Book of Dead, for being a crapper version of Book of Ra.

Rainbow Riches Megaways for being the most uninspired, insipid Megaways game ever and having basically no connection to other Rainbow Riches games beyond sharing the name.

Raging Rhino Megaways for looking like an unfinished prototype got released to market.

Don’t know what 2020 will bring, but I’m pretty sure it won’t be bringing any free for all Bandit giveaways šŸ˜€

Most likely you’re using the same email address and password for this site as another one which has had a data breach. I can see why it’s confusing, but the warning from Chrome doesn’t specifically meanĀ this site has had a breach, it just means your username and password combo are known to have been breached somewhere.

The worst for me on Captain was when I got four wilds in a line in the bonus…I mean, it still paid about Ā£600 I think on Ā£1 stake, but my god my heart was racing, I seriously thought I was about to hit the almost mythical 8000x wild line, turned out it was just trolling me.

I must have done a couple million spins in total through Book of Ra, only ever had a full explorer line twice. First time was in the base game, second was in a bonus where 10s were the expanding symbol and it made up the explorer line with 3 books for a retrigger.

Also hit a full explorer line once for 750x on Book of Ra 6. Amazingly, it was my very first spin of that session (not the first time I’d ever played it). That line also triggered a bonus with 4 books, but the bonus part paid literally about 4x.

Oh, I’ve also had over 1000x three times on Captain Venture, including once a first press express! Shame that one was only 30p stake.

My personal biggest ever single win on a slot was a 2000x hit on Book of Ra (and I bloody love that game with its books, I don’t know why people bother with Book of Dead, it’s just a vastly inferior clone) and even that’s peanuts to what some people have won on DoA2 or Lil Devil. That hit The Bandit got on 80p stake is a once in a lifetime win, you can play slots every day for years and not get that kind of return on your stake.

Yeah obvs I haven’t played it in a long time, but 200 spins is about the average it used to take me to bonus it and I think it averaged around 50-80x per bonus. The 1000x bonus was the best I’ve ever had (60p stake, it was a load of green gems all the way across on some decent-ish multiplier), a couple of times I had a few hundred X roll in through diamonds on the base game. I do remember a glorious day I hit seven bonuses in the space of a few hundred spins and all but one of them paid over 100x.

It was one of my favourite games, but then I’ve also seen The Bandit give it nearly 2000 spins without hitting a bonus. Likewise, I never got shit off Jammin Jars, not even a couple hundred X, let alone the thousands I’ve seen other people hit.

Now, now. I hit 1000x on Bonanza once a little over a year ago and it was only about the 400th bonus on it I’d ever had.

Incompetent organizer. Crying multi accounters. Angry muppets that lost prize equity, which is less than $1. Cult like following that will defend bandit like heā€™s the second coming of Jesus and of course charity beggars.

The most hilarious part of the whole saga for me was the guy who accused me of being “obviously a mod, maybe even the Bandit himself”. Seedy, you heard it from me – you’re getting a pay rise! šŸ˜€

Which could all be Smoke and mirrors. Youā€™re full of cackamalla. Iā€™ll leave you to return back to Cloud Cuckoo Land.

To recap, you think I’m The Bandit himself in disguise on his own forum and that he/I have had a fake copy of random.org built to forge the outcome of dozens of prize draws to select pre-determined fake winnersĀ and I’m the one in cloud cuckoo land?

So you think you can tell us with the utmost certainty the prize draws are legitimate and fair? How do you know this for fact if youā€™re not a mod or someone closely affiliated to him?

Youā€™re obviously a mod/even be the Bandit himself.

?? I’ve heard it all now! I am an ordinary forum member, I have no connection to The Bandit beyond watching his videos and posting here and much as I would love mod powers, Seedy and the big man himself are the only ones here who have those.

Thatā€™s cringe-inducing in itself in my opinion. If people are going to donate to Charities then, by all means donate. We donā€™t need to hear about how much someone is donating to chairty.

Yes, I’m sure you’d be much happier if Steve had just said he was cancelling the draw but not saying why or what he was doing with the money ?

Oh and for the record mate, if you’d been around here a year or so ago, you’d know there was a long period where The Bandit was giving away money left right and centre to help people who were struggling, or just put a smile on the faces of some of his viewers. Random giveaways on the forum, bonus wins in videos given to viewers…christ, I remember him not only giving people whatever he won in a bonus but even upping the amount he sent them because he felt the feature didn’t pay enough.

