The cunt puts like 30 adverts into a 10 minute video from what I’ve heard
I wouldn’t know, I run uBlock Origin.
In regards to StopAndStep – I genuinely believe that this guy has a learning disability. He’s just a bit slow, isn’t he?
Yeah I didn’t want to come across as mean by phrasing it that way, but will confess I’ve had the same thought. It’s why I buy in to the theory he’s a lottery winner; I mean, it’s quite self-evident he’s not working some highly rewarded white collar profession or a successful entrepreneur.
He also seems just so easily and genuinely confused and surprised by slots, even ones he’s played dozens of times before. There’s got to be something going on there.
1As my GamStop mandatory period is coming to an end in a few months and I would like to start some calmer, controlled low stake slotting again when it’s up (and stay well away from live roulette!), I am wondering if many of the bigger brand casinos will simply refuse to re-open my account for having previously been on the register because of course it says to them you are an addict and even after you’re de-registered, the fact you were on GamStop is visible to casinos for seven years.
1StopAndStep is a weird one. For someone who gambles and plays slots on a daily basis, years in he still seems to have no idea how slots work or how to play them. I swear you could release a slot where every win gave you the option to either collect it or give it back and he’d be sitting there jabbing the give back button and going “hmm this give back button’s not very good, is it guys? it’s well due to give me a win”
He also doesn’t really promote affiliate links in the same way any other YouTubers do. He has them on his site, but he doesn’t do giveaways and doesn’t really promote or incentivise people to visit his site and click those links so I can’t imagine he’s getting anything like the revenue from it to fund his content. The popular theory is that he won the lottery a few years back and I’m actually inclined to believe it.
Gather up as much cash as you can from your place of work
Drive to the nearest casino
Plow the lot on red or black
Replace the money if you win
Just kidding, but seriously, I’ve been there. That’s genuinely the thought process I juggle around in my head until sense kicks back in. Just have to talk yourself out of it and move forward 1 day at a time without further ruining your life. GL
You joke about it, but a couple of idiots actually tried this. I’ll see if I can find the story, it was a few years ago now. They took £6k from a safe where they worked and figured, geniuses that they were, they could go to the nearby casino, put the lot on red, put the six grand back and pocket the same amount for themselves without anyone ever knowing.
The slight flaw in their otherwise solid plan was the ball landed on black.
First, you need to cut off your access to gambling. Visit https://gamstop.co.uk/ and register, today.
Second, you need to deal with the rent issue. It’s not clear from your post whether paying your rent for the previous month (in arrears) is your normal arrangement or whether you mean you’re supposed to pay in advance (which is the more normal arrangement) and you’re already behind. If this is so, it’s important to note falling 2 months in arrears is sufficient for your landlord to begin a Section 8 eviction process.
I’ll assume you’re in England, so have a look at these pages for advice but TLDR is the immediately recommended step is to contact your landlord or agent and see if you can reach an agreement to pay off this month’s rent over the next few months alongside keeping up with future rent due.

Finally, on an emotional level, you need to breathe, keep calm and understand this is not the end of the world. You will be able to fix things and build a better future but it’s not going to happen by tomorrow morning. Losing a whole month’s wages in minutes is something many of us have done, I’ve done it, we can relate and we understand the feelings you’re going through. But if you truly don’t want to have to live your life feeling that way any more, you do need to be willing to help yourself, understand what else is going on in your life or in your head that’s making you gamble, confront the fact you have a problem and take the necessary steps to stop doing it.
If you’re struggling with your feelings at this point, please visit https://www.gamcare.org.uk/ and either call or speak to someone on live chat, they have trained counselors who deal specifically with gambling issues and will be able to help you without any judgement. It’s a very good service, trust me on that.
May I add you might you get a few rolly-eyes or sarcastic sounding comments on here – please don’t take anything from it. There was a time when both The Bandit and several other forum members gave away a lot of money to help people in this kind of situation and that kindness, sadly but not unpredictably, resulted in a lot of chancers trying to take advantage. It’s now very difficult particularly for long time established members who’ve been burned this way to know who’s genuine and who’s just looking for a free quick buck to throw on the slots. Personally although I’ve done well not gambling as a result of signing up with Gamstop, I’m still paying off debts incurred as a result of my habit and therefore unfortunately not in a position to offer any direct financial aid. I can only wish you well and hope things work out.
11I wouldn’t say the bubble’s burst but the market is heavily saturated now and it’s harder even for well established big name streamers to attract new sign ups and keep up their revenue. Seems like everyone and their mum has a slot channel on YouTube now, but unless you’re getting 50 affiliate sign ups per video it’s going to cost you more to make the content than you get back. And it’s annoying me now the increasingly dodgy looking casinos being promoted in this desperate chase for revenue, “Hey guys, Gary Smith Slots here back for another session, I’m over at Super Jackpot Win Win Win Triple Seven Slot Heaven Casino Dotcom today, if you want to click my link and sign up they’re doing 200% bonus on your first deposit…” You click and check the terms, £100 deposit with £200 bonus, have to wager £200,000 to make a withdrawal, bonus winnings capped at £25.
