Think I might join you Haz. Keep up the good work mate. I’m the unluckiest gambler in the world, so fuck knows why I do it lol.

Gonna be hard but I’m gonna give it a try from today. Hope it carries on going well for you, and it gets easier each week that goes by.

Gambling addiction is a hard as fuck habit to crack. And all this manipulated advertising by streamers has to stop now. They say they understand and feel for their followers losing thousands and fucking their lives up. Yet all they do is put a 2 second clip saying “gamble  responsibly” in the front of their uploads. Then proceed to deposit thousands of pounds….spin at fivers and tenners…and put links to several casinos in the descriptions. It’s just a massive head fuck that they all do.

I know they have to earn a living but….by now they all should be earning a ton from affiliation. So why not just remove the links. Actually upload some videos explaining the pitfalls of becoming a compulsive gambler….talk about how it’s all a big con. Talk about how this horrific addiction can ruin people’s lives.

Rolla did one once! About 1- 2 years ago. But other than that, I don’t think a single affiliated streamer has opened up and been true about addiction. I’d like to see Bandit do one. I know he’s spoken in here about it. But I’d like to see a video from him. With no links or fuck all. Just for him to be open and honest about this truly manipulative and cancerous system.

Cheers mate. I think was helped is watching bandits last 2 vids going hundreds of spins without  a bonus and seeing a grand disappear in no time just on a £2 stake as well because it shows the reality of how slots can play. I hate to see people lose with a passion but showing this on videos really does make you think there not worth it anyway. If you give them up yourself you know I’m always around to help and advise. I’ll never to try and persuade anyone to do anything in terms of gambling.

Nice one @Haz40 😀 You can do this! It’s tough but at over 3 weeks clean from the slots you’re well on your way. It helps that you’ve kept the poker avenue open on a Saturday to let off a bit of the gambling steam. You’ll soon start to see the benefits 🙂

Thanks xbob. The comments on here mean alot ?.

Jb i didn’t gamble online till about 18 months ago. At the time i was debt free. I’m now approx 8k in debt. About 2k slots 4k poker and 2k arcades. I suppose like many i found videos on you tube and began to watch. Rolla was the first followed by Steve then a few others who i intermittently watch. Never once did i think i can replicate their wins. This looks fun or thinking i would make money. I’m old enough and dumb enough to make my own choices and mistakes. I have a very addictive personality and even with warnings i would of done the same thing. I have only myself to blame for the money i have lost but that’s me. A young naive new to online gambling 18 year old may see things differently and yes you are correct there is always more that can be done. Bandit bangs on all the time saying any deposit see it has gone. How many times have i heard him say that. As for other streamers i hear very little although rolla is incredibly supportive to people who choose to try and stop. In his recent streams i didn’t even know what site he was playing on as i can’t even remember him mentioning it. Gambling is an addiction which is easy to hide. Easy to get out of hand and worst of all easy to ruin lives. I do believe there is more that can be done yes but i don’t think in my opinion there will be ever enough.

Well done haz . uve done this b4 for the most part . so im confident that u will smash this, ure wee 10r on poker on a sat nite, will be for fun ,and in the grand scheme of things that is all it is ,an enjoyable nite with mates down the pub .

My last gamble was on the 22nd of may , and yes it is really hard , but its getting alot easier as i go on. I still get the urge now and then , but it is so easy now to chase that feeling away .

To look at my bank account now and not see any casino deposits , is just amazing , b4 it was horrific . pages on pages of deposits and some w/drawals but now im clean except from a wee nite at the bingo with the wifey ,where i walk past the casino all the time to get the toilet without any urge whatsoever . Gtfit haz u da man ?

Personally I’ve battled 3 different addictions I’ve battled and won 2 just can’t beat the 3rd one which is gambling I’ve went months before and then I get an urge and have a go whether it be online or down the bookies I always find a way, I think I said on one of my last comments that I was giving up, since then I haven’t gambled at all around 2 weeks or so I think, im in quite a bit of debt tbh bit of a struggle but just getting through it best I can, pay day is Friday and that’s the day I have to conquer gambling after all my bills there won’t be much left anyway but what I used to do was deposit before my bills even came out (bad idea) this is why I’m in a lot of debt but I’m trying like you haz and a few others on here but it’s hard and the video situation personally I believe the videos help me majority of the time but sometimes I think they make me worse I understand this is my responsibility not blaming any streamers this is just my opinion so for me I dunno whether it’s time for me to leave gambling on a whole for a while then see what I’m like after a good few months then maybe catch up on some vids and if I feel like the urge is back, I’m going to have to stop gambling as a whole for the rest of my life this is just my view currently!

