[Eightblack WANTED $446 Outlaw]

Alright guys, so I live in a fairly rough area and there’s lots of people about with issues who ill always try to help but recently there’s been two people and <span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>’m not sure what do to..</span>

The first and who I feel most sorry for is an old lady, she’s at least 70 has a full on beard and clear mental health problems and she comes and sits on the pavement outside my ground floor bedsit everyday i’ve been going out and chatting to her with glasses of water and she’s clearly suffering dementia or something so I’ve called 101 each time and they’ve taken her home but she keeps coming back, yesterday the police came too and today she cried about it.

 

The second dude is a traveller who can’t read or write who I met on community service, I’m not judgemental so I just quietly helped him read the sign posts and texts but now he’s outside knocking on my window asking me to read a text every few hours..

 

I don’t wanna seem like a heartless cunt but it’s getting beyond a joke, how can I let them know I’m not a go to without seeming like an asshole?

Just txt him , er no that’s not gonna work . Just tell him u will read them at a certain time at your convenience but just once a day .

Tough one mate. You may have to be politely cruel to be kind. May just have to be a gradual process and hope they get the message. Otherwise you may have to just say it straight. Sorry not much help.

Show him how to get Siri to read his texts to him or get him to copy and paste his texts into a text to speech software?

Only thing you can do mate to be fair is be straight with the traveller. Show him the text-to-speak options that are available on phones. Tell him your doing it so that he can read his messages without him needing to ask for help. Also tell him to go to his local library or college to see if they have any reading classes etc. That he could join

Does the dementia lady got any family that you or the old bill could try and get hold of? Maybe they don’t realise how bad she is. Other than that mate all you can do is keep ringing 101. Hopefully they will find some real help for her

I’ve shown him siri but he doesn’t quite get it and I think I’m his only mate so I don’t wanna be an asshole to him and fuck him off as he is a genuine guy,

the old lady has a son and gives his land-line number to everyone but it never picks up, I don’t mind having a chat with her and stuff but the place we live is not the place to be sitting alone as an old confused lady…

Hi Eightblack….. The best option is to ignore them when your buzy and too help when you have a spare 5 min… Don’t be going out your way though….. They will slowly realise that you do have a life & will slowly stop, alough the old lady probably won’t as that seems to be a issue for the authorities… Try to get her some help by phoning some places & interacting with the police.

Thats the problem with helping ppl,ive leant a few ppl money and now get endless texts/phone calls asking if i can lend more again..been going on for years lol,wish id never helped them in the first place…but the old lady i would still go out and chat and call 101 each time,if i am home and see her.

I meant to update this ages ago.

 

So about a week after this thread was made the old lady was sectioned or something I think as she was being picked up by ambulances in a confused state twice a day

 

The traveller guy problem sorted itself out a few days later. No joke he turned up on a horse and cart with his girlfriend and told me he was moving to a campsite in Somerset and Ive not heard from him since.. Probably not his smartest move though as now the police are now hunting him for skipping community service but to quote guy richies film snatch “you won’t find a pikey who doesn’t wanna be found” ?