31You missed out on a nice couple of grand bonus there too! Very unfortunate but even though luck wasn’t on your side I have to say once again Steve’s nature of spontaneous generosity brings a smile to my face. What a solid guy. I mean, I know you work for him but I’ve seen so many times how it’s just in his nature to share his good fortune and success where he has it and he obviously enjoys making a difference to other people. And he never moans or gets bitter when a session doesn’t go his way, instead he reminds everyone to stick to what they can afford.
If you want to play a low volatility game where the bonus is guaranteed to be above zero, there are hundreds to choose from. If you want to play a high volatility game where there’s potential for a bonus to pay out thousands of times your stake, you’re going to have to accept it might also pay nothing.
If you want a game which bonuses frequently, is guaranteed a decent minimum prize and has potential to pay out monster hits, that’s not going to happen.
Think for example newspapers – the giant headline will often be white on black, whereas the article body is printed dark on white. A forum where you expect the bulk of content to be readable text is certainly a very poor choice for light on dark.
@argyl53 – I use black background with white text. Not just web browser but OS-wide. The normal way round causes eye strain for me.
Also, why do I keep getting an error on here: “ERROR: Are you sure you wanted to do that?”
There are a few people for whom dark backgrounds work better, but extensive research shows that broadly people can read faster and with less eye strain and more accuracy when they see dark (not black) text on a light background, whereas the inverse works better for cases where people will skim rather than read (large print headings etc.)
Obviously there are other particular use cases for dark backgrounds, for example syntax highlighting in programming where text will be in a range of colours depending on what it represents.
I don’t care that they both do and therefore offer something similar to the bandit (though they’ll never come close in quality, either with their channels or website), it’s just a horribly designed site.
Black backgrounds with white text went out of fashion circa 1998 and for good reason. The HTML is horrible, using a bunch of semantically meaningless made up tags (you can generally get away with this in HTML5 and modern browsers in terms of appearance but it’s a bad idea for many other reasons to deviate from defined standards).
It’s way too heavy on advertising and promoting their affiliate links, really shoves it in your face in a way BIAM doesn’t.
And at the very least, just like their channels, if you can’t accuse of it directly copying the Bandit, there’s no doubt which site the “inspiration” came from – in contrast to Rocknrolla’s site for example whixh does very well in being a site in the same industry space but having very much its own identity.
Yeah Jim and Craig’s site gave me the impression of a cheap BIAM knock-off too.
But far more offensively, if anyone here is a web designer / developer, go on their site, view the HTML and prepare to be horrified!
@Seedy did you ever get round to this? If you could either pass my email or vice-versa, much appreciated.
I’m in debt by 4figures for doing it and I have taken 3 them to the fos for irresponsible lending and they didn’t uphold..I took every gambling debt I have just to for a punt at it and The only debt that did give me all my money back was safetynetcredit. An evil payday loan type thing that has direct access to your account so they can take your repayment as soon as funds hit your account, before you can touch it, so they could see me borrow 300 and spaff it minutes later at casumo.. Over all gambling on credit should be completely illegal, a few years ago I had so little control I’d litterly dig my sofa for a quid to spin in the bookies, offering me the chance to pay later was a no brainer for my addicted mine at the time
Ahhhh I remember once many moons ago with my trashy credit rating I looked at Safetynet and got right through the process, told I was approved for credit then immediately bailed when it came to the page “Almost there! One last thing, we just need you to give us your online banking login details.”
Yeah, fuck that. Your bank isn’t liable for any fraud on your account if you’ve given the keys to someone else.
I’ve heard it said a few times that features land in on average once every 1000 spins so I would argue that 3 features in 10000 spins has significantly short changed me.
Yes Bonanza is one of the few that can keep you going for a while just on the base game but I’m still waiting for a feature after what must be around 3000 spins on it.
Depends how it’s spread out. If you’ve had 3000 spins on Bonanza in one unbroken session, yes that’s statistically very unlucky. If it’s say 10 separate sessions of around 300 spins each, you’re moderately unlucky to have not hit it once but actually it’s a less surprising outcome than you might think.
You wouldn’t watch Match of the Day and be like wow, they scored a suspiciously high number of goals in those games, didn’t they? You can’t watch an edited slot bonus compilation video and be like wow, that’s a lot of bonuses – of course it is, you’re watching streamers who’ve condensed up to 8 hours of play in to 40 minutes or an hour of footage, cut out the hundreds of spins on each game they didn’t hit anything and maybe busted out their balance and re-deposited a couple of times.
