    Hey guys

With the help of a guy on here I successfully signed up to gamban, stopped gambling for about 6 months, paid off 70% of the debt I had and life was going well.

I got into crypto and made about £6k, then discovered crypto gambling. A couple of hundred quid couldn’t be bad. Coupled with FOBT it was the ultimate disaster.

Using cash converter buy back as my last straw I still couldn’t get the money back.

im down a lot and my only option now was to take 2 phones out , they would cost me £120 a month but I can sell them both for £2k and recover my losses, learning the hard lesson I did. The only issue is (the phone people) have a clause where you can’t sell their phones for 6 months. It’s a Samsung galaxy ultra 5G worth £1k each but I just feel like this risk is my only option right now. I need to buy back my jewellery and iPad which expire in 3 days and pay the bills which I missed because I’m a fuckin idiot.

please can anyone just advise what they suggest as right now selling these phones and risking (the phone people) finding out by someone trying to unlock the phone, is my only option.

    thanks guys

We’re not going to tell you anything you don’t already know like you had already signed up for gamban

If you have a trusted family member you can ask them for help getting back your jewellery and phone. They will need to come with you to the store to pick up your stuff and pay for it

If you’re really going to the lengths of using crypto at scam casinos that probably won’t pay if you win, then you need a financial steward. Again that trusted family member is going to have to look after most of your money and prevent you from buying crypto or withdrawing large sums of cash for FOBTs

Understand gambling (especially slots) are designed to take your money. There is no glory or profit to be had over the long term

You should probably edit the stuff about (the phone people) etc

Maskwearer’s advice is spot on and is probably the best way forward for you takes away any risk that you could lose it all in the future.

Thank you guys. I’ve arranged for my partner to look after my finances and it will stop that happening again. I just don’t know what I can do all I want is my stuff back and I don’t get paid for another 2 weeks.

I tried to sell the phone / offer to a friend but no one wants it. Even offered as collateral so I can get my iPad and jewellery from the pawn broker (expiring tomorrow)

in my last ditch attempt, does anyone on here offer some kind of loan or know of a interpersonal loan so I can at least get my stuff back before it expires. I’ll do anything.

I can offer my phone as collateral, I tried even to do a buy back at the pawn brokers but the security check had shown it was less than 6 months old and that phone company do checks on it.

please please any advise I don’t want to lose my iPad and my jewellery 🙁

Well you do get a very advanced device, with more computational power then 20 years ago high end system you could get for the money. Phones are’nt just phones these days. Full blown camera which destroys the digital camera market pretty much, media devices and handy all in one devices pretty much.

As for your problem: sorry dude, but you took a risk when gamble, and like any other adult, you stand for the consequences. I’m not going to sugar coat it to you. It’s just the way it is. Take your loss, move on.

I cant help regarding getting your stuff back however…..get yourself to every bookie within a 10 mile radius and self exclude. Remember this feeling of desperation and keep it always in your mind, it feels worse than winning yeah? Be strong. Let this be your very bottom if you have reached rock bottom the only way is up.

I’m on gamban myself however I’m in a slightly different situation from you as I was addicted to online gambling, I’ve zero interest in FOBTS which came about when roulette was reduced to £2 a spin and in general when it comes to gambling that’s not online I can take it or leave it. I guess I’m lucky like that. Surround yourself with people who genuinely want what’s best for you. Your in a position now that sounds like it could really be affecting your relationship and mental health gambling can ruin life’s don’t let it ruin yours.

I hope you get things sorted with the gambling

There was also a prank! I made it, I didn’t even think I’d get lucky this time. I contacted the operator to withdraw the bonus from the card, and he advised me of the same online slot machine and offered to try this one. I liked it so much that I almost spent all the bonus bets. It was great, but I play occasionally. I understand that it is not always possible to win, or rather, always impossible. But to pay money as for an evening in a restaurant or a sense of fun you can. It’s relaxing like you just went to a bar.

Sorry bud but it seems your out of luck unless you can get something like a pay day loan which I’d assume you can’t but maybe you can since you took out 2 phones on contract and they wouldn’t let you have them with a poor credit score as I’ve tried before and been knocked back.

Id take it as a life lesson and move on you can buy another iPad and jewelry when you get your addiction in order.

I wouldn’t recommend digging yourself deeper in debt.

Al the best mate I hope you manage to get yourself sorted, gambling addiction truly is a hard one to get on top of I’ve been there and wrote the book mate.
