Happy Christmas all
So a few nights ago, a friend came over used my online account with his bank card. He managed to win a few hundred, they are now asking to see a photo of the card but in my name, will this invalidate any winnings?

25th December 2018 at 12:39 pm #31461Yup, chances are you won’t see that money again, even though what you did was perfectly legal, it also seems perfectly legal for them to take it and keep it. I have read numerous tales over time about it. Strange that a simple code check on name vs credit card detail would prevent it. Now why on earth wouldn’t they implement such a thing ?
25th December 2018 at 12:55 pm #31464From whats been posted before on this forum im under the impression they either have to pay the winnings or refund the deposits.
Like I said, Ive been in this situation before on Casumo when I deposited several hundred from my wifes card and hit a massive win, casumo werent happy about it and made me verify her details and then approved the withdrawal with the warning of not to do it again.
Its possible but like I said, dont hold your breath.
25th December 2018 at 1:08 pm #31466I think the overwhelming consensus is – it depends on the casino and how much it was, but you should always use your verified deposit method. If pushed enough they should pay the deposit back, but it’s a good lesson for everyone ? I hope you get it sorted.
25th December 2018 at 2:36 pm #31473my ex Mrs deposited on coral using my card and managed to get a massive hit, they where funny and we both had to provide photo id, verification photos and everything but she did get the money so there is hope unless it’s clearly stated in the t&c
worst case they’ll refund the deposit to the card I reckon
25th December 2018 at 9:26 pm #31508I was thinking about just photo shopping the name on the bank card… would this work.
25th December 2018 at 9:41 pm #31511how did you do the deposit? if you did it direct on the site they will have all the card information already, including the name registered on the card, if you make a false representation and put your name on the card, it could be considered fraud and could potentially mean closing of your account also
if you deposited on something like netteller or skrill you’d be in a better position
26th December 2018 at 11:46 am #31568So Jackpotjoy are refusing to pay the winning and to refund the deposits….. any advice would be most welcome?
26th December 2018 at 12:15 pm #31577The only advice really is to not use someone elses card – it’s pretty frowned upon by most casinos, next time just get the lad who’s card it is to open an account himself and then you know there is no chance of winnings being withheld
26th December 2018 at 12:36 pm #31587Just tell them you’ve lost the card and send them a pic of your “new” card.
26th December 2018 at 1:38 pm #31593Obviously lesson well and truly learnt. But surely any deposits made from this card should be returned back to the original cardholder, otherswise I lost both ways?
