I want to preface this by saying this is something I have been working on for a while and want constructive critique on.
Group gambling has always been an enjoyable hobby. Poker in particular gets people going while single slots can cost a ton in the long run and overall is detrimental. There are ways to decrease spending of individuals while still making it profitable to small:large venue, with slots. People love that great hit and love the thrill of crazy odds. So here is my idea based on this.
Poker Style slots with a percentage going to the house every round. In this we could have a group of machines let’s say 10 total back to back and at each end you buy a ticket for a round (ticket price between 20 and 50 depending on venue) when your round comes up you insert the slip you bought into the machine and you play against other players for the highest score in x amount of time (10-20 minutes) the winner of said round is paid 7/10ths of the pot. With the same ticket they are paid, they are then placed in a bonus round. Every 11th game is the bonus round game where all the winners can additional 8/10th through the bonus competition.
The casino takes 2/10th from each game and 2/10 from the bonus round. So in a 50 quid per per player game (20 min of play) the casino would pull 100. The player 350 and 50 saved for the bonus round. These numbers can be shuffled more or less depending on what is considered decent profit to the casino/player interest.
There would be decent profit for the casino every hour while keeping the speed of players losing lives to a minimum.
While i don’t see this as a subsitute for large win all the time slots I see having 1 or 2 of these in a casino would make for fun. What does everyone think?
