Slots have just moved to an extreme volatility culture. The good thing about this is, there is potential for huge and even sometimes life changing wins. The downside to this is, the vast majority of spins and sessions will result in a loss.
DoA2 is a prime example of this. It’ll either pay nothing or everything. I’ve had over 100 bonuses on it. 99 have paid under 100x, almost all under 10x, but one paid 16,000x.
Lower stakes is definitely favourable when playing these hyper extreme volatility slots, as odds are you’ll need a lot more spins to land something good.
I thought my gambling was under control and it had been for a long time until suddenly it wasn’t and I lost a grand over night.
I also signed up to Gamstop after losing a lot more than a grand in one session, major tilt on live roulette. But even when my gambling was “under control” I would estimate over a period of about 10-12 years it cost me easily £100k+. Pretty shocking when I’m only 33. Looking back now, it makes me very sad to think about how if I hadn’t done it, I’d have an excellent credit rating instead of one so bad payday loan sharks wouldn’t touch me and I’d be owning a house on a mortgage instead of renting.
I do envy the people who can stick £50 on the slots or whatever, play on tiny stakes, be happy when if they cash out £75 or just leave it for another month when it’s gone. I was never really one of those people. If I deposited £250, I’d have days where I cashed out £3000 but all that would happen most of the time is the next day I’d see that win as a licence to deposit a grand and play on higher stakes. All of it would always go in the end and sometimes that took a couple of days, sometimes I’d be well up for most of a month and feel like I had all the spare money in the world kicking around. Those times were good, I’d buy myself stuff I wanted – new tablet, new phone, clothes, trainers, takeaways. But yeah it never lasts.
I do miss playing, for all it cost me I really did enjoy slots but I can’t deny I’m financially better off staying away from it all.
I think all too many of us can relate to this.
Congratulations xbob! ??
Excellent gesture, Haz, thanks for doing this. 🙂
To be honest, I actually commented on his new thread saying most deserve a second chance. I was actually one of the first to call him out on his posts before his ban. I can’t say I like the guy, I think his attitude is awful.
I think an apology is needed from him to be honest. I’d like to see that he has changed. From his posts since coming back it doesn’t seem to be the case – I get the impression he still feels he has done nothing wrong.
More lucky, for sure.
I’ve never understood why Steve or others call a good bonus like this unlucky. I get that the potential was there for more, but we have to remember it’s a numbers game at the end of the day. What it boils down to is, 300x on a DHV bonus is excellent!
Is it bittersweet? Of course it is. Would I be a little gutted? Yeah! Because us gamblers always want more ? but unlucky? Mmm, not really. You were extremely lucky to have the start that you had in the first place, considering the first couple of spins are normally duds anyway.
I think most people deserve a 2nd chance. I’m sure he’s learnt his lesson (I hope!).
Great wins there from a £25 starting balance, dream run really. Did you only play Megaways games or anything else?
16th September 2019 at 5:38 pm in reply to: Lil’ Devil Technical Analysis – Best Symbol on Be My Angel & Heartstopper etc #80203I enjoyed this analysis, very insightful, thank you!
Do you have any insight at all in regards to the other bonus? For example, how many wilds are on each reel, or is it a random event? If so, how often, on average will it drop? Average chance of them connecting to a win? Average max multiplier by the end of the bonus?
I know these are slightly different to the insight you normally provide, but it’s worth asking!
This was very wholesome to read, I enjoyed that 🙂
There are good people out there!
1Turns our you all suck!
NFL Tomorrow –
Cardinals +13.5
Chargers win
Texans/Jags OVER 44.5
Cowboys -4.5
Enjoy!
When you say Cowboys -4.5 what do you mean?
I’ve got two players in my fantasy league in the Cowboys, Zeeks and Cooper, so I’m hoping they smash it ?
Steve has just released a single slot series on this already! Check out the homepage / his twitter.
I really like the look of this slot, not played it yet or seen Steve’s video, but it certainly looks like a slot I’d be interested in! Also definitely feels like DHV2. Final Countdown was too different really.
1Scratch cards mate really? You the maths man work in finance know the odds of everything and you buy scratch cards. Well i didn’t expect that.Haha, I know full well the return of them! A large portion of the proceeds goes to charitable causes so naturally the RTP is very poor.
BUT! I am stubborn, me and my friends used to buy them each week, and I never won a thing. I basically told myself I would continue until I won something half decent, and at least I’m contributing to good causes at the same time ?
Don’t get me wrong, scratchcards are utter shit and I literally never do the lottery as the payout model is beyond awful and unrealistic. But I only spend a few pounds each week or two!
Welcome to the forum bud. Definitely an interesting way of playing, I am as confused as the rest! Look forward to seeing what else you have in store.
P.s. I’ve been buying multiple scratchcards most weeks for the past few years, and am yet to hit anything significant. If and when I finally do, I’ll stop buying them. I’ve seen it as somewhat of a challenge now, so I’m committed. ?
