UPDATE: I had a horrible relapse. Just maxed out a credit card reversing all of my hard work. Feel so sick to the stomach i had to take today off work, I’m going to see the bank and try and negotiate a way to repay them.

Thanks guys, I’ve already enquired about this with several banks and sadly it’s a no go. On the bright side the Government is looking at banning gambling transactions on credit cards soon so I’ll be ditching the debit card in favour of that when it is released.

I’ll probably have to just exclude the newer released ones as they come out. I’ve already had two complaints rejected by the MGA ( currently awaiting results of a third) from casino groups allowing me to open with sister sites despite me requesting self exclusion with all brands. It’s pretty dodgy tbh and I honestly wish license providers had the option to blacklist yourself from all licensees.

Cheers guys for the support. The tilt is a horrible thing but only one way forward. Hopefully it all goes well aiming for a house next year got just enough for a deposit thanks to Kiwisaver scheme (basically a savings scheme where your employer matches you dollar for dollar up to a few % of your pay, can only use for a first house deposit or retirement).

Wish banks in New Zealand could ban gambling transactions tbh, would make it so much easier.

Just a standard ginger cat mate ? the other one once cost me $1,000 once. He got into a major scrap and needed to get stitches lucky the vet is letting me slowly pay it and off. Budget is tight but manageable ? living week by week at the moment but aiming for debt free by February

Cheers Stevie will deffo give it a listen 🙂 I’m lucky enough to have access to a free counselor and am on the verge of giving GA a crack just to see if it helps. A couple of my close friends know my issues, but sometimes it feels like a burden to them which I don’t like putting on people. Oddly enough I’m the only gambler in my group of friends except for one other fella I don’t see often, bit worried about him though as he’s a bit of a roulette fiend who just martingales red/black (Blackjack is my horrible vice :O)

Honestly I think talking about it has been the best for me when it comes to dealing with it, I’m lucky enough to have access to a free counselor though. Thanks for the replies guys.  It’s given me a bit more hope and positive look on the future. With a bit of luck my loan will be gone by new year which is something. Just gotta stay positive and try and forget the loss which is hard, but only 10 weeks wages overall.