But good luck to everyone on here trying to stop and well done to anyone who has beat this addiction.

Aww here we go another bad beat story ??

Atleast at those games its not unlimited rebuys there comes a time when your out and no more rebuys like it or not. This can kinda help you get away from the table would never recommend rebuying when on tilt or pissed up anyway but hey poker can be fun with a good crowd, need some fun in life right…

Very well done haz. It’s hard to break the cycle but you are on the right path. Over my years gambling  I’ve lost ridiculous amounts of money and risked relationships. Addiction is hard to beat. I wish you the best of luck and truely believe you’ve made the right choice.

Just basics, good luck mate.. Concentrate on your business. Put all your energy into it and make it thrive. Make your life a better place for you and those around you. It’s all any of us can do.

Anyone else considering joining these guys should do, honestly if a part of you questions whether you are in control or can afford to gamble them you shouldn’t. If you are one of the lucky ones who really can afford it and has fun whether they win or lose then congrats haha.. For the rest of us abstention is the only way.

Each tournament had 2000 plus entrants but when my mind wasn’t right I’d go big on cash or play 55 dollar tournaments or 109 dollars losing mainly on cash games. I’m probably up on tournaments if I’m honest but they take hours and hours which i don’t have. I’ve always said i will still play live in the pub. It’s a tenner and yes you can re buy but i see it as entertainment and it’s the only form of gambling I’m in profit. My poison has always been slots but if i bet on horses or football i know it can tilt me to play slots so got to give that up as well.

I could have wrote this as it sums up me when playing poker. If I’m playing without tilt and I have the time I can easily run deep in many of the micro tournaments then it comes down to the last 20 players or so and I jam with a premium hand only to be called by some donkey with a ridiculous hand that he should never be calling with and somehow gets there whilst I’m out and the mouth breather gets to go on to the final table and make a decent score that’s when I go on tilt and start playing cash games for half of my bankroll trying to get a quick double up only to be 2 outed when I get put all in with KK/AA as I play a bit on the nitty side when I’m playing $100-200 stacks… <span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>But that’s poker, there’s always an element of luck involved and I still love the game I just clearly don’t have the patience or mental fortitude to handle the varience swings.</span>

I’ll be a month gamble free come the 15th and it’s not been easy in the slightest; hardest addiction I’ve ever faced as its constantly on my mind even when I’m trying to distract myself by gaming or watching a movie.

They run £15+£10 rebuys at The Genting in Liverpool on Saturday nights that I’m tempted to start playing only problem is it starts at 7 and running deep could mean quite an expensive taxi ride home since it has to go through the mersey tunnel and obviously it’s a casino so I’d have to take steps such as only taking the cash I’ll need for the night and leave the debit cards at home. I’m still mulling it over but it would be nice to have some excitement even if its only once a month or so.

Well done on doing so well mate, we are quite similar when it comes to gambling so I know how hard it’s been for you. Hopefully this time next year we can both post about the wads we’ve managed to save up ??

Hope so mate. I must admit i really do enjoy live poker. I know you can still lose a bit but it’s not online. It’s part of the night out to me. It’s not a mare if i lose and tbh I’m actually well in profit. If that’s all i do I’m happy.

I have never not gambled so i don’t know what it’s like not to gamble and a life without it. Even been on gamstop i would still visit arcades and play slots occasionally play fobts put bets on and you my mates account for online poker. Over 30 years of gambling. 25 days ago now i decided I’d had enough. I haven’t placed a bet. Put even 10p in a slot. No online poker. I still maintain i will play poker in the pub on Saturday night £10 buy in but as far as bookies arcades and online goes they can do one. It’s been a difficult 25 days but I’m determined as hell. I’ve had amazing support from lots of people and now i can’t let them or myself down. I hope i can do this permanently i really do. I didn’t want to make a post like this until i was a few weeks into stopping. Sometimes I’m a bit bored and I’m trying to fill my time up. I’m certainly not anti gambling and i wish i could gamble sensibly and in moderation but i cant. I wish i would of tried to stop years ago now. I’ve no idea if i will succeed and i feel this is one of the biggest challenges in my life. I’m a competitive person. I wont lose. This will not beat me. I will beat it.

massive well done haz it wouldnt of been easy to open up and share with us your journey and with that attitude i believe you will beat it pal start a thread up just for your progress  to log it all im starting to question whether i need a break or stop all together myself its got the point where im getting wins after months of losses and not withdrawing it just keep playing and ive only gambled for around 8 years so to see you’ve Gambled all that time and still tackling it is a very inspirational I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST
