Hi folks-just like to tell my degenerate gambling story,on the off chance it helps someone else
I live in Deeside,North Wales and have gambled since the age of 14…I’m now 48.
I was unlucky to be just at the right/wrong age when internet gambling kicked off….and after reading Supersystem by Doyle Brunson,thought I could play poker…..Ended up £69000 in debt??♂️
1 marriage,1 DMP & 3 years st G.A. later…..I cracked and deposited £150 at Casumo
Bonanza bonus hits after £50,pays 1100x….happy days
Plod in using my new Bonanza system and hit 869x at £10 stake…..FUCKIN YEEEES!!..Made for life,never had that much money before
Last 3 months….Lost every penny of the £8.7K…….but nothing more….I know when I need to pay bills etc
Conclusion-No idea??♂️
How can you get a bank balance up to £9K…..lose it all ,and then stop.
Am I compulsive or just shit at gambling??
Look at it froma different view point mate. You only lost the profits in your last session and were strong enough to not spunk your bill money etc.
It happens, but to an extent you where sensible. Don’t be tempted to go chasing.
On a different note, Supersystem is a good book, Ive read it a couple of times but the poker circuit has got a lot harder these days. Don’t forget the first WSOP only had one table lol
1I have a quick question vape related if the vapours out there may be able to help me with. I understand that it is supposed to be healthier or whatever than actually smoking but are you not just swapping 1 for the other? I thought they were meant to help stop smoking however i know a fair few people who have been on them since well when they came out. Like you said you have been on them for years do you intend to stop or is it merely a replacement?
I smoked from the age of 14 till i was about 39…by that point i was coughing up crap on a daily bases,ive now been vaping for for close to 4 years and have not coughed up any gunk since vaping,so although yes i am still addicted to nicotine i know by the way my body now acts its atleast dping nothing like the dmg smoking was.
Almost same as me mate. I think between the ages of 14 to 38 and I’m 4 years stopped in June. I just wonder where the money went I’m supposed to save. Yeah right it just goes on something else. What I mean by that I think the missus spending seemed to conveniently increase round the time I stopped. Coincidence I wonder lol.

Its the same argument I have with Mrs W about the bathroom. Who needs 20 different kinds of cosmetics. All i need is my shower gel and a rubber duck. But she needs special creams for this, lotion for that etc. Does my tits in hahaha

I had one of the F coils in the box with the falcon – binned it after about 2 minutes. Vape was really hot even on low wattages and the taste was shit. Though i had mixed a bad batch of eliquid until i swapped out for the M1. Never looked back but use M2’s now as seam a bit better on the flavour (but only marginally).
I like the fireluke mesh and coil life is good, only issue is even with the glass extenstion it only holds 4ml so no good for when im on the road
A topic I’m very familiar with as I currently manage 4 different vape shops

aegis legend with a dead rabbit RDTA
aegis mini with a Clieto pro mesh tank
snowwolf x-feng with the bravo RDTA
and loads of others hahaha

Majestic, whats your take on the new triple mesh coils for the falcon tank. Not tried them yet as currently have about 15 m2 coils in my home office but really tempted by them.

A tiny bit of history : When the PDSA was set up, the less generous qualified vets tried to f*ck it up and close it down. 100 years ago.
I’m starting to class vets in the same category as lawyers and estate agents, you just automatically accept that what they say is the truth and that you should heed their advice. Vets know that your going to find the dough somehow, even if it put’s you up shit creek.
When Macey had issues with her skin flaking the cunts wanted £850 to do a skin scrapping. I went through the staffie forums and told the vet to check for Demodex as it doesnt require a scrapping and takes about 30 seconds to confirm. Vet was a twat and said its not Demodex. A heated discussion started and the vet relented. Turned out it was Demodex – £49 for a 6 month treatment.
The irony is that the skin scrapping wouldnt have even checked for Demodex. The vet was told I wouldnt be using him again.

I do watch some of his videos – he must have a serious bankroll as he does take some horrendous hits. He did do some online streaming but not really his thing (plus he did have a game on £50 stakes once instead of £2). Will be interesting to see what happens to his channel when the new restrictions come in; I know he plays a lot of FOBT slots but a lot of his subscribers like the roulette sessions – once thats gone he will need to change his format or loose viewers.
Hehe, You ever watch those TV programmes where their interviewing married couples and they say “we’ve been married 50 years and never had a cross word with each other”, I usually shout at the telly “You couldn’t have spoke to each other in 50 fucking years”, its women for you fella, moaning is in their D.N.A.
I’ve watched Stop and Step a handful of times at best, usually just watch the bandit and rocknrolla occasionally. Got to give the guy his due though it’s a highly polished video he produces albeit a bit daft with the cartoon thingies, he even sells tshirts and mugs on his channel. Think the bandits missing out on a merchandise opportunity lol.
My favourite one is “never go to bed on an argument” so I usually go upstairs and tell the Mrs she can sleep on the couch until she is ready to apologize. Record is 3 days.
When resident evil 2 remake comes out I will engineer an argument so its my turn on the couch. I wont apologise until ive completed the game.
@Haz I had a conversation with the Mrs last week. She said look at all the money you have saved – over 3k. I asked her to point out one fucking thing that I have that I didnt have last year. After about 5 minutes of thinking we could find anything we had spent the money on, but its not in savings so it must have gone on something lol
1I vape an Aspire cleito 120 with mesh coils now,best flavour from a tank i have found so far…i vape Grants vanilla custard flavour.
The mesh coils are an absolute game changer. I have the wood pulp mesh in my falcon and it tastes so much better than running it through a Kanthal coil

I also find that I dont have a bad chest in the morning when I first wake up; the Mrs finds it better to as I dont crawl into bed stinking of cigs.
1I really cant get over the fact that someone compared The Bandit and Reel King to the leader of the Third Reich. Its nuts how some peoples minds work.
I have never heard The Bandit ever say “if you are on a loosing session, try and top Reel King”, in fact his advice is the opposite and he constantly tells people “only spend what you can afford to lose” or “consider any money you deposit gone before you start”. Cant really get much better advice than that.
You will always find the haters in life. You can gaurantee that if you did a giveaway where you gave people £10,000 in £50 notes, someone would be a dick and ask for £20’s just to get the attention and start a bit of back lash. When you read through this thread, most people on it are genuine and interested in how the Reel King journey is progressing; keep it up mate and get that second house!
There are some topics on the board that I dont get involved with because I either don’t understand it or dont agree/want to get involved. Need to now go through my history books and think of dictators to compare the thread starters to ?

1I just wanted one that tasted like a cig so mines tobacco flavour. Didn’t fancy all these fruity flavoured ones as I thought well I never smoked a strawberry or blueberry before so wanted something closest to a cig as possible. Not even had one drag since vaping.
A fella in our local bike club once said it was very strange to walk past a pub and see a group of big scary bikers, but then smell strawberry and other fruits as everyone was vaping 🙂

Believe it or not they where actually patented and designed in the 1960’s but the idea was shelved and never took off. Fast forward a few years and they are all the range. They where originally intended to help you quit; you still had the feeling of something in your hand (like the nicorette pens) but also produced clouds to simulate smoking.
They proved very popular though and before long people realised you could mix all different flavours and they became popular. THe government missed the boat so couldnt tax them and then tried to clamp down on it with the TPD laws.
I make my own juice at home, all different fruity flavours and have no intention of stopping. I actually kept a running cost sheet last year and my total spend on vaping was just under £500 for mods/tanks and juice – compared to over £3.5k on cigs.
