Okay so Ive been wondering lately about @TheBandit gambling history, we all know of his epic runs on reel king and swarm in the past 12 months but what I want to know is how did it all start for you?
Most people, including myself do small weekly deposits and hope for a big win to tie us over, some people can control this and some cant.
Were you always a degenerate with large deposits and crazy bet sizes? Did you start small and build a gambling bankroll?
Would love to hear how you got to the position your in today!
12th January 2019 at 10:00 am #36944Ok, i will try and give a brief, ha, i say brief, history of my gambling life. When i say i could write an awesome book – i mean it haha
At the age of 12 me and my mate used to go to the local pub as we were both pretty intelligent in school and they had a quiz night which you could win big money at and we fancied our chances. £1 to enter the jackpot round, 5 questions and you had to get them all right. Usually no one won and it was a rollover because the questions were silly hard.
Well one week, we got all 5 of them right but what is this sorcery, another team also managed the same so there had to be a tie breaker – a spoken tie breaker and first answer wins – “What is the capital of Somalia?” came the question and in stereo sound almost, we both answered “Mogadishu” ooOOOOoosh we won and pretty much there is where the gambling properly began. Prior to that i had played games in arcades on family holidays etc but nothing like that buzz haha
That very night i played the fruit machine in there, a £5 jackpot machine, i lost all the money in it and then every time the quiz was on, pretty much did the same thing, once or twice every 2 months i would maybe win a few quid but it was usually a “lose all my money” scenario lol
The years that followed saw me gamble on things that became available to me at certain ages, lottery and scratchcards at 16, the arcade over 18 area at 18 and then the casinos, i just used to spend all my money on gambling. I fucked up several jobs by stealing to fund my habit, i’d never pay my rent – i was moved out of my parental home at 16 to a bedsit, £38 a week it was and i even fucked that up because of the gambling.
Fast forward now to when my first son as born, still gambling but had made a lot of money from gambling in certain areas like matched betting, some trading, a twist on sports affiliation but again, had seen very big balances come and go down to simply a huge lack of discipline and an insatiable “must gamble all money” appetite but it was about to change, dramatically.
I went on holiday with the wife and the lad, 3 months old he is at this stage and it is 2010. I’m where i always am, in the arcade, in the over 18’s bit doing my bollocks in only this time, it was like robbery. I managed to put £650 in to a £70 jackpot machine without a jackpot and spent the rest of the holiday a bit miserable as we were down to the bare bones. When i got home, i decided to dig a bit to see if i could find out what had gone on there because that just isn’t right, was the machine broken? Anyway, my investigations led me to forums and led me to post asking about my experience, i was mocked quite a lot at first but then the private messages started to come, people offering to sell me the “method” for that specific machine, the price got lower and lower after having started at £1,500 until eventually, one lad offered it for free and emailed me it. The biggest light bulb moment of my life occurred right there – these machines can be learnt, their programs can be closely examined for holes, set ways of playing set machines can be discovered and bang i was away, looking at this that and everything and soon i was working out my own ways to play and i never looked back. I ended the first year of “knowledge” shall we call it having won £86k on pub fruit machines. I had fixed that area of my play, i no longer did all my money in, i payed smart and i took them to the cleaners and continue to do so to this very day. I lost £72,000 of that money i that first year in the bookies on roulette, i wrote every session down and read it after the 365th day and that cured me pretty much of that too.
I buy the fruit machines in to the house now to work on them and the way my brain is and the way i am means i absolutely pull the fucker apart and try this that and everything and i have worked out some very successful, very lucrative methods over the years that has enabled me to venture in to the trading of sporting events that i have mentioned from time to time where i can stake upwards of 6 figures if certain scenarios play out, in comparison to my trading, every slot stake i play is small. People often throw back to when i started and i was playing 40p and 60p and accuse me of having no money then and only being able to play big now because of affiliation – complete rubbish, back when i popped on the scene there were hardly any people playing, you had Nick on 60p, Kim on 10sek perhaps, it was just what was around at the time so that is where i pitched myself. It was going to take time to see whether a) people liked to watch what i did and b) the level at which they would like to see that – i’d gambled online before plenty but only on 2 games, Bruce Lee and Raging Rhino at various stakes but up to £9 odd a spin, the smaller stake at the beginning of the channel meant i could play all the other games and find out what was happening on them, whether they were any good etc and it hopefully wouldn’t cost the Earth.
Well, about 3 months in and a serious lack of wins, i was £24k down on my channel – a big expense that had started to take money away from other areas which i didn’t want to do, i was playing more because i was quite addicted to the positive comments from people, i loved that people loved the videos so i was doing loads of them but that hole had to be plugged, i had dabbled in affiliation before so knew there was the possibility so i joined Casumo affiliates and Bet Victor affiliates and it went from there with that. Once i started to earn a bit from them i turned to the giveaways and i dont care what anyone says, i genuinely started the giveaways to give something back to those that had chosen to support me, the thought ooOOoOoohh these giveaways will draw them all in hadn’t crossed my mind until some troll piped up with it so yeah, that was a bit annoying but no way was i going to let that take them away, people loved the fact i gave back and i give a fuck load back still to this day.
The evolution of the channel and the stakes is largely based on what happens across the scene, if people are raising their stakes, 60p becomes 80p, 80p becomes £1.20 and so on, you kind of have to go there or you’ll just get left behind and not watched anymore but for me, my stake raise came about because of a genuine hit – November 1st 2016, i raised to £1.80 stake for the first time on my channel – Game of Thrones i was playing and it rolled in a full screen of wilds bar 2 positions and both those position were Aces, it paid £3,726 and from that point, my stake never went below that again, the odd £1.50 if the options were £1.50 or £3 but that was the lowest then because when you hit on that stake, wow, you hit. My average stake isn’t really much above that £1.80 mark to this day, perhaps in the £2.50 area now.
There are loads of bits i have skipped or i would be here all day writing lol I have always gambled though, i am a gambler, it isn’t business to me. If affiliation was banned tomorrow, you would still see me, i’m not sure how many of the others would still be around though. I can think of a few.

