Just wanted to get other peoples thoughts on the posible use of subliminal grapgics on some casinos? I can not prove that it is being used but it would not be hard to do. for instance if you had a red rectangle then within that rectangle you could spell out a word or phrase or even a symbol but is a slightly lighter or darker colour tone which the eye might not detect but the subconsious would? I know some sites use fancy graphics which is all gambling related but subliminal content is not uncommon! the rectangle or what ever shape was used doesnt even need to be big just barely visible.
Let me know what you guys think, would be interesting to hear your thoughts.
thanks

112th February 2019 at 2:45 pm #48410Highly doubt any online casinos or games are using subliminal messaging in the manner you describe, simply because it would be so easy for anyone on a home computer to detect and expose it (even just by altering the brightness and contrast of their screen). Slots certainly do, however, use a variety of clever psychological tricks in their design to keep you hooked on playing in everything from graphics to music, sound FX and play mode.

No I don’t watch TV and have not watched TV in about 18 years or so now. If you are wondering what the image says it is ‘Hello’ but I think some sites would use these tactics if they could get away with it. there are a lot of dodgy sites out there as we all know.

12th February 2019 at 3:14 pm #48424that was why I was asking, nothing would surprise me with casinos. If I could make something up on paint in a few minutes I dread to thenk what a casnino could do especially since they have the money to go the limits. Us small folk don’t stand a chance really.

12th February 2019 at 3:26 pm #48433McDonalds have used music for a long time in different ways – faster beats when the shop is busy to make people eat faster and pplaying classical music in outlets with rowdy crowds to try and calm them down. Subliminal messaging has been around for a long time.
I remember years ago the USA got into big trouble for it for putting subliminal messages in films to try and get people to join the army when the numbers where short. Will try and find the article when I get off this conference call.

I’ve a friend who knows a man who helped in developing fobt software, he is based in the USA and they apparently looked at incorporating facial recognition into them so so your theory isn’t a million miles a way from what might be true
