I think that BTG may have got this one wrong. The game is not the easiest to follow and is mostly mind numbingly boring. The main difference with this and the other slots from BTG like Bonanza is that the player knows what they need and it keeps them engaged i.e. they are shouting for a Queen on the front or a Jack on the third etc. This game can no doubt really pay but bonuses with only 2 or 3 free spins are mostly low paying affairs and you’d probably have to get at least 5 to have a realistic chance of a big win.I played it for about an hour and a half and got 5 bonusesof which four were two spins and only one was three spins. In effect I played for 90 minutes without a real bonus opportunity.
Time will tell but i think this will get easily forgotten about with the likes of Holy Diver as I for one just did not enjoy it at all and I normally like BTG games. Apparently there are two new slots to be released later in the year that are not megaways. Hopefully they’ll be better than Starclusters.
I played Beetlejuice for the first time today and that is way more fun. I broadly broke even on both games but I enjoyed playing Beetlejuice and shall play it again. Starclusters is an avoid for me.
What does everyone else think?
Life is too short to try and decipher that utter nonsense. I believe that there is an utterly boring story in there somewhere.
I was Scottish Junior Champion and played in numerous competitions and represented both Scotland and Great Britain before I had my twins.
Handicaps of 54 are insane. That’s three strokes a hole even on a par three. I remember when I had started we played in girls’ competitions where handicaps of up to 36 were permitted and it was nigh on impossible to compete against them.
They are a deadful site. I play poker there, only when there is an overlay or a promo, but never on their casino after i had been playing a game and achieved the bonus. The game froze and when it resumed there was no bonus and the stake was not returned. I thought that the bonus must have paid nil and kept on playing about 20 minutes late I managed to get the bonus again and exactly the same thing happened. I contacted live chat and was almost told “you are lying” that could not have happened as their logs did not show it. The customer service is dreadful and genuinely dishonest. it comes down to the management and i think they are just unethical.
I cannot remember the name of the game but it was a weird thing where you had to collect either bronze, silver or gold baubles to get a spin of a wheel and the free spins were unlimited until skulls showed on the reels – this always took about six spins and generally paid next to nothing. I think the game was based around Da Vinci or Nostradamus or some such thing.
The bonus wheel was however usually quite good.
Tell your missus to record everything, and I mean everything, in an email to them and state that you are making a formal complaint to the UKGC if they do not respond satisfactorily within 7 days. They have closed a customer’s account without letting the customer know why during a complaint process. Also tell them that you hold GVC shares and you will be seeking to raise a question over account closure procedures during a complaint process as a shareholder at the next AGM.
This worked for me and I has also sent a detailed synopsis of my complaint, with supporting evidence, to BBC Watchdog. The amount involved was just over £3,000 and after about two months of trying unsucessfully dealing with 888, by email at 48-72 hour intervals, they paid out my complaint amount in full together with some compensation. I later found out that one call from BBC Watchdog caused them to fold instantly – I was just disappointed that it never made it on to the programme. The researcher said they had a lot of complaints about online gambling companies and that 888 and Partygaming included the worst complaints.
So, basically you allow VS to legitimately withold a small portion of your winnings until a weekend with seemingly no tangible benefit.
Seems like a relatively pointless thing to do and should be something that the players should be required to opt in to rather than being required to read all the conditions in order to understand the need to opt out.
The opening poster has received criticism for not reading the T&C’s and that is entirely valid. Clearly it is no-one’s fault but his and to seek to blame others for his laziness is ridiculous.
The casinos play on the laziness of customers to sneakily reduce RTP’s, charge withdrawal fees and restrict payouts of legitimate winnings and that’s part of their business model.
How many of you though would be furious if, as I understand it, you had placed a bet and it won from funds seemingly readily available and showing in your balance to therafter have the bet voided? VS are responsible for this stupid anomoly that could easily catch anyone out . Moreover, would the bet have been accepted if the bet had been lost? The only way to know would be to read and undersand the T&C’s
Well done Ryan,
You are taking some difficult steps in order to improve both your own life and that of your family. No doubt it will be rewarding but that reward will be lifelong and should provide you with an adrenaline fuelled sense of achievement that will dwarf any transient joy arising from a gambling win.