And do you know why that stopped? For the same reason this draw didn’t happen – greedy pricks started abusing his generosity and good nature and took the utter piss. The forum became flooded with people just crassly begging and making up bullshit about how they desperately needed money, half of them couldn’t even be fucked to put any effort in to lying and at least come up with a consistent story. I know how much Bandit’s done for people because I’ve been around long enough to see it. So yeah it does piss me off a bit to see all the people like you moaning now.

IĀ honestly canā€™t understand why the ā€˜genuineā€™ people are not disappointed this has been cancelled and why so many have jumped to the Bandits defence here. Something (a prize draw) has been advertised and then subsequently cancelled. It could and should have been run a lot better. There are many ways and means of reducing and in fact stopping spammers, scammers and multiple accounts from entering. Iā€™m probably going to abuse from the bandit bumboys with this post, but it does seem a right con. Iā€™m a generous guy and already donate to charity, if ever I have a big win or win something I give back. I donā€™t need to shout about it to boost my public standing etc.

Iā€™m sorry but The way ā€˜The Banditā€™ has acted in relation to this now raises the question (again) as to whether the other prize draws are actually fair and taking place. Iā€™ve certainly never won anything from entering any of them and wonder whether anyone genuine has, or if itā€™s just people he knows. Doesnā€™t seem right to me.

Jesus, is there something difficult for people to comprehend about the concept of aĀ FREEĀ draw? How on earth are you being conned? You haven’t done anything, you haven’t bought anything, you haven’t paid anything, you haven’t even been asked or encouraged to buy anything or had anything promoted or marketed to you. To describe that as “a right con” is fucking breathtaking.

As a “genuine” forum member, am I mildly disappointed the draw isn’t going ahead and I no longer have my 1 in 10,000 chance of winning? Sure, to maybe the same extent I’m mildly disappointed when I buy a lottery ticket and don’t win the multi-million pound jackpot. I’m defending The Bandit’s decision because 1) cheating assholes don’t deserve to be included and there was no way to reliably be sure all entrants were genuine, 2) it’s great that some good causes and charities will benefit instead and 3) I’m not so precious I’m going to shit my pants because someone else didn’t give me something for free.

I can also tell you with the utmost certainty the regular prize draws are legitimate, everyone who enters has the same fair chance and many people have won and received the money.

First, as an IT professional who has years of experience designing and implementing mechanisms to ensure to the integrity and security of very sensitive financial services infrastructure, and indeed exploiting weaknesses and vulnerabilities, Iā€™m loathed to witness what can only be considered a failure to apply technology correctly to ensure the integrity of an application.Ā  Yeah, I really did just say that and anyone shocked reading that should appreciate their shock is one of the reasons they donā€™t work in this field and I do.Ā  Relying on the honesty and trustworthiness of people entering an internet competition is like leaving your house open to the public so they can warm up during winter and asking them nicely not to take your shit.Ā  You just wouldnā€™t do it.

On this point, I’m also a long time experienced IT professional, specifically in various forms of programming and web development and I will point out when you run a site like this and create a free draw and choose to open it to new members signing up, it’s far more difficult in practice to prevent abuse than you’re suggesting, particularly without putting in a large cost effort to do so. It may be trivial to set up the entry so it records the IP address and perhaps some other fingerprint information about the user signing up and therefore prevent obviously amateur duplicate entries, but the reality is if someone wants to create fifty disparate gmail addresses and run through a bunch of different VPNs to rotate their IP address, or even do this with a script which also submits different user agents etc. you’re going to have a hard time reliably filtering that out. Even CAPTCHAs aren’t infallible, though yeah it’d probably have been an idea to have one on the draw entry pages. The best answers to this problem are logistical rather than technological; you set the rules so only people who were already members at the day and time you released the video are eligible to enter, or something like that. But that doesn’t work if you specifically want to allow new people to sign up and enter.

Second, as somewhat of a liberal person, itā€™s not great to see moderators blocking people for taking issue with the competition being cancelled.Ā  You might disagree with their position but these are people who ā€“ all being said and done ā€“ actually watch your videos.Ā  And as disagreeable as they may be, you should still care about their views, and the ā€œit says more about youā€ stance says just as much about you.

No one is being blocked for disagreeing or saying they didn’t like the draw being cancelled. The only people being moderated are those who are being outright abusive, or those who’ve posted literally saying “only signed up for the draw, delete my account”.
