This is getting ridiculous. The forum should be for fun entertainment advice banter share experiences civil debates opinions and all i see are arguments.

I’m a relative newbie in posting terms on here and this post is correct. However, in my view, pretty much the sole reason for all the ill feeling recently is this guy’s attitude on virtually every thread. He’ll almost certainly come back with some sort of drivel about rules etc but remember, I have no agenda against anyone on here, I don’t know anyone personally. This is just how I see it.

Even the last line on his post above. No offence mate but the bandit really ain’t gonna be losing sleep about you not returning.You are the only one here that has issues with the moderation.

I can sympathise with Cs since I work in retail and often have to stand there and take shit from customers because an item is out of stock or the price has increased on an item (not my fault mate – nothing to do with me!) or because I’ve had to ID someone and they kick off because they don’t have the relevant ID.

When I had to wait 2 weeks to get Magic Mirror 2 fixed so i could complete the bonus, sure it was frustrating but not once did I direct my frustration to the Cs I was speaking with since I knew it wasn’t their fault and it would he a waste of time the only thing it would accomplish is making a guy/gals day worse when in reality they couldn’t do anything to help even if they wanted. (They was awaiting a response from the provider).

 

Do you get shit when a customer tries to come in when your closing? My missus works at the local shop/post office and it happens nearly everyday.

Oh christ, that’s one of my pet hates! It does happen nearly everyday! I’ve been reported to head office because I’d cashed up my till and someone was outside asking to be served smokes and I refused, I’ve had customers trying to reinact that scene from Indiana Jones where he slides under the door and just about manages to grab his hat before it slam shut that is to say many customers have tried to crawl under the shutter as its closing, so worth being crushed over getting a pack of L&B mate!

The problem is that many people have no clue about the job but just assume they know everything. For one I can’t serve alcohol after we shut as a premise licence dictates the times you are allowed to sell alcohol if I was to sell to these wankers who try to get in and get served after the shop has closed then I’d lose my job, receive a fine, the dps would lose her licence and I also have a personal licence that’s not in use but I’d lose that too and the store I work for would also lose its licence and ability to sell alcohol.

I can’t understand why anyone thinks it okay to abuse people at their work, I’m in a lucky position where I hold the cards at work, being self employed.

Seen it so many times when I have popped into a shop late for milk or something.   Some asshole screaming at the poor girl behind the counter because he can’t buy alcohol.   If the deadbeat is that desperate for a drink at half eleven at night that he has to take it out on a young girl the loser needs to save his money and pay for a taxi to alcoholics anonymous.

Personally I would issue all shop staff with a cattle prod that they could use on wankers like that

I used to work in a bar and can verify all the above. People get arsey at closing time! It’s easier being Male but when you have 2 or 3 18 year old girls on a bar… some of the shit that’s said is ridiculous.
