Im currently 150+ days clean from gambling, and wish to stay that way. Ive noticed british residents can selfexxlude with gamstop. Sadly Norwegians and many other countries do not have such a way of excluding every licensed casino at once.
So the thing i thought about the other day was. Is there some way we could self exclude ourself without that database that only residents of the respective countries could use?
If someone collected a database of emails to all the casinos and made it possible to send a similar e-mail to everyone at once, stating that you are struggling with an addiction and asking for them to not accept any signups/play from an account in your name. Surely the casinos has to honor this to keep their license? Im pretty sure they arent alowed to let people who has openly admitted to them they are addicted play on their site?
Anyways, dont know if this turned out as rambles of a madman or if it has something useful in there. Let me know your thoughts ??
17th June 2019 at 11:18 pm #70444You can use Gamban. There’s a link at the top of the page. Gamban blocks your device from accessing gambling sites.
There are tons of gambling sites out there, but none of them operate with a license towards the Norwegian market. Due to the Norwegian government being pussies about blocking sites that they deem to operate illegally towards the Norwegian market, while maintaining the monopoly for Norsk Tipping, all online gambling companies operate without a license.
There is no other tool than Gamban which is a tool only for your device.
If you think you will just end up using other devices, you need to manually self exclude yourself. A good and effective way to do it would be to map all license holders, contact 1 casino from each, and tell them to exclude you from all their casinos. Morally they all should follow this up, but you might have to do this manually. Keep in mind that if you for example self exclude from 1 casino that operates under the same license as 5 others, you’re gonna be blocked from getting money back from all of them, but they won’t necessarily block you from registering and depositing.
I would also recommend changing your bank to DNB. If you use DNB and only DNB, you’re not gonna be able to cash out from any site without using a 3rd party e-wallet.
If there’s anything else you’d like to know, or you need help with anything, please let me know and we can arrange a chat through a 3rd party app or a phone call and I can help you out as much as I can.

18th June 2019 at 12:45 am #70454As someone who has above average knowledge about computers, gamban is useless. I am currently doing fine gambling wise, but you can never be too secure. But nevertheless thanks for all the great tips anyways.
If a list of email to all casinos/companies(ofcourse every is impossible) makes it easier for someone not having access to the tools trough their government majes it easier to quit, i would 100% make it.
Right now im just looking for feedback on this idea, and eventual flaws that could come up. If this even is possible to do i dont know at this point.
The only flaw i can see so far is how to identify yourself to the casinos by email. Noone wants their pesonal documents gicen away to 100s of internet casinos. If anyone knows any other ways to proove your identity please speak up. If there is no identification people can mail for others without their knowledge and agreement.
18th June 2019 at 9:52 am #70468The thing is, there’s way too many casinos to find out every email address. Even if you found all the ones you thought you’d be able to play at, another will sneak up.
If you wanted to do this, I’d suggest starting with UKGC website as it has a list of every licensed casino. Click on each license holder and send them an email individually. I’d have thought the MGA would have a list like this too? Start this way if needed, and then if you Google online casinos for your country and more appear, email those separate. 🙂
