The OP has a real sense of self entitlement. He speaks about pride and reputation. When truth is he has none. He let his house go to bits has gambled everything away and yet has this sense of entitlement that someone should loan him money. Also the ref to “doleys” and “macdonalds workers” are particularly offensive. What is wrong with people earning a wage working at Macdonads/ ? Nothing I would say.
Yet the OP seems to think he is above such people. When the truth is he is a degenerate gambler who is on the bring of loosing everything and expects a free hand out. Not so much as a thank you to others who posted on this thread. And I guarantee if he did get a loan he would spunk it to a casino within a few days and he knows it.
His post was actually a begging post looking for a loop hole or some one to bail him out. But he is waster a degen gambler who is both selfish and blind to his addiction. Such people will never kick the addiction ever. Selfish conceited man who deserves everything that is happening to him now.
Idiot scum!
3113th February 2020 at 9:51 pm #90951Oh poor poor Lanny. You misguided gaslit fool. Do you also think that the world is flat? Do you think that Meghan Merkel has pussy whipped Harry? That brexit is a good idea? That the Holocaust didn’t happen?
People like you are the biggest sheep.
Wait, wait, wait… Are you really saying that the earth isn’t flat???? Omg, my life is ruined!!! :((

That’s why I waited before passing judgement. Guy joined around the time of the giveaway, never posts, then clearly wants a handout.

The problem with ignoring debts, or indeed charities like stepchange etc. is that the debts i have are debts I have convinced other people to take out in my behalf, so they can not be ignored or I can’t talk to the creditors, this is affecting my family if I don’t pay.
Remortgaging sounds a good idea in theory but in practice I don’t know how practical it is, and seems unlikely anyone would entertain giving me a remortgage. My mortgage company no longer exist and serve only to reclaim the existing money they are due, so they can’t offer new deals or anything. My house is an absolute shit hole there have been floods and all sorts of things and I’ve never had the money to get this repaired.
The main reason most of my debt happened, other than gambling which was just insanity after the fact, was the fact that when my debts were more managable I was never given the opportunity everyone else gets to consolidate debt, so the monthly repayments were impossible to meet, meaning things got missed and other money had to be borrowed. It would have made far more sense to stretch this out, it’s 10 years since I went red in the face trying to get a consolidation loan to sort this out, that would have been paid off 5 years ago and I could have had 5 years luxury. This is why my fucked up brain always reverts to gambling. The only time the banks have ever treated me with respect was when I once came in with a £50,000 deposit. I bought my house and got debt repaid and the banks couldn’t stop offering me shit I didn’t need like credit cards and loans. I took the credit card only because I did think it would be handy to have, and also its good for work where you spend then claim back the following month. Having moved house my commuting expenses went up considerably, I lost my driving license and had to start spending £20 a day on public transport instead of £30 a week on petrol, and I changed job because I wanted to better myself, but due to lack of any qualifications (I only ever got my standard grades) I also took a cut in pay. I went from earning £25 to £22k and the credit card started getting used more and more for things like transport and other bills/food when money was tight. My kids also got an age where they need money spent on them, they grow out of clothes at an extraordinary rate, there’s peer pressure to keep up with not looking like a total mink…thankfully my kids were never the type who wanted £100 trainers etc. but life just seemed to get very expensive for a while, my old man passed away and probably due to depression I discovered gambling as I had enjoyed winning 50k before. Poker at first, where I blew the rest of my credit card before learning how to play. When I finally started going to the casino to play I stayed away from the gambling because it was for mugs, and I used to laugh at the morons who would pump their money into the slots… this is when I first told the bank I am in a bit of trouble and need help to get things sorted and get a bit of breathing space. I spent a week at work working on a financial breakdown and 5 year plan/summary showing various scenarios of what would happen in different situations etc. but they didn’t give a shit. I decided to change bank and could only get a very basic account, no overdraft. Unbeknown to myself, my bank account I left went £1 overdraw, which at the end of the month meant a £180 charge (they used to charge £6 a day with no cap) this happened for a few months and I got a letter from a finance company telling me I was due that bank over £1500……fuck off was my response, I had offered them a solution that would have seen us both winners. I decided at that time that fuck paying back the credit card with them aswell. This was 2009. I figured if 6 years run up I won’t have to pay it back.
Jump forward a few years and my company I worked for lost our contract and due to legal reasons, in orderto keep employed I had to transfer to an Indian company, with my current pay protected. They used that to their advantage and in 5 years never gave me a payrise, while all the time the debt was building up and I was getting desperate and in full on degen mode now. I had discovered the bookies and FOBT’s while waiting for a bus one night (there’s no bookies in the village I live in, so I blame not having a fucking car for this horrendous addiction). All my money got haemorrhaged here as I had simply lost the plot.
Eventually I got myself a new job and managed to double my salary, and thought this would get better, I reapplied for loans to try and sort everything out and get us back on track, it never happened. Around this time, my credit card was almost 6 years old, and they hit me with a CCJ at the final hour, so that’s another 6 years of fucked credit. My new job was demanding, a lot of travelling and stuff, a lot of needing money to book hotels and flights and taxis and shit, of course you could claim this money back but without having it in the first place, I was stuck with payday lenders and getting into spirals where its borrowing your entire months wage each month because you have to pay off an entire months wage. Absolute nonsense. And still the banks say retarded shit like “…oh giving you more debt wouldn’t help” Do they honestly think I want more debt so I can piss it up the wall and have to pay even more money a month?!?! I had a bit of a break earlier last year and scooped £10k online, this cleared a credit card, paid back some loans and I even had £1000 left to spend, which got hammered back online….I have let this blind me and I’ve now probably lost £15k trying to win back that £10k….its utter nonsense.
I have been suicidal many times after leaving the casino but I don’t even feel like that anymore after getting fucked with antidepressants and losing all grip on reality, it doesn’t even hurt to lose money anymore. Its dangerous and this is why way back when I had devised a plan to engineer my finances in a way where I have no access to any money until all bills are paid first and substantial amount of savings made. If these fuckers could just give me a loan and set a precedent for people in my situation I could prove that it’s possible. Afterall, the bank are the biggest gamblers, and we (ie. government money made from tax) bailed them out to a tune of 46.5 BILLION gbp, which they expect they will never repay. Of course when governments get low on money they just devalue it and call it “inflation”….and everyone suffers as a result. But people accept that, they don’t accept an individual who fucked up doing the exact same bankers do…..
Oh well…rant over…
Oh yeah…I still have a family, but no they do NOT love me…in fact my kids now hate my fucking guts. If I thought killing myself would see an outpouring of generosity based donations to my family I would do it in a second, but I know nobody cares about normal people.

I joined around the time of the giveaway because, as I am on gamstop for 5 years, theres not much point in me signing up to join in the other giveaways is there or for any sign up bonuses. I also have no interest in sharing about my latest gambling losses, because I have won SFA.
If you could read you would have noticed the very first thing I wrote was “not a begging thread”…but anyway. The only reason I posted was because I don’t know anyone who gambles so figured someone here might have been in my situation in the past, and might have even found a way out that works. Or does everyone just win win win?! How do these casinos ever make money….
If there wasn’t a 5 year delay between me pressing “Submit Reply” and my message showing up here I might have been able to reply to people a bit sooner.
