Just seen the Bandits latest video when he did over £10k on Viking Megaways buying £1k bonuses. IMO this slot with a bit of perseverance could easily out pay reel king. On much smaller stakes over a sample size of around 200 bought bonuses I have had a 2000x,1500x and 1000x win.
At £1k stakes you prob need around £100k in to deal with the variance of the slot. When the megaways comes in combined with the mallets there is huge potential and it does happen quite a lot over a decent sample of bonus features. Out of all the Megaway slots, it’s probably the most high variance along with Extra Chilli.
Of course Reel King is the favoured slot because it has been so kind! Still great video and entertainment. It takes balls to play at those stakes.
24th March 2019 at 8:27 pm #57249It’s a blueprint so it’s predetermined and IMO will largely be restricted to barely ever paying out reel king money
24th March 2019 at 8:28 pm #57251Alas no gamble feature and seemingly a lot less chance that you will hit a 20-40K win, based on both my own and play I have seen. That means a 1k buy with a 2k win is great but nothing really.
24th March 2019 at 8:28 pm #57252It’s one of the only games I put on the ban list before I ever played it. With extra chili you at least reach a life line and it’s only 4 clicks that game is designed to rope you in and rinse you of your balance in the hope of a good start, and even then the bonus could pay shit.. I would have struggled unbelievably to leave if I was bandit there, probably would have eaten my whole balance
24th March 2019 at 8:34 pm #57255Extra chilli is miles worse, it can really rip a balance very quickly. The fruity lads did £3k in less than half an hour on extra chilli. With all of these slots you just need to money manage a bit, and hope you get lucky.
24th March 2019 at 8:35 pm #57256That’s one of my pet hates, people saying that it takes balls to play at those stakes.
As Bandit says, it’s within his limits so it’s just ordinary play, it’s like you or I gambling a £200 win. He has the funds so he bets big, it doesn’t take balls, just a realisation that the loss is acceptable and within his budget.
If Bill Gates put £10m on a horse to win no one would say he has balls – it’s all relative to your income
So glad he won though 🙂
124th March 2019 at 8:42 pm #57259To buy £1k bonuses on Vikings, I would want to be a multi millionaire for it not to hurt and therefore having balls wouldnt be an issue.
With regards to Gates, he’d probably pick the winner anyway with his sense of judgement.
24th March 2019 at 10:14 pm #57270Fucking bin it! how can a games provider, casino and all these fucking responsible gambling twat hats let this be a thing, its a double threat gamble! yeah potentials massive but most slots have that nowadays. One of them games that is clearly there to fucking scrape the barrel of , a. Stubborn bastards and b. Problem gamblers that game becomes acceptable if the bonus buy devil is just ripped of any access i cant believe how pissed off ive actually got from watching that ??? rant over flushed the toilet after just emptying my stomache of that spewshow!
25th March 2019 at 4:21 am #57321Wouldn’t it be better to go for max X10 multiplier start and lower spins maybe 15 it only takes 1 good win and it’s going bonkers . Seeing it can dead spin at any time it sees really tilting to try to go for max spins
25th March 2019 at 4:42 am #57324I would say it’s probably best to just not buy the bonuses full stop. Play the game as you would any other slot. If you do get the feature, then it’s exactly what it says on the tin, a bonus!
These bonus buys are a relatively new introduction to slots and I’m pretty sure they weren’t introduced for the benefit of the player. ?

Yep but all the time people feed it they will continue to be churned out. It’s mildly amusing that the responsible gambling people target the bookies (although I obviously good with that) for their £50 spins while allowing online casinos to offer £2000 spins.
Nothings going to change however apart from the fact that you will lose more as the RTP is being lessened to make up for the chancellors tax grab
I personally don’t see the attraction, although at Bandit level stakes I can imagine there is a bit of arse clenching going in half the fun in a slot is watching for the bonus to come in, and from what I have seen a lot of the outcomes are dogshit anyway
My recollection of days on slot machines are that £200 could last me a couple of hours if I was lucky, not sure I want to spunk that on a bonus buy that returns £7.50. When the fun stops……..10 seconds later, oh look it just stopped, I’ve got no money left 🙂
25th March 2019 at 5:26 am #57327@Dune2000, in that scenario for me at least, the fun never started. Absolutely fuckin bang on about the online casinos vs the bookies ie £2k for one bonus vs £50 big bets being reduced to £2. You know why don’t you ? Guy smashing up a bookie slot makes the local and national news and social media. Guy killing himself after a severe bad run or taking it out on his mrs is swept under the unheard of carpet.
Yes ma-lord, we regret to inform you that a huge percentage of monetary crime proceeds is happily taken to the bookies to fund gambling habits. We won’t allow the topic because the less people realise, the better. Controlled media and all that bollocks.
25th March 2019 at 5:48 am #57330in that scenario for me at least, the fun never started. The immediate reaction of our governments is to tax diseases, its an easy income stream. The only recent drugs aren’t taxed is it is considered a step too far.
I often wonder if the government would have been so quick to target the bookies if they hadn’t had the income stream from the tax on online casino’s to fall back on. This was the perfect opportunity for them to show a moral stance to the media, while on the other hand garnering more tax from misery via a different source.
This might sound downbeat,it’s not, there are plenty of people who enjoy gambling, gamble responsibly and have a great time with it. What I do find slightly irritating is the hypocrisy of the providers with their big signs saying when the fun stops, stop, gamble responsibly etc, whilst constantly seeking ways to encourage people to gamble irresponsibly. These bonus buys are an example of that.
Johnny spends hundred of pounds chasing a bonus on extra chilli over a couple of hours and can’t get one. So he goes for the bonus buy, Can’t believe it hasn’t come in, 15 bonus buys later it still hasn’t come in and he has lost more in 5 minutes than he lost in the previous 2 hours. 1-0 to the casino, customer care my arse 🙂
125th March 2019 at 10:36 am #57323Thats the thing you can start on 17 spins with 5x and still hit huge. You will get binned but you will also get to see a lot more bonus features. Going for max spins/max multiplier is pushing it and as we saw can be painful.
People put slots on banned lists without having a decent sample size of play, if its a high variance slot it could pay below rtp for thousands of spins and hundreds of buyins.
Its a bit like saying I am going to fold aces at poker next time I get dealt them, because they lost the last 10 times I git them in pre against an undercard or marginal hand.
