Haha, already Gamstop’d a couple of weeks ago mate, I had a solid month in December of massive hits on the slots then went overboard on live roulette after a bad tilt and lost everything plus most of my wages. I’m getting mad cravings for slots every day now but at the same time glad I can’t scratch the itch.
Free play is boring, I’ve tried it but without any real cash at stake I just find I don’t care what happens. Or it goes the other way and I turn £100 of demo money in to about 30 grand and then get pissed that never happened when I was playing for real!
Fair enough, just a similar writing style I guess. Tbh the mere fact Brizman hasn’t gone on an expletive laden rant and called me a c**t several times is enough to convince me they’re different people 😀
1Once about a year ago I was down from a deposit of about £150 on Casumo to my last £2 and stuck it in Book of Ra at 20p stake. It bonused on the last spin. I can’t remember how the rest of the session went but I do know about four hours later I cashed out £3000. Then lost most of it over several sessions in the following 2 weeks like a mug.
1The syntax and use of “CAPITALISATION” is astoundingly similar. I guess we all have doplegangers.
JB is known to use multiple accounts here so it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
Nah you’re thinking of Golden Charms, one of the very early FOBT games before they had a proper range of slots. Instead of pots in the middle 3 reels you could get Win Streak. I remember the first time it landed, I thought it would be a super feature like the pots on classic RR, but it turned out it was shit and paid about £20.
It is, I’ve mentioned it before. First spin on Spinal Tap can only give you 2-4 of whatever, the published game info also says your best strategy is to reject the first offer.
To explain this another way, I’m sure we all accept tossing a coin has a 50/50 chance of landing on heads or tails. Toss a coin ten times. Did you get exactly 5 heads and 5 tails? Almost definitely not. But that doesn’t mean the outcome is rigged or not random, it’s just your sample size is so small the actual result may differ greatly from the theoretical result. Now toss a coin a million times (or perhaps for practicality, have a computer simulate it for you). You will find the actual result is very, very close to a 50/50 split between heads and tails. In probability theory, this is called the law of large numbers and is a well understood, proven branch of mathematics.
1How can every spin possibly be random? You could never fix an RTP. In my opinion they are just like fruities in the pub.
I’ve explained this before and I’ll explain it again. Every spin on slot games is random. The long-term RTP is theoretical, not actual. Mathematically, over the long term, the more spins are played on a slot, the closer the actual RTP will trend towards the theoretical RTP.
It’s not difficult to design a slot to have a particular theoretical RTP where the spin result is random. It can be done simply through the paytable vs the distribution of symbols on the reels. Some slots do have other factors in play, but they are fundamentally random.
Also you can’t really just say “in my opinion they’re like fruties in the pub”, that’s not an opinion, it’s like saying in your opinion the earth is flat. The shape of the earth is a neutral fact. Someone can believe the earth is flat, but if they do they’re plain wrong. So it is with claims that random slots are rigged or compensated or pre-determined. They are simply not.
Glad you got lucky again Steve, but you were dangerously close to spunking over 20 grand up the wall this time! There is going to be a day where you do this and it doesn’t give you the top. You know this and your strategy is to only play with previous profit from the game, but it’s still going to hurt when the crash happens. Now you’ve got the house sorted, maybe it’s time to bank half the current profit and start again from £4 stake?
Many moons ago on the FOBTs, it was common for newly installed games to give you a decent-ish win on the very first spin, which can only have been to lure in players. But it worked out well for me one day, I discovered a new version of Rainbow Riches installed that very day was guaranteed to give you a 4 leprechaun bonus on the first spin. I went round 7 different bookies that morning and hit it on multiple machines in all of them, best part was I could tell from the pot levels whether anyone had already spun it or not. Made about £900.
I can tell you I tried to top that Reel King ladder hundreds of times a couple months ago, I was on 40p stake and nine times out of ten I was lucky if I could double a 20p win to 40p before it binned me off. The Captain Venture ladder was surprisingly kind to me, I never went all the way on that but I very close a few times before I panicked and hit Collect. Reel King I never got remotely near the top and it wasn’t for lack of trying. Your luck on that game is almost incomprehensible. I kind of want to confirm to people I can assure you as someone who’s tried, this is not a game you can just consistently beat by doggedly pressing Gamble again and again.
Hey Niko, this happened to me a while back with Rizk on a winning roulette spin; they lost my money for a week but I did eventually get it. Talk to their support, they’re an honest casino and if you had the win you’ll eventually get the money, just takes them ages to verify it with the game provider.
Sure, but on that note before I blocked myself, I noticed Bonanza on one of the main sites I played on had the auto removed….just curious if anyone knows why so many games are having this taken out?
