He’s just tried that there after I read your message. Strangely on an internet browser, it has allowed him to start up the game, but it just plays as normal now like there is no saved game or jammed bonus now, but it still hasn’t paid out the original win…

Just posted an almost identical story buddy. Absolutely brutal how you can do so well for so long and then it can be undone in one day/night.

 

As I’ve said in my post, get in contact with your bank mate and make them stop all future gambling transactions incase Gamban etc miss out a rogue casino.

 

keep your chin up, you done great for two years which means you can do it again. Try not let this feeling impact your family life, you are right to be gutted this morning same as me but try and draw a line under it. Save this date in your phone and start again. Remind yourself when you’ve got to a week, then a month and whatever other milestone that feels good.

 

You can do it mate, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, may seem far away just now but you’ll get there.

I enjoy watching these types of games with the builds but I’m not sure if I agree with them morally if I’m being honest. I think these game developers know exactly what they are doing, and there’s already been a case of someone on this forum spending every penny they have because their feature was about to drop, being one heart away etc.

Have a lot of similarities to your story OP. There is light at the end, I haven’t arrived at the light yet but at least I’m in the tunnel at least. I won’t go too much into my own situation and bore people, but I was an every day gambler, not a day would pass without sports bets during the day, FOBTs in the bookies and in services stations after work or in my travels and slots online at night.

 

I’m lucky enough to have a good salary and it took for me to realise that I needed a loan at Xmas to get my friends and family their gifts etc. This was because I gambled every spare pound that I had after bills were paid and got loans if that ran out.

 

On Jan 5th when I went back to work this year I decided it’s no more for me. Got on Gamban, luckily the William Hill near me closed their small branch, and I haven’t placed a bet since. 3months on now, I’m making extra payments to loans etc, I have money in my bank and I’m starting to see that in a matter of time I’m going to have my life back.

 

Sorry to rabbit on but I sometimes feel like putting this down in black and white on this forum is like a form of therapy. Just tell yourself you are doing it, make a start and count the days. When you get to a week give yourself a pat on the back, same again when you reach two weeks etc. Come on here when you reach a month and let everyone know you’ve done it, that acts as an incentive for me when I tell my mates or even put it in here.

 

You can do it mate, I know for a fact you can because everyone has the ability to change. A couple of long years down the line you’ll feel amazing. Wish you all the luck in the world pal.

Yeah that’s just it, I stuck the video on with the intention of watching it during my lunch, but as soon as he mentioned the giveaway had a couple of days to go any not many entrants, the daft gambler inside me said, I could deposit £10 with this new site, have a wee play and lose it and be in with a chance of winning a few hundred.

 

but we all know this isn’t how it works, especially if you don’t immediately put the deposit limits on a site when you join up. I genuinely don’t think I was going to gamble at that time in the day or maybe even that day at all if I wasn’t sucked in by the vid.

 

But I also must reiterate my stance on this, I have, and never will blame a streamer or slotter for decisions that I make myself. I’m coming up to 3months off gambling now which proves it can be done and always could be done, and I believe every adult is completely responsible for all of their own decisions. No blame coming from me whatsoever ??

Streamers can certainly give people the urge to gamble in moments of weakness. It has happened to me before, a couple of years ago.

I was in a Burger King carpark on my lunch watching a Jimbo vid. He mentioned he had a sign up casino and there were only around 15-20 entrants and there was I think, 3 prizes of a few hundred quid. Before I knew it, I had clicked the link, signed up and deposited about £150 before the day was over. Needless to say I didn’t win the sign up comp either. So streamers certainly can add temptation but ultimately we are all adults that need to make our own choices in life in my opinion.

On the point specifically about Rolla, I would never in a million years think that that idea had ever crossed his mind. He’s justified why he had a break (not that he needs to of course) and seems like a cracking guy too.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been more replies on this buddy. I can’t help with your specific slot question but I can say that it’s a gamblers worst nightmare to always be chasing that next hit, the one they believe is going to cure all their woes.

I used to do it myself, oh can’t give up this week as I’m getting my free bet on Monday or my cash back on Monday from various sites, it’s all designed to keep you going, in the same way that these grind-style slots are.

 

i think there’s a more serious issue here than if you’re build up of hearts will still be there in 6-months mate. If you have the possibility of losing control (like I have too) and depositing your full wage, I’d say it’s time to give gamban/gamstop etc a try mate.

it’s not worth it if you are getting to the stage of a full wage going in, it will create far more long term issues for you mate.

Two months gamble free now ???

 

The second month has been a LOT easier than the first. Still getting urges all the time but nowhere near as strong. Dreading Cheltenham coming this month as I always have a good go on the horses that week but determined to stay off it. If I can get past Cheltenham there’s nothing to stop me long term.
