Source of wealth is bollocks. Even if to prevent laundering it is being forced upon genuine users and abused.
You can’t introduce such power and even restrictions upon players who’ve deposited for some time and are at an overall loss. Neither should players across countries all of a sudden be demanded to provide wage slips, spouses wages, mortgage or rent agreements etc.
I could go into a bookies tomorrow and stuff thousands into a FOBT or on horses or lotteries without question. That’s in cash, so who records all of those transactions? Nobody, I walk out and the cashier empties the machine and stuffs the safe. I can even set up a direct debit for government lotteries and nobody asks for the source of wealth.
It’s all unregulated and just a law to make governments and casino’s/bookies look like they’re being responsible

After months of backwards and forwards it was accepted and i continued playing there. They have now asked me for it again, why? I am up on the casino lifetime quite substantially so surely, the Source of Wealth could actually genuinely go down as winnings from their own casino? Does a casino need to perform a SOurce of Wealth check on you when you are in profit at that casino?
seems to me, they like deposits but not withdrawels i think it’s an excuse because someone came out on top anyone else noticed since the buy bonus dissapeard the bonuses aren’t as regular? also whats happened to extra chilli mia.

I wish I had seen this before, perhaps I can make a few suggestions that will make your life easier mate.
In a previous life, I was FCA authorised to give advice to companies on their employee benefits. AML (Anti Money Laundering) and Source of Wealth checks were standard and I couldn’t give any financial advice until I had documented proof that the company were genuine.
Applying this to your casino accounts, you should be approaching them saying you make your income from affiliation and you have savings in the bank that you use to fund your gambling. I know this is a ballache but company accounts and copies of bank statements should shut them up once and for all. If they come back dragging their heels and not allowing you to deposit what you want, then they are basically saying sorry you’ve won too much we don’t want your business and hiding behind AML/Source of Wealth legislation. Its just a cop out as far as I am concerned. Maybe you need to move up to Director level to challenge their decisions.

30th October 2019 at 10:53 am #82430The Online casinos will give you a “hard time” with wealth checks/letters/e-mails to check if everything is OK and you are not gambling too much……why? Because they know your channel is in the public eye and they have to be seen to be doing the right things – they know that it is only a matter of time before the UK Government start restricting them like they have the high-street bookies. I think gambling is a BIG problem – not just the punters losing their shirts but the fact the online gambling industry (with their companies all registered in off-shore in tax havens) is draining money out of the UK economy and pay no UK tax.

Yeah, no one likes being asked but it stops a lot of people losing more than they can afford and stops some addiction.< (what it’s designed for)

This happened for a reason. In stop and landbased Casinos are losing customers, too. Not so much now, but watch what happens over the next few years. The information being requested and forever kept in data is those in power trying to control, dictate and influence how people spend their money. Credit checks being made and credit being refused due to data on gambling spending’s. This is life long data. Spending 50 k in one day gambling is not acceptable soon. It won’t be allowed.
People that are Gambling that don’t work and on benefits are great news to Casinos if they are from the UK. It helps the Governments Tax benefits. Players losing benefits gambling is great, they get handouts off the tax payer that will now be taxed. They are rarely asked for spending information. They are known unemployed and on benefits; they are not big spenders, but they come first for promotions as they are wanted every week. Those from the UK spending huge amounts at any Casino aren’t wanted any more, as weird as that sounds. My point is if your gambling at there casino why do they care and what business is it of theres where you got the money at, if you walk into a vegas casino they dont ask shit.

A local highland league team in Scotland had a fire which damaged the kit room and changing rooms the day after Xmas.