I’m sure that you will have difficult times ahead and that you must stay strong, You are still very young with everything to fight for and i wish you will in your path to a long lasting happiness unblighted by gambling.
Good luck
1I completed one against my better judgement after I had around 1200 keys.Collecting the 1200 or so keys cost a fortune and the slot is mind numbingly boring . The last 800 or so keys were collected for next to nothing with a few moderate wins along the way. The bonus on a 60p average paid £164 so I probably still lost overall. Horrible game – best avoided. The last 800 keys took around 1250 spins to collect and it seemed like forever even when they were on autoplay.
stop playing it and play something else – you are chasing losses and raising the stake on a game that you are probably never going to win on with that strategy unless you get very lucky indeed.
That was bad luck Lewis – I hope you do better next time. That’s a big loss but at least you got some bonuses. My first hunt resulted in only two bonuses and losing most of the money. You were really unlucky to have so many chances and none of them even looked like paying.
Was it really easy to record it as i think I’d like to do that too and if you like we could do a slot battle as long as the stakes are not too high. In fact if we could get say 8 or 16 folks to do it we could get a little backinamo knockout tournament
1Interestingly it would seem that the majority of people here think that 5-6 is the true number which is actually really not that many
Good luck LC
I posted this only because I had played three bonus hunts at 75p/80p stake with starting balances of £300 with two horrible results and the third bonus hunt saved the overall position
The first bonus hunt had two bonuses, Bonanza and Opal Fruits and they paid 36x and 14x respectively leaving me with around only £40 – a £260 loss
The second bonus hunt had seven bonuses, DHV paid 22x on Gates, Napoleon paid nothing, WWTBAM paid 30x from 10 spins, Hot Spin paid 45x, Rise of Merlin paid 12x (really disappointing as it’s my favourite game), Cash Pump paid 6x and Sword of the Grail paid on 18x for another loss of £169
The final bonus hunt had only four bonuses, Napoleon paid 220x on 60p, Hot Slot paid £120 on 20p stake, Bonanza paid 99x from 17 spins at 40p and finally Legacy of Dead paid £586 after four retriggers on 80p.
Despite a really really good result in the last one I am barely even up overall and I had only 13 bonuses in £900 of play and only one of the bonuses was at a £1 stake and some were even on 20p and 40p. I just felt some of the streamers opened up a stream with “look at all thse bonuses I got for £300” and wondered how many of their claims on bonus collecting were bogus.
I once got a 0.5x win on WWTBAM from eight spins after losing the first gamble on two previous bonuses I chickened out and took 8 spins. It happens and it sucks. So three bonuses paid 0.5x. The absolute worst thing was that I had played the last set of spins at a higher stake than I normally do which made it sting so much more.
I really like their videos and the joy at winning even on a very low stake is obviously entirely genuine although the “sponsor” is bit contrived.
To a large extent it is far more relatable as it’s the stakes that the majority of people, who play for fun only, are comfortable with. I love Bandit’s content even although his betting on the ladders is insane to me because his joy at winning is equally pleasing to the viewer.
If Low Stake Slots could tilt you it must be torture watching some of the other streamers. I suppose we all have our favourites though and some that just irritate folks more than others.
The usual response from an extremely low quality individual. I wonder if this person is genuinely as rude in real life or if they gain “bravery” when hiding behind a keyboard. Can you imagine how little self respect you’d have to have to respond in such a way.
Have a nice day licking handrails.
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don’t worry, I’d respond in exactly the same fashion. I don’t know why you would expect any other response to a ridiculous statement such as yours.
You can’t behave like a cunt and try to take the moral high ground at the same time. Unfortunately you lack the mental capacity to understand this.
Two sentences and he still has to drop in the “c bomb” in an attempt to add impact because nothing else he says actually ever does. How sad must he be to have to litter his limited vocabulary with insults and profanity to gain traction. You only have to imagine the scene. Rbreen gets into an argument and spouts his nonsense – everyones tires of him and ends up walking away- he ends up shouting the c word at the top of his voiceas they disappear so that he can delude himself that he won the argument whereas in reality all the folks that walked away are thinking “who was the clown, he’s got serious issues”
As I disappear into the distance SHOUT AS LOUD AS YOU LIKE it does not alter who and what you are and have become.
