I’ve never watched Davo and I don’t know anything about the gaming industry in Australia so I can’t answer you about him using VPNs. Everything I say about casinos, providers, laws and regs are in reference to those covered by the UK Gambling Commission Licensing. In the UK, sign up with a site like Casumo or Leo and then log in the next day with an IP address which puts you in a different country and you will probably find your account gets flagged, because it can be both of a sign of attempting to violate terms and potential fraud activity.
I don’t agree that affiliated streamers using casino funded accounts or huge bonuses is what I’d call manipulation. It’s certainly dishonest and reason enough for me to not watch or be a part of that channel, but it’s not making you do anything or giving a false impression of how the actual games play. I also don’t agree that as a viewer you have any entitlement to know the ins and outs of a streamer’s income and expenditure.
Now that previous paragraph is a matter of opinion, JB, and you are free to hold a different one. You’ve got to stop this thing of interpreting someone disagreeing with you as a personal attack on you and your right to exist, it isn’t.
Maybe it’s just me but I always quite liked the thrill of not knowing which way it was going to go. Yeah I’ve had a 27 spin Bonanza bonus which burned I think 22 of them without a win, I’ve also had 800x off 12 spins. Things I might suggest as potential extra incentives or improvements have been done in other Megaways games, like for example guaranteeing a minimum number of ways each bonus spin or a chance to start with a higher multliplier.
Dodgy using VPNs to access a casino account, logging in from different IP addresses in different locations sounds like a surefire way to get your account flagged and suspended.
Yeah thing is while I can see why the bigger streamers want to show they aren’t fake and are using real money when they play, I don’t think they owe you anything else. They don’t need to share details of their affiliate deals or earnings or bonuses or whatever else, they simply don’t owe you that information. If you don’t trust a streamer to be genuine, don’t watch them and/or don’t sign up to a casino through their affiliate link. That’s always been my policy, in fact The Bandit is the only affiliate I’ve ever used to sign up anywhere and that was only one casino.
No, I can’t agree with that. I think the responsibility is on the player to know the games they’re playing and stop making assumptions like just hitting a bonus trigger is going to guarantee a big win. There are games with a pay for triggering the bonus or which have a bonus guarantee and if that’s the behaviour you want, you can go and play those titles. Megaways appeal for different reasons, specifically the ultra high bonus volatility with the potential to pay up to thousands of times your stake. It’s a natural flipside that for someone to win a grand of 20p stake, there’s also going to have to be a lot of bonuses which pay naff all.
It seems shit is hitting the fan all over the place since i have been away lol – I am back home now, got back yesterday around 4ish i think it was. I will have to catch up on all the fallout i guess but the problem is, someone somewhere will think you are fake no matter what you do so after all the times i have actually showed stuff, bank statements, pending transactions, histories etc – is there much more that i can actually do, i don’t think there is so i probably won’t bother.
Please don’t bother, you are the last person who needs to pander to accusations of trickery, it’s not just that you’ve been transparent, you’ve also given away god knows how many thousands of pounds to members of your community. You don’t need to justify a damned thing. Hope you had a great holiday and looking forward to seeing your next vid!
The thing I don’t like about a lot of streamers is this “we’re in”, “we have a bonus”, “we’re in profit guys!” – er no mate “we” are not anything, you are.
1Well Nick showed him going in to Casumo etc. in a browser and going through his deposit and withdrawal history, and I’m pretty confident that guy hasn’t managed to build complete clones of multiple casino sites in 24 hours. Dazza on the other hand just waffled about trying to round his balance before starting a video.
1Nah, bad idea. It’s like if you think hmm well i like pizza, I like ice cream and I like orange juice so maybe if I put all those things in a blender the result is awesomeness. Doesn’t work.
11I was only asking for proof because awesomex said he had it lol.
I sees. There probably isn’t any, I can’t imagine what proof would be out there because of course any content creator only has to reveal what they choose. It intrigues me that fake streamers have become a hot topic since Paul’s video though; I always took it for granted there were many fake streamers and they are for the most part fairly easy to spot on at least balance of probability if not proof. I watch around 5 including Steve and Paul who I believe to be wholly genuine, real money gamblers and more importantly, I find them fun to watch. Even if e.g. Roshstein is real, his style and persona still turn me off like a granny’s sagging, wrinkled tits.
1Now you’ve posted both start and finish pictures, you can see only the top horizontal reel has changed, so it’s probably just a display glitch where it doesn’t reset that reel from whatever it was in the final bonus spin on exit to the base game. If you look at the start point, there was not a queen win there.
Yeah, or I could go I’m posting on a forum and not submitting a scientific paper. If you doubt any of the facts I posted in that thread, please feel free to absolutely not take my word for it and go and verify for yourself. If you can’t be bothered, believe whatever you want to believe, it makes no difference to me.
@PsychicSnail my intuitive suspicion would be that as has been suggested, it’s a mix of real and fake where he’s making low real cash deposits and getting huge, unrealistic bonus amounts on them no ordinary player would get.
If that is the case then every website has a link. I dont disagree nor care with the argument but as it stands my fact i posted have as much substance as yours did
How? The first is a clear statement of subjective opinion (there are no facts in regards to one’s perception of style) and the other isn’t even a coherent English sentence. It doesn’t matter whether I included links or not, you can easily look up, download and read for yourself e.g. the GC’s technical design requirements, it takes one Google search. Other examples like RTP, the “link” is the previous posts on the forum where I’ve explained the maths in detail. Again, that I haven’t actually posted a convenient hyperlink doesn’t inhibit you from independently verifying the truth of that information.
Yeah, shocking as this might seem based on other threads where we’ve both interacted, I very much agree with awesomex on this one and I think it’s a red herring for people to be saying oh show me this absolute proof that he’s fake. Roshstein could release a video on his channel where he admitted it’s all fake and you could still argue that technically, it’s not proof he’s fake, it’s just proof he released a video in which he said he was.
It goes back to what I’ve said on this forum repeatedly in recent days; making up your mind is about critical thinking, the objective analysis of the evidence available to you to come to a conclusion. For me, the pertinent evidence in respect of Roshstein is that he never plays on or is affiliated with reputable casinos covered by the UK licence (I use this as a benchmark of casinos standards because our regulations are so stringent), comes across on his videos in a manner I would describe as theatrical and unlike any streamer I know to be genuine particularly in respect of losses, plays at frequencies, balances and stakes which if genuine experience tells me would require close to a seven figure bankroll to maintain and appears (as awesomex pointed out) to be followed by bots on YT.
Is any of that “absolute proof”? Of course not, but it definitely smells dodgy and that’s enough for me to give him a wide berth.
