I’m not really a big gambler and am very rarely on sites but today i fancied sticking in a ton on the Vegas Hero casino,i played 20-50p spins and burnt it all down until i had 10p left in the account and was about to go into the bonus funds,i went onto the Book of Dead to get rid of the 10p to use my bonus when fk me,it bonused on it,landed the Aces and after a full house,a couple of 4’s and a retrigger i ended up with a 290x bonus, then went over to Eye of the Kraken as i was playing that at 50p stake when i busted on it when i went down to 10p,i had 2 torpedos left and played that out and astonishingly got the top offer of £62.50,went back to 20p stake and won £40 again after completing the torpedoes,i was fkng delighted then but wasn’t done and went onto Wild North for a final shot on 20p stake,i got the top feature on the 5th spin and it gave me nigh on a full house of Reindeer for £38 and the other two spins yielded £19 for a £57 bonus,i ended up with £202 after being down to 10p on my cash balance and cashed out £102 up for the day,it may not seem a lot but i felt as smug as fk after that and thinking back over my years of gambling i do not think i have had a better recovery than that, down to my last 10p and being pissed off,20 minutes later over 200 up,all on low stakes.. Anyone else been down to their last spin and made a sweet recovery?
23rd January 2019 at 4:59 pm #34011Great wins matey! Always sweet when it falls on the last spin, when all hope is lost!
Last month in the casino itself, I was down to my last spin and hit five books on Book of Ra. Bonus didn’t go for much, and I was soon down to my last couple of spins again when I landed the bonus on Book of Ra 6. Ended up getting a full screen of kings for 375x, think the total bonus went for 500xish off the top of my head, so I cashed out and ran away! Mad session.

Great recovery that mate. Not as good as yours but years ago 800 down in bookies had 20 quid left for taxi home, rang missus she said will pick me up so feeling well pissed off 10 quid in fobt took 300. My other tenner 5 each way on a 14 to 1 horse was called orphina rompted it next race 5 each way 66 to 1 won was over the moon. Got all my money back. Missus was in good books that day. You always remember the good days
13rd January 2019 at 7:00 pm #34047Wow that was sweet, not having to tell the mrs where the money went was even better.. That was some run of results you had but you still think about why it couldnt have happened at the start of the session, fair play to you though, putting the last of your dough on horses, especially 66/1 shots takes some balls..
3rd January 2019 at 7:16 pm #34048Yeah cheers was only 5 runner race as well. Not my best though. on way to pub went in bet Fred no word of a lie 1 quid in roulette on zero came out next spin 10 on zero came out, lost ten quid took 350 off a quid. Last race at Cheltenham his nibs I’m sure someone will remember it 50 each way came in 14 to 1 think I won about 1300 ish off 1 quid but believe me had hundreds of sessions of been slaughtered the other way. Again this was about 10 years ago
13rd January 2019 at 7:20 pm #34051Just a few years ago was due to go away for five days to Portugal to celebrate my birthday with my other half and friends. Villa and flights all paid for and a hire car waiting for us, classic case of living beyond our means. With no credit card to fall back on, as I ditched them a while before, I found myself 24 hours from departure with £20 to my name and pay day two weeks off. That £20 would have got us to the airport where a difficult convo with my friend would have followed revolving around me asking him to sub us a not inconsiderable amount of money – not the best way to start a holiday! In desperation I headed for BetFred in my lunch hour and resolved to play the next Racing Post Nap dog to win and reverse forecast. It wins and the forecast lands, my £20 is now £90. I’m spreading my bets, a tenner on the racing, a fiver on the virtual – proper mug bets – but they are winning. Forty five minutes in I’m at £350. Still not enough! I head for a fobt – of all things I’m playing their Cocoroach Racing game! I can’t lose! Finish off with some conservative roulette, walk out with £690. Great holiday – never in doubt!

3rd January 2019 at 10:37 pm #34112Once about a year ago I was down from a deposit of about £150 on Casumo to my last £2 and stuck it in Book of Ra at 20p stake. It bonused on the last spin. I can’t remember how the rest of the session went but I do know about four hours later I cashed out £3000. Then lost most of it over several sessions in the following 2 weeks like a mug.

These are my favourite stories as they highlight the reality of gambling.
yes you will at times get that saving spin or recovery, but note that most of these stories are just recoveries from money already lost.
It will all go back in and all you have done is churn over money you will lose eventually anyway in most cases standing in a seedy casinI or bookies.
Go for a walk, join a gym or watch a movie, all far healthier than watching your money drain away and the sense of satisfaction from not gambling will be immense and an achievement for many.
Its a new year, make a new life and spend that money on holidays or less transient happiness. Use Gamban and self exclusion and just watch the Bandits videos for your fun
3rd January 2019 at 11:33 pm #34138Haha, already Gamstop’d a couple of weeks ago mate, I had a solid month in December of massive hits on the slots then went overboard on live roulette after a bad tilt and lost everything plus most of my wages. I’m getting mad cravings for slots every day now but at the same time glad I can’t scratch the itch.