12th January 2019 at 10:33 am #36964Awesome read bandit
I enjoy the small stake deposit (say £80) and trying to build it up over a period of 30-40 bets, last month I was doing so well, got it up to a high of £750 by playing it tight and trading on the footie…. didn’t last long though as once I had “the balance” I started getting to loose with it and betting on stupid scenarios like backing teams to come from 2-0 down LOL, its amazing even at “cheeky tenners and twenty’s” how quickly a balance drops. I withdrew the remaining 350 and have started it again at £80, seem to be more sensible with a small balance, its now back up £205 lol.
We can learn a lot reading that imo, it proves we can go from being brainless to finding that “lightbulb” moment
12th January 2019 at 10:36 am #36966I like Bandit’s story but in all honestly it just proves to me what a mug I’ve been.
I’d class myself as above average on Sports Betting, what with almost 30 years of experience but it’s the fecking discipline I lack. Work really hard to make £25.00 into £100.00 and then spoosh all that hard work chasing a slot.

Its defiantly the discipline that kills a gambler
Being at £750 and then down to £500 isn’t really a body blow but it feels like it, start chasing to get it back to that high point instead of just staying patient.
12th January 2019 at 10:44 am #36972As for the slots I’ve had to self exclude from various sites in the past, I did a grand in one week playing them and could feel myself going so I decided to self exclude from all 3 sites I played at for 6 months.
It stung but I would have blown the sodding lot in the savings account if I stayed on
12th January 2019 at 10:53 am #36974It’s a sign of how degenerate I am that I can’t bring myself to self-exclude, yet.
Thing is, when I don’t have my boy I love coming home from work on a Friday, having a decent meal, rolling one spliff and opening one bottle of wine and playing low stake slots for the evening, whilst keeping an eye on the Rugby scores.
£1300 down on Bet Victor, £200 up on Videoslots, £300 up on Redbet and £400 down on Bet365 in 2018, so whilst not great I’m gambling what I can afford but I could have easily paid for the holiday me and the boy went on last year with just a touch more discipline.
12th January 2019 at 10:59 am #36976This is exactly the response I was looking for! It also proves to everyone you’re no mug (anymore) when it comes to gambling and youve turned it into something lucrative for you!
Well played my man. Maybe as this thread grows you can share some little anecdotes with us also?

