Playing Who wants to be a Millionaire Megaways slot. Bonus drops in, kills me off at the answer for 12 spins, so get 10. Bonus starts;
In the bonus MAX MEGAWAYS apears 5! times. Yes, 5 freaking times. Total bonus pay out? 61x
How the hell did I only win this little amount??
I had seven bonuses in one day, six of which knobbed me off for no bonus on the first gamble (with some of those claiming odds on the right answer of more than 85%). But the other one went mental; max ways came in on the second to last spin and just wouldn’t stop winning and cascading. Took the multiplier from x8 to x18 and paid a total of about 1200x. I’ve also had a 20 spin bonus pay nothing for 17 of the spins going for a total of 11x. Seems pretty random, you never know what you’re going to get.
Just sack them off. Seems like Casumo have really gone downhill since I was playing there. Plenty of other decent casinos to choose from.
9th February 2020 at 9:32 pm in reply to: Where can an ex-gambler borrow money when its urgent?! #90716Yeah I’d echo Rhino above, I’m sorry to say it but sometimes you have to accept things the way they are. If you don’t know anyone who’s willing to lend you the money to clear your mortgage arrears in the next couple of weeks, or would sign as a guarantor on a loan, there’s just not a magic way out of that situation. I can certainly sympathise with the good wage, shit credit rating situation but I’ve just had to accept my credit rating is fucked for the next few years and the reality is it’s because I have a bad historical track record of making debt repayments in full and on time….I mean, why would a lender trust me now?
On a more positive note, whatever happens, it’s not and is never too late for your life to get better. All these things, all these stresses and bills, even a house repossession; it’s not the end of the world. I’m not saying it doesn’t suck or doesn’t matter, but there are so many people who have done so much worse. Gambling addiction has taken lives, you can still rebuild yours.
Have you not worked out yet that playing any slot has a negative expectation?
Well, we know obviously, but at least give us some ‘quality time’ while playing. This is just running out of hand if you ask me being assraped for over 1500 spins in his example, but i’m sure there’s so many other games doing the very same. It leaves a very negative feeling which is’nt how gambling was designed to be.
Programmers just dont give a shit. They have half understood what gambling was (excitement, expectation and all that) and not lure players into playing more then they could afford. Do they?
Ive had my fair share of being rekt up the ass gameplays as well; i think i’ll go more landbased since that offers me lots of more fun then online.
Online slots have higher returns than any land based.
Slots operate to pure chance within their designed parameters. If you go 1500 spins without anything happening, that’s unlucky, but there’s also players who’ve hit a 500x or 1000x within their first 10 spins on the same game. Blaming the programmers when you don’t get a win or don’t like a game is silly, it’s like blaming a surgeon if your local hospital closes instead of the government who took away its funding and made the decision to shut it down. Programmers program within the specs they’re given, they’re not just making it up as they go along. If the spec they’re given is 96% overall RTP, 30% of which is to come from bonus features which should have a 1 in 400 chance of landing on any given spin, that’s what you’re going to get.
Looks like the base pays are so bad that you need to be hitting about x40 in the bonus just for a few ways of a low symbol to equal 1x your stake. Also like Rhino Megaways it has all the polished appearance and behaviour of an unfinished prototype.
1Vote DONUTS for your next single slot play
I donut think we should leave the EU.
Watched a couple of his videos a few months back and didn’t bother again. I don’t have any reason to think he’s fake, he’s just bland….another cookie-cutter YouTube slotter who’s watched channels like the Bandit and thought “hey, I can copy that and make money!” – kind of like Jimbo, only three years too late to really cash in on it.
21st January 2020 at 11:53 pm in reply to: LDW’s – Losses Disguised as Wins and other cool stuff! #89106To add to the bag of marbles analogy in the second video, the likelihood of winning different prizes (so marbles of different, winning colours in the bag) coming out is what determines RTP, but RTP is not quite the same thing as your chance of winning. Sticking with just white marbles lose, red marbles win, if I put 1 red marble in the bag for every 4 white marbles, that means in 1 in 5 drawn will be a winner. But to win, you have to win higher than your stake (or else it’s the classic loss disguised as win, of course), so let’s say pulling a marble out the bag is £1 a go but if you draw out a red marble you win £2, double your stake. That means a 20% chance of winning is actually a long term 40% RTP, because for every £5 in, £2 is paid out. Add some more marbles with other prizes, in different colours and different quantities, and you tune the RTP to whatever precise number you want.
I have to say Steve, I admire your patience because this is about the fourteenth time I’ve seen you explain all this. There was a thread recently where one guy was claiming you were making “£50k in a good month” off affiliation ?
I also love how the post in this these simultaneously blasts you for staking too high and showing “no respect for money” while also complaining “we don’t want to see him on low crappy stakes” – i mean, have your opinion, sure, but at least pick a line of attack and stick to it.
Currently on a 2hr bus journey home after finding out I lost my job this morning they could have rang me and let me know ffs..
We’re you self employed on a contract or something? In most cases, you can’t just spontaneously dismiss someone without notice in this country.
When a thread called BIAM forum is created on TGC and then the same day, a thread is started here called TGC comments, you have to wonder if someone’s just trying to stir the pot.
That’s great, thankyou so much. So the testing and security is at the game level, rather than the bookmaker’s website level? Presumably they just embed these games so they can’t do any “adjustments”?. You have put my mind at rest, so thanks.
Just to clear up this last point for you, yes the games are hosted by their vendors not the individual casinos. When you play Book of Ra, you’re playing it on Greentube’s servers regardless of which casino you’re playing at. In software terms, the casino is like middleware, responsible for vouching for the authenticity of your bet and balance and updating your account in accordance with the game outcome.
In the UK, the Gambling Commission are responsible for this kind of oversight.
In respect of RTP compliance, this is one of the things checked as part of adherence to design and technical standards before a game is released to the public. These tests are conducted by an independent test house and the UKGC has a list of these companies which they have approved.
Otherwise, the GC will periodically in accordance with their own risk assessments associated with each licensee carry out compliance assessments and requests for information and records. This can include site visits, audit trails, finances etc.
Short version is we have some of the most stringent regulation in the world for online gambling and you can be reliably happy that if you’re playing on a UK licensed site, everything is proper and above board. Huge fines can and have been handed down for breaches of licence.

Were you recording that on a PC running Windows 3.1 or something? Sort your frame rate out!
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, pawned the t-shirt for gambling money, lost that too.
All I can say to you mate is this; finances will recover in time and you’d be surprised how quickly when you’re not gambling. Get on Gamstop today, it’ll take five minutes and in a couple of weeks, you’ll emotionally be over the loss. The sick feeling looking at your bank balance, the anger, the urge to gamble more to try and get that money back, it will fade and you’ll get your peace of mind.
