Im the same mate – on the 3mg myself now but used to be a lot higher. Only on 3 as I use sub-ohm tanks so anything stronger than 3mg makes me cough my ring up lol

I originally started it to stop smoking and the mrs was 100% behind my vaping. Now she hates it as I have gone from a small pen like device to ones that give off mass amounts of vapour. She wants me to give this up now but ive said only if its a fair trade. I will stop vaping if you stop nagging. She didnt take the deal.

Alright laaaaa 🙂 the Mrs is in one of her nagging moods again (like most days).

I do watch some of his videos – he must have a serious bankroll as he does take some horrendous hits. He did do some online streaming but not really his thing (plus he did have a game on £50 stakes once instead of £2). Will be interesting to see what happens to his channel when the new restrictions come in; I know he plays a lot of FOBT slots but a lot of his subscribers like the roulette sessions – once thats gone he will need to change his format or loose viewers.

@AceHigh – I agree with most of what you say but it will be interesting to see how many people actually end up online as apposed to the FOBT. When the FOBT’s first came out, mobile phones where not like they are today so it was not as easy to play slots/casino on the go etc.

I think the main attraction of the FOBT is the ease in which it can be hidden from the Mrs/Home life etc. “Just nipping the bookies love, back in a bit” and very easily do your bollocks in on the FOBT when placing a normal bet (done it myself a few times).

Online gambling is now under a lot more stricter regulations (we know from the forums how hard it is for some people to get verified and have their money paid out due to verification etc.); FOBT’s are a little different as it is cash or load up from card, but they are a lot more lax in the bookies over whose card is being used. As long as the pin is right, in my experiences they tend not to give a shit.

The bookies will survive the FOBT’s being reduced, they just wont keep as many shops open. I work from home and go all over the country,  but my main work office is Manchester. Between my office and the Arndale shopping centre (about a 5 minute walk) there must be over 8 bookies, some of them the same company but having multiple shops. There is no way they will keep multiple shops open when the new imits come into force.

I also agree that the bookies will get around the limits, but I dont think that you will be able to stake £100 every 30 seconds on slots like you can with roulette; the slots do not appeal to everyone anyway and I know a few people who have said they will just play at the casinos instead as they are only interested in playing roulette on the FOBT’s and nothing else.

I dont think that overall the online casinos will be to happy either as their tax threshold is changing (which we all know they can comfortably afford) but this may impact the kinds of deposit bonuses we see. I would think that we will see a massive increase in bonus being offered for new sign ups just after the new limits come in, but established members will see their bonus offers reduced to balance this out

No matter what happens, the next couple of months will be interesting for the gambling community.

The sooner they come in the better. These machines are magical. I keep my cool all the time when playing poker/blackjack and play what I feel is a near perfect strategy that has been very profitable for me over the last few years. But those fucking fobt’s have nearly killed me in the past. There’s just something about them and the amount of times I’ve gone in with 20quid and ended up a couple of k down is unreal.

I can’t wait for it to come in. It might seam selfish but they have done some serious damage to people so I can’t wait.

When I used to play poker there the withdrawl times used to be very quick (same day in most cases) so they do process quickly. I think (and I maybe wrong) but you could link your casino card to your online gambling account so you could withdraw cash from a casino. Need to double check if this was grosvenor or someone else though
