16th November 2020 at 2:08 am #104903That’s a load of horse s**t man, like I understand gambling can be addictive but I don’t like how they think they can call all the shots. Gambling is a choice and as much as people lose, no one is forcing them to play. I’ll be absolutely furious if this comes through because how am I ever supposed to win big if I can only do £100 per month.

16th November 2020 at 6:49 pm #104918UKGC let 3years old kids gambel on Fifa game £1000s and goverment keep saying is suprised game wtf RTP on fifa pack is very bad like 16% rtp
7th November 2020 at 12:27 am #104920You have to look at it from a different perspective, if everyone was fully sourced verified and done before the gambling starts they can control the amount you play, (very hard long and time consuming for us all but a better solution to the gambledemic the UK is in). They can’t won’t do that so average limit for everyone is what it will come too and it will save so many people from what many have gone through.
On the flip side gambling within your budget, is that realistically a gamble? Fun is a good thing for everyone but let’s face it, a gamble is a risk by definition, if your not risking much your not a gambler.
I agree with you, £100 per month is rediculus, they should have better communication with banks ect for the controls, to make sure people don’t go broke, they can’t trust us to limit ourselves so what else is the solution. About time they did something IMO.
However there is a third position, one that I feel is the most important, you are in control of your self, if you want to risk it all then great good for we love the gamble, enjoy the experience understand what will happen win or lose. But don’t moan dwell or cry about it when you lose, you must and this is the biggest thing, accept what’s happening, what you want, deserve, think your due or feel you’ve earned, isn’t taken into consideration. When you risk it, make sure your prepared for the worst outcome. If not, UNLUCKY!

is nothing to do about going broke,is £100 limit lost,so even if you win on £100 deposit 1000x you still cant spin after you lose first £100,well if players have problem they should go ask for help or simple join gamstop, this limit is all about go to bokies play UK casinos no limits, dont play on Malta casino..only new gamblers they moan when they lose, old gamblers they got use to it lol
7th November 2020 at 1:38 pm #104933A lot of the UK casinos already enforce this now although not to such a harsh extent, but funnily enough only after you try to WITHDRAW rather than DEPOSIT…
For example over the summer I signed up to Rizk, turned £500 into £2500, got asked for passport and bank statement for the withdrawal to be processed…a few days later
After a review of your account, and the documents you have provided us with, we have set a monthly Net loss limit of £800 on your account.
So even though I had only lifetime deposited £500 on Rizk I was already hit with that limit on my account! Annoyed me so much I signed up to Leovegas, blew a few grand on there…as I said funnily enough no documentation or limits set there as I didn’t attempt to withdraw! – then signed up to 6 months Gamstop which is now I’m happy to say 5 years Gamstop
What is also strange is the fact a gambler can walk into a bookies / arcade / bingo / land based casino and essentially anonymously lose as much as they want without a bat of an eyelid anyway, I also find it DISGUSTING how at the seaside now kids can play the 10p Barcrest community games (Rainbow Riches Party / Boogie Nights etc.) so they’re familiar with them for when they turn 18 and see the same games in the adult area!
17th November 2020 at 2:39 pm #104934Calzon casino use to do same think limit players lost,6 mounth later they out of UK market
7th November 2020 at 11:44 pm #104939Dunder tried this with me before they closed to UK market. I said to them that its my choice on were when and how much I spend gambling. They said I can rechange my limit if I so wish. I said nah il just close my account instead. I set my limits and knew what they were. They shouldn’t of changed them for me. If this gets forced on all casinos then il just jack the lot in.

8th November 2020 at 6:22 pm #104955It’s total bollocks…. and I’m getting annoyed that “ i “ somebody who plays responsibly, has the money spare, have not had any issues with gambling and is responsible with my limits, once again is being fucked because other people can’t…
I am totally sympathetic to those in trouble and I wish them luck fixing those issues, but you can’t baby sit the fucking world, where’s the beer limit or the cigarette limits then ???? Surly the source of Wealth checks cover these issues…. I’m surprised a fucking petition hasn’t been started…..
I know this makes me sound like a twat, and I’m not trying to be, if you’re having issues this isn’t a dig at you or anything, and happy to offer advice if I can, … but yeah…… fuck off nanny state….
8th November 2020 at 8:56 pm #104958The thing is for there to be individual limits then everyone would have to complete an income and outgoings to determine exactly what they can afford to lose. That’s not practical, its too much administration so they’re throwing a blanket limit on. Its totally wrong but they are trying to cover themselves.
Its nonsense anyway. If they say I can only afford to lose £100 a month but I want to deposit more I will just do it across 5 sites, suddenly I’ve lost £500. Thankfully im on Gamstop for 2 more years minimum, it wouldn’t surprise me if by the time that ends there are hardly any casinos left for the UK online market.