Thing is I don’t think you can copy what Bandits done, its been through his own experiences that have helped him to learn imo
Things happen for a reason and each of those losses made him look for answers. You can take what he offers on board but I don’t think you truly emulate what he’s done. I’ve always thought he might have been alone for a while which might have helped him? no friends or family etc so he used gambling as a way of keeping himself busy, but that sounds not right because he’s married with a kid in 2010, although could have been before that where he started to make breakthroughs.
12th January 2019 at 11:53 am #36995Great read mate. So after all this are you now a millionaire ?? Not that it makes a difference to us all..
Anyway since you are massively up in the last week alone,, any chance of a high stake video.? £10/£20 spins the last was great fun.
I know it’s a bit irresponsible but it’s good fun to watch

A millionaire, i wish lol
I have earned a lot of money over the years but it is incredibly hard to save. You live to your means well that is what i find happening, i wrote our household expenditure down one month just to illustrate to the wife that whilst i had made £7,000 that particular month i had bet with her that there wasn’t much left after the months spends and the total was nearly £6k.
As a child, i didn’t really have much, it didn’t particularly bother me because i was very sporty as a child so always played out with friends playing football or bike rides, running or playing golf or some other activity but now i have kids of my own, i really want to give them all they want and that doesn’t come cheap, times have changed and “playing out” doesn’t really happen that much anymore it seems!
With a history of gambling and having “no job” as far as places like banks are concerned, the prospect of a mortgage was non existent, the only way i could get myself a house was to save for it and buy it outright but with this whole spending what you earn problem we always seemed to find was stopping me moving forward saving wise. These last 7/8 months and the wins between Swarm and Reel King have boosted me so much i have been able to achieve my long term goal, i now have the house and fuck me, i’m proud as fuck about that. I have tried to show how i achieved it with the Reel King thread – I can only document what happens so the shit that i get back for that i think is unjustified – i tell it how it is and that is how it is at the moment.
I paid outright over £380k for the house we now live in including the land tax and fees etc, that is money i cannot give back to the casino so i think it is the best move i could possibly have made – as i have said before, i have won in excess of £400k from Reel King alone in the last 7/8 months and then you have the Swarm winnings which have reached a figure of £99k, when you know these figures i am hoping it puts in to perspective a little more as to why i have a ceiling of a £40,000 deposit position currently on Reel King, it is less than 10% of what i have won on the game and the way i play it, the way i push it, is the sole reason i have reached figures like that in the first place. Those people worrying that perhaps i will do my bollocks in on it grand scale needn’t worry simply because i cannot deposit bricks and mortar in to the online casino.
It has also been thrown back at me that i am rubbing peoples faces in it – absolutely not the intention at all, 99% of people want to hear what has happened, how much i have won, how much i have lost, what i spent the money on etc so i will continue to tell these stories, it is a gambling forum after all, if you have come here and expect not to see any stories about someone having a win or a series of wins even, then you are in the wrong place.
Such is the run on Reel King from the last 2 weeks, it has brought in to play my next target, to replace my wifes 2012 Ford Mondeo…. which incidentally, when i bought it at a cost of £16,800 5 years ago i was just as fucking proud of myself lol but she wants a new one now, not a brand new car but just something that is newer, 2018 reg probably and she is looking at a Jaguar F Pace – that may sound luxurious to some, but why not use the fat mans wedge and get some more awesome assets! I am trying to be as responsible as possible with the winnings, surely investing them in this way is only a good example.
As for a high stakes vid, yeah i am sure i will put one together soon, they do tend to bring out the nasty people with their sly digs though, affiliation this affiliation that, the day everyone actually understands what affiliation is is a great day for me, so much misconception around about it, if it is so damn lucrative and easy, why is anyone unemployed, absolutely everyone should be doing it if it is that good and simple right?, you can click at the bottom of any online casino and become an affiliate, it is nothing special. I remember there was a lad that was giving me so much shit about it and he set out to prove it – he became an affiliate and got some sign ups so he could expose us all and what happened? He realised it wasn’t the bed of roses a lot of people think it is and apologised to us all, after having gained actual real factual experience of the payments and how it all worked. It’s never enough to shut them all up though lol

Tbh in my life, i have never really had an “alone” period, i am quite a funny fucker in the flesh so friends usually stick around and we all have a laugh, there have been times when i have moved around so much that you don’t really get a proper circle of friends, job hopping, address changing every 6 months etc but even then, i still had my core group so always had people to knock about with.
They’d usually always know where to find me…. on the bandit haha
