if your easily lead them jump off a cliff with the other lemmings
Dune has some very valid points.
24th April 2019 at 1:03 am #62071Dune I think you sit in that category of the latter comment. No point dude, I don’t rise to bait, you appear at first sight to be a very unpleasant individual as your response to everyone’s argument, be it polite or not, is to call them a “fucking moron” – this to me just shows a lack of manners, intelligence and inability to take part in a debate, so I just ignore your posts hereon in.
Take a chill pill and go out with your friends, I am optimistic that you have some, even with your obvious anger management issues.
Lol anger management issues .
if I was anymore laid back I’d be horizontal .
if you don’t like my comments then don’t read them
24th April 2019 at 1:16 am #62072One massive thing everyone is missing here is that we are still watching the videos if you don’t want to watch don’t watch.!
If you don’t agree with what the bandit does the responsibility he has to his viewers and this forum by consistently telling them “do not do what I do”
what is he using reverse psychology
to me they are entertainment videos not once have I thought after watching a video shit the bed I can do that and blown all my money away .
i can do that on my own as a gambler .
there are many people who want to know how he’s doing on the REEL King journey and yes I’ll be gutted for him if he did lose £160 k but as he says all the time he is playing with profit .
TBH He didn’t even need to tell anyone about his success on REEL king and WILD Swarm he did because he is trying to keep the videos entertaining .
He didn’t need to buy 1000s of Gamban codes to help problematic gamblers
He didn’t need to give away £3000- £5000 on each of the sites he promotes
He doesn’t even need to help give away £1,000,000 to a non league cup .
The bandit is now a “Brand” from a successful website to an even bigger YouTube channel which the comments are turned off I presume purely so no one can put something in there to get his channel banned again as they are mega sensitive to people reporting videos they don’t like .
Gets me mad when someone builds something up from scratch and then absolute knobjockeys try to piss on it due to jealousy
1124th April 2019 at 1:44 am #62077@smokingbeagle the thing is, your perception of it all, regardless of right or wrong, is your perception. It doesn’t mean someone else can’t or doesn’t have their own translation of events and how it impacts them. It also doesn’t make them right or wrong on the face of it.
We get a lot of “control yourself you fucking prick” but it’s not that easy for many people and the insults don’t help anything, even the debate suffers for it too because we waste time on getting rid of it to give the debate more strength.
Look at the KYC etc. That ONLY exists because many people struggle with gambling, the same as people struggle with other types of addiction.
In the space of 6 weeks last year, 44 people committed suicide directly due to gambling, here in the UK.
Yes, it’s frustrating but acting upon those frustrations hinders rather than helps. The whole debate needs to be as level headed as possible and that is highly important so that people can put their heart into it. People put their heart into it and are met with insults which is just a bad cocktail of people on both sides of the coin, who both (mostly) want to help.
One of the truest things I heard about justice came from the mother of a murdered son. “The only justice I seek is that this ever happens to any child and family again”.
The average person (sic) can be seen shouting crap like “bring back the death penalty” and cannot see the irony. I say this of course as someone who has done those debates too. People can speak from passion and get it right, sometimes they don’t. However when people speak from anger, they rarely have the starting knowledge to carry forward and when it’s presented, they struggle to pick it up, simply because they are angry. Angry/frustrated/pissed off/annoyed etc.
A fresh start with a cool temper is a great way to get into these debates. Because in the most part, we’re all trying to get the same thing.
No decent person wants someone to suffer. I think beyond all the frustration, most if not all of us want the same thing.

1 – Thats not true. It exists for about 9 reasons. And none of them are what you said. Stop making things up.
2 – Good for them. Less money for the gambling companies you so hate.

1. KYC exists for the same reasons “when the fun stops, stop” signs exist. Because companies were pressured into trying to curb problem gambling. but you say that’s completely untrue. So let’s see those about 9 reasons…..
2. There’s nothing good about people committing suicide although given you work in the industry, that you think there is something good, isn’t even remotely eye opening.
24th April 2019 at 9:55 am #62110KYC is AML regulation, it’s nothing to do with problem gambling, it’s not even specific to gambling.

