3rd January 2019 at 2:44 am #33862So if I understand this post correctly, no offence matey. You placed a bet for £1.25 at 10/1 and the cashier made a massive mistake and paid you £1250? I probably would have said something myself as I would feel terrible if she lost her job over such a mistake or if it came out of her wages but at the same time she should be double checking if she is paying out such a large amount. I only really use online casino’s myself and if I’m ever in a bookies I’ll play the FOBT’s but wouldn’t you have a betting slip of some sort for her to check? Have you seen her in there recently? I certainly wouldn’t feel bad for Ladbrokes though, fuck the FOBT’s!

3rd January 2019 at 3:15 am #33871About 15 year ago William hill over paid me by about 20 pound . And they must have realised at the end off the day when they cashed up . And they hounded me for that money . Barred me till I gave it them back , there was a pub next door they even come in there saying if I didn’t give it back she would lose her job . I gave it back in the end . Still remember the name off the horse . Shadoof?
3rd January 2019 at 5:16 am #33882Got three for you on this subject. Filled up with petrol at Sainsbury’s some years ago and went to pay. Was asked for £25 instead of the £60 I had spent. Thought nothing of it but realisation dawned as I was sat at some traffic lights that I had paid for another pumps lower value. Wrestled with it for a while and then did a u turn. Battled through 20 mins of traffic and roadworks, walked into the kiosk and said I owe you this £35 as you charged me incorrectly a while ago and they took it looking at me as if I was mad.
Had one of those days in William Hill. Got a complete Trixie up, then took a grand out of the FOBT on roulette for a total of £2700. Insisted I get paid in cash cos who wants to wait three days for it to hit your account and walked down to Barclays. Hills had passed me two counterfeit £20’s which were taken off me and deducted from my deposit- you guessed it – Hills were’nt interested and of course could do nothing even if they were – had to take it in on the chin and obviously could afford to to – but what if my win had been £80 with two dodgy notes!?!
Finally, went to Newbury races with my mate and went to the running rail/winning post to see the horses cross the line – another loser. Turned around and there was a wallet on the ground. £100 cash inside and a winning betting slip worth £50. My mate said silly sods fault for dropping it, let’s divvy up and I said no, if this was my wallet then dropping it would ruin a great day – had Newbury put out an announcement and reunited the wallet with its utter piss head of an owner who a. Didn’t seem that bothered and b. Didn’t even buy us a drink. You can imagine what my friend was saying to me. Honestly should pay but doesn’t always – I just had to content myself with the fact that I’d done the right thing!
3rd January 2019 at 9:10 am #33884I went into a bookies, won 1200 quid and asked them to give me a grand on my card and £200 in cash, the guy put £1200 on my card and gave me £200 in cash – didn’t even look at slip, just signed it
Got home, realised what the lad had done and drove back to give it back as I figured he would be in the crap
He was very grateful which was nice, on the downside I went back on the FOBT and lost the grand I had just won 🙂
