I’m not saying he was mentally unwell because he spent time on the forum, I’m saying being on the forum wasn’t good for his mental health. Like if I hated Scientology with a burning passion and was convinced they were trying to take over the world and ruin people’s lives, if I was suspicious that every person I met worked for Scientology and was trying to subvert me and prevent speaking out against it….I probably wouldn’t spend all my time on a Scientology forum.

Mr B getting booted was the best thing that could happen to him, honestly The Bandit did him a favour, the guy was not mentally well. Being on a gambling forum all the time, talking about gambling, talking to other gamblers, constantly thinking about gambling as an industry and activity…it was obviously not doing his wellbeing any favours.

He wasn’t banned for having anti-gambling opinions, he was banned because literally the first thing he did after Seedy and The Bandit clearly said no more playground call-out threads was create another playground call-out thread. I think he actually wanted to be banned, I think in his mind it’s proved some paranoid point and satisfied him.

I used to love The Bandit when few other people did. Most of the enjoyment for me is following the rollercoaster, which to my mind was very real say 2 years ago. So I could put myself in Bandit’s position and play along with him (that’s why other people do live streams because people play along with them live). Nowadays there is no rollercoaster because the wins and losses don’t really mean a great deal, and all of the money is kinda insured anyway with the website and affiliation and whatnot

I’m also getting bored with constant winning. It’s unnatural. Every time I watch a video it’s thousands up or tens of thousands up.

Just FYI – if Bandit or any other streamer does giveaways, don’t slate them for it but for the love of God do NOT act like this is charity, or a goodwill gesture, or anything like that. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Bandit and other streamers are given money by YOU AND ME via casinos and affiliates, they merely give a TINY FRACTION of it back to appease their OWN conscience, not to make a difference for you and me. Of course these sort of prize draws increase interest, traffic and revenue.

Please nobody laud casino streamers for giving back PART of what WE gave THEM in the first place. Fuck me does it get on my goat to hear people praise devils as if they are saints.

In respect of the older videos, lower stake bonuses etc. I agree with you, I don’t really enjoy the high stake £40 a spin Reel King vids because I just can’t relate to that level of gambling.

On your second point about the giveaways though, I couldn’t disagree more. Between the cost of the sessions you see on video and the giveaways, the revenue left over from affiliation is really not as huge as people think. And this is not counting the many additional giveaways / spot prizes Steve has done just to help people out, whether they signed up to any casino through his links or not. How can you say it’s not charitable when he gives someone on the forum a few hundred quid or even a couple of grand just because he felt like helping? That’s lord knows how many thousands in total he could’ve just kept for himself, none of it brought any more affiliation or revenue for him. He’s the most generous streamer out there by a long way.

    Ok guys…new update.

my PC is giving out 1 long beep alarm…… any ideas?

One long beep is some kind of BIOS error, in your case from the problem described I’m guessing video adapter or video memory failure during the power-on self-test. But what the beep actually means as an error code depends on the manufacturer. Either way it’s indicating a hardware fault and you be buggered, basically.

It wasn’t a game I played often as I liked Book of Ra better, but I once went over 500 spins on BoD before it landed. I’d never give any slot 2000 or more spins chasing a bonus which averages less than 100x, what’s the point?

If he hadn’t hit that first five scroller when he did, what would’ve happened? That was miracle-level good fortune.

The only reason I wouldn’t say Steve has a serious problem with that game right now is because so far, he has incredibly managed to land on his feet again and again through playing it. But it’s obvious when you watch the videos he is starting to see Reel King as a bottomless purse. I’ve no doubt the day is coming where he sinks over 100k in and doesn’t hit the top, because he now has this expectation that no matter how deep in he goes, he’ll eventually hit enough tops to come out in profit.

The videos are getting harder to watch. You can see there’s just no enthusiasm for normal slot play anymore and I don’t even mean an hour of bonuses at £2 stake, I mean it’s starting to come across like he sees making the videos as an annoying chore, that anything other than bashing RK at ultra high stakes is just a distraction. That’s why we’re seeing more and more videos where a large portion of the content is made up of lazy feature buys. Personally I think the amount of revenue he’s been getting from RK has probably eclipsed whatever he made from affiliation by a huge margin and he’s questioning the need to keep putting out quality video content now.