Dude, I work here, i do this daily. And i gamble and am on the side of players over companies wherever possible. If you research me you’d know I am THE most outspoken person in this industry. I also get paid to know what I know. You dont. What you know is what you believe, which in this case, sorry for saying, is nothing. Your making up your belief to fit your argument. I have actual knowledge.
So KYC was brought in to stop Money laundering. Then adding on to that was for stopping transfer of illegal funds, financing of terrorism and global movement of money through casinos. Then it became with regulated markets about verifying players for legality with new laws. KYC doesnt exist for responsible gaming. It partly covers it now, but thats source of wealth. Not KYC. Source of wealth and gaming habits exist for this reason. See below for todays post about what a company is looking for, just before you jump down someones throat. videoslots hired people in each jurisdiction to track gameplay and watch for systematic problem gamblers. What more can a company do?!
As for suicide, i was joking, obviously. But that doesnt stop me thinking that NOTHING can stop people gambling f they want to. This existing before casinos, and will do way after if they get banned in the future. People always find a way to fuck their lives up. IF its not gambling its drugs. If not alcohol. If not its something else. People will always be adrenaline junkies. And people have no control filter at times.
I have no sympathy if someone commits suicide over gambling. I feel happy for them. As if they are happier dead and not feeling anything any more, then who am I to judge that? I feel sad for the people left behind, as they will miss that person, but thats it. Gambling isnt at fault for this. People are. So dont blame gambling, blame yourself.
24th April 2019 at 10:27 am #621142 – Good for them. Less money for the gambling companies you so hate.Probably not the most tactful line, given that this forum has frequently seen posts from individuals who have considered to tried to commit suicide.
Personally I put gambling companies up there with tobacco companies and they gu who sells drugs on the street corners. They are all there to make money out of addiction and have little interest in the harm it causes unless it impacts on their profit margins (hence the gambling companies concerns regarding verification in case of hefty fines)
That said, that probably makes me dumb as I have given them money. In hindsight I probably should have handed it to the drug dealer, probably would have had more fun 🙂

Cue a thread about forum rules, respect and bullying.

Seriously? This was your first contribution to the thread, to have a go at Mr B.
Can we just focus on the original debate and not do the “sly dig” thing at Mr B, which is getting pretty old by now, regardless of whether you agree with him or not
24th April 2019 at 10:37 am #62120Well look at that, you and argyl just contradicted each other.
I concede to KYC being partly for monetary crime which you seem to have divided up in 8 (or so) other reasons for it to exist. Aside from wanting to make yourself the only valid voice here, you ask what I think IS the vital question however part of your current answer is, for me, disgusting. However, I’m not blaming YOU for all of the sufferation under the banner of profitable gambling.
>>>>> What more can a company do?!
“As for suicide, i was joking” – Yea, in my heartfelt opinion which I am allowed, there are no rooms for “professional jokes”, seeing as you are a professional, working for the industry.
“I have no sympathy if someone commits suicide over gambling.” – That much is abundantly clear.
“I feel happy for them.” – Just collateral damage for a wage packet huh, an entire life gone, no longer existing, no longer able to find any happiness with those left behind you feel you do care about, because they have to suffer the loss, unlike yourself.FACT : Hundreds of lives lost to the addiction of gambling, last year, here, in the UK alone.
You seem to be quite an angry person trying to jump for joy while I sit here, knowing nothing.

Yes, seriously. It’s not a sly dig, it’s what I think. He is the sole reason I don’t really get involved in any real debate on here with his tiresome waffling and I’m probably not the only one.
Even now after being told he’s completely incorrect he’s not fully accepting he’s wrong. Just embarrassing and I pity him.

Yep, I see your point to a certain extent, but lets face it, eejit aint helping with his insensitive comments regarding suicide, stating good for them and he feels happy for them, I always gave him more credit.
Lines that just generate flame wars.
