Having been on Countdown back in the day, I can honestly say that as ‘nice’ as Rachel is, she is nothing on Carol Vorderman. Quite simply, the most stunning woman I ever saw in the flesh.

I used to work at LWT/London studios as a youngster, so met a fair few tv celebs during the course of my work as a porter. 99% of them were great, they were at work, and so were you, one big happy family. However, one day I was delivering a package to someone who worked on the 4th floor, which was the GMTV workers floor. As I got out the lift, Eamonn Holmes was there, so I politely asked if he knew where the person I was delivering to sat. He literally looked at me like a bit of dirt, and said ” Do I look like a fucking tour guide” I thought he was joking, but he really wasnt. Ignorant ****. Hated him ever since.

Using algebra and triangulation to calculate the dimensions of the bottle/coins, I can tell you there are 1854 in there 🙂

I have not played a FOBT for about 3 years or more. When the government started taking a ‘tax’ on them, I stopped on the basis that in my mind, the bookies would simply cover their cost by lowering the payouts. I could be wrong in my thinking, but it kept me off them!!

As for the £2 cap, as others have suggested there will be loopholes probably to allow ‘winnings’ to be gambled in some way on roulette to increase the stake. But with the slots paying very low percentages already, if people were to switch and play slots instead, would the bookies loss of revenue actually be as much as they say without roulette?

    Hey Mr bandit,

Can I also suggest a smaller charity? It is called ‘contact a family’ and my local one has been extremely helpful the past few years finding events and things to do that are suitable for or especially for autistic/disabled children. My son is autistic and we have found them invaluable . Im sure they have bases in many cities in the UK, I’m sure one local to you would appreciate a donation no matter how small.

I know it has been said countless times in other threads, but EVERY casino should make players verify BEFORE depositing. Once verified, unless you break terms, then you will get your money. Casinos taking money, and then finding problems is bullshit. I am a gambler, who recently closed my accounts used for slotting. I could easily open up new ones at hundrreds of casinos, but I wont, as I have no ID. It’s a good deterrent. I dont have sympathy for those that deposit and cannot then verify, but still, casino’s should not take advantage of that,

I do lucky 15’s on horses. but only if prices are ok. Unless you doing draws/outsiders lucky 15’s/31’s etc are not worth it on football bets  Or for that matter very short priced horses. You could have 3 winners and not get your money back, which seems a bit pointless. If I want to try and ‘cover’ myself, much better to do, say, from 5 selections, do 5 fourfolds and an acca. But generally with football its all or nothing!!

I think thats why I played them for so long, its (or was) my go to thing to unwind after work and sorting the kids out. A couple of hours a night of ‘my time’. Have to find something else to  fill the void…I see Only Fools And Horses still on UK Gold 🙂

Always been low stake, not about the money, about the enjoyment. And that has gone. Finally someone who reads my name for what it is, as I used to constantly grind poker on the penny tables lol. Most people think it is a play on words as when said quick sounds like one piss taker

    Bit of both for me.

Fun: I play low stakes, try to make the deposits last, and have a plan to withdraw at certain points should I reach targets.

Addiction: If funds allow, I will play almost every day. If time allows, I will have a bet every day. Its only work/deposit limits that keeps me in check. It took long enough for me to realise my problem, fingers crossed I do have it under control, but I am and always will be, an addict

So Mr Bandit, you owe me £4 🙂  I will leave it be for a little while, let the interest accrue on your debt a bit…lets say this time next year you send me £2000??

Seriously, dont worry about it, appreciate the offer to pay it back. If you are able to do anything about the charges though, that would be enough of a result.

It has always intrigued me the type of person who can afford to put literally thousands into these at a time. I can only begin to imagine where they got the money from.

I dont think people will move from FOBT’s to online. There will be those that do both anyway, and those who play only FOBT’s, as said above, are looking for that quick cash flow. They wont have the patience to sit and wait for it to go in their bank. They will likely just start betting big on horses and dogs. Which really, if that was to happen, would mean the bookies taking pretty much the same money anyway, so the FOBT’s cap wont cost them that much.

Personally I would take it to 20p, let it pop and then never play the game again.

Everyone seems to think this is a game to print money with. For all Bandits big wins, there has to be losers elsewhere.

For me it is a game I will never play as I know what you ‘supposed’ to do, but I could never afford to do it though.
