Bandit chooses a forum post as “Post of the Week” or month / whatever and whoever wrote it gets to pick a slot. Bandit gives them the outcome of a £2 stake bonus on it in his next video.
I used to play a lot of Bonanza, never had the patience to give it a thousand plus spins, let alone sixteen thousand. But I have to say, it was very rare for me to not get a bonus inside a couple hundred spins, I think only twice I got to 500 and gave up. My lowest recorded bonus win was 4x, my highest was over 1000x, my average was about 150x and I had quite a few in the 300-600x range.
But you have to look at it this way: quite often after a run of 100 spins, you’re only down 30 spins worth of credit. Sometimes you’re up even without a bonus. Frequent bonuses or the base game floating your balance; you’re simply not gonna get both on any slot.
This is, this game will get hundreds of thousands of spins in aggregate every day. It may well still overall be playing within its long term RTP, even though a few people are getting huge wins off it. Not to mention that no matter how much The Bandit has made off it, it still takes crazy balls to go for the top on large stakes. It gets to a point you’re risking double or nothing on 10 or 20 grand. How many players, even comparative high rollers, are realistically going to resist collecting if they manage to get a win up to that kind of money?
I’ve had quite a few occasions in the past where I could quite feasibly have topped the Captain Venture ladder, but when the gamble hit e.g. £400 off an initial 80p win, I wasn’t risking it all for one more hit that could easily lose.
Again I would like to iterate strongly to everyone that what The Bandit does is not something you can easily or definitely replicate, even at minimal stakes and I know because I tried hard on Reel King a few months back, as I’m sure did many of his viewers in 2018.
1On a separate note, @thebandit any chance of some other Novos in your next vid? I loved the now really old ones where you’d give Captain Venture, Book of Ra, Garden of Riches, Dolphin’s Pearl and all the other classics a good bash. These were my favourites before I blocked myself so as I can’t play them anymore I’d really appreciate it if you’d give a couple a bash for me 🙂
I know your deposits and wins are fully legit, it just boggles my mind how you’ve managed to get so repeatedly lucky on this game to the tune of tens of thousands. That said, it probably boggles yours too. All you can do is let the good times roll as long as it keeps paying you!
Given the outcome is determined server-side, we can safely say this one is a case of seeing patterns in coincidence.
@thebandit if Casumo go bankrupt in the next few months everyone will know who to blame!

I’ll predict £2k deposit, starting on £16 stake, first press rolled in £32 and you topped it for £16k. A few spins and ladders later and you’re cashing out £54k profit 😀 honestly it wouldn’t even surprise me at this point!
No but you can transfer from any other bank account or top up via debit card. Main thing is it keeps your gambling transactions on an entirely separate account your primary bank can’t see.
1Get yourself a Monzo or Revolut card (prepaid debit card), transfer from your main account to that and use it for deposits and withdrawals.
Over 5000x what a hit! I managed 1000x once, after dozens of bonuses and tens of thousands of spins. Congratulations, that one needs to go in the big win hall of fame.
Some great suggestions in this thread, thanks everyone 🙂
@Mickeyvondickey You can see old B3 cabinet games with £500 jackpots on ebay sometimes.
Good lord, that is Poe’s Law in action. I’m going to generously lean on the side of satire.
No room for a man cave in my rented flat! I’m thinking of taking up sketching, I’ve always been pretty bad at drawing but my girlfriend and a few other people have assured me it is possible to learn to do it well even if you’re not the artistic type. I had a go for a while every day earlier last year and managed to produce one reasonably good drawing of my cat, the rest of my sketches weren’t great. Plus it’ll give me something to do with my hands to replace all that mouse clicking 😀
So how many attempts at the ladder would you guestimate on average it takes for you to get that top hit? When I was playing it a few months ago, I found the vast majority of gambles wouldn’t get me past the second or third level. Only once in around I’d say about 400 attempts did I get to one away from the top and I never managed to hit it. Maybe around 20 got to within three presses from the top.