Maybe I’m wrong, only Steve knows what he thinks inside, this is just the impression I get watching.

Seriously, i understand that streamers play a lot more than other people, but I have played this slot, admittedly on freeplay in the background while doing other stuff for hours, just to see what the fuss is about.

And yet again Jimbo Casino hits a huge mega win, just following Nick Slots hitting a huge megawin on a new slot   I know, based on Eeejit’s posts, that they can’t be fixed, but where the fuck is all the money coming from to do the amount of spins that generate all these mega wins.  I’m not a conspiracy theorist but is it possible that the casino’s are giving them unlimited free funds (non cashable) to play on these slots until they actually get a  big win to post, to encourage online play?

    .

Was like about £10k off 90p stake wasn’t it, something ridiculous like that? In all the time I was playing slots online, the biggest win I ever hit on any game was 2500x and that happened once. I also hit 2000x twice and have had wins ranging from 1000-1500x maybe seven or eight times. That’s across dozens of different games, hundreds of features, millions of spins. Hell, I probably gave Bonanza alone around 2 million spins of real cash play and only hit 1000x once.

I don’t think the games are rigged for streamers, I’m sure everyone who recognises me on the forum knows I don’t buy in to those ideas. It may well be pure coincidence that both Nickslots and Jimbo hit massive wins, certainly I’ve seen other streamers including The Bandit who’ve played it and haven’t. Also some of the variance can be explained by new games getting that many more spins than titles which have been sitting on the shelf for a long time. That said, I do have a suspicion some providers will increase the RTP to over 100% when they first launch a game to hook players in, willing to take an initial overall loss to get people excited about playing then tone it back down to 95% or whatever after a month or two. Danger High Voltage when it first came out used to pay massive features right, left and centre to everyone. Not just streamers, loads of people would regularly hit 250, 500, 1000, even 5000x bonuses yet if you look at it now, average bonus is about 30x.

    Let me know bud.

Between Mickey, Haz, Oldmoon, Wiggy and another friend I’m just about able to cover it. Thank you very much for the offer though and everyone else for their support, honestly that so many people have been willing to help a stranger is overwhelming.

@seedy please lock the thread now, don’t want people to think it’s still an ongoing thing.

Thank you all who are offering to help, it’s really appreciated, I’ll get in touch with those whose email addresses Seedy sends me.

The date I’ll be able to return any money lent to me is 28th June, I have too many financial commitments at ends of May, so bear that in mind before you offer to help, but again thanks so much to the many kind people offering support. Hopefully in a couple months I’ll be in the position to do the same for any of you if the need arises.

If your really hard up and have no food etc. Then just sell then buy back. Its not rocket science. Ive done it numerous times.

Not asking you to shell out anything mate, but for the record I absolutely would go down the cash converter route except my phone and laptop I rely on for work and income, so those aren’t pawnable and my TV didn’t even cost £150 new, so CC wouldn’t offer me more than £30 for it if I was lucky!

In respect of other advice, no unfortunately I have just enough money for groceries / essential spending but what’s happened is I fell behind on council tax when I was sick for a while and missing some days of work a couple months running reduced my income. They’re now threatening to call in an entire year’s bill if I can’t pay my arrears in the next few days. Not sure where they think I’d magic up a grand from when I don’t currently have the £200, seems strange logic but my experience with councils is they don’t hesitate to haul you to court for their tax money, which then increases the debt further.

Thanks Haz and Mickey for the kind offer, but can see it being a bit of an admin nightmare getting 10 email addresses, giving 10 people bank details, getting 10 people’s bank or PayPal details, listing it all down…can easily see myself accidentally missing someone come pay back day and so looking like I’ve ripped them off!

Be careful with FOBT slots to check the loading / info screen – some games which used to be random have been reimplemented for April and recategorised as compensated rather than random, particularly the new “fortune spin” modes where you stake £2 for the chance to win what used to be like a £20 spin.
