Oh dear… and that’s just Videoslots! I do play elsewhere too. That’s literally since my winning streak at the start of August ended. Haven’t managed a successful session since. I do miss having a good sesh. šŸ™

When i take a win out of the base game, say 2 scrolls on max stake goes for Ā£1,240 ā€“ i take it to the gamble and it loses first press. Do you think i have added that Ā£1,240 to the gamble ā€œpotā€? With it stating it pays out at 100%, is that just now waiting for me to fill it up before it spits it out? Is everyone filling it but only very few going all the way to take the spoils? The game fucks my head up i got to say lol

Haha a common misconception for sure! But nope, online slots (unless specifically stated) aren’t compensated like pub slots, they’re completely random.

So, for example, a 78% RTP pub slot is literally programmed to retain 22% over a lengthy period of time. It will adjust it’s wins and “fill” the pot (aka the hopper) accordingly to maintain this percentage.

Whereas, a 94% RTP online slot (Reel King is a prime example here), that RTP is theoretical, and is purely mathmatical based on the law of averages over a significant number of spins. It won’t adjust, or fill a pot, if it’s up or down, it just relies on hitting the desired RTP through maths. And long-term, itĀ willĀ reach it in almost every scenario. The 100% (true chance) gamble is exactly the same, it could be averaging 110% over a period of a few weeks, but in the long run it should always average out at 100%. It’s like if you were to flip a coin (fairly) a billion times. The number of heads and the number of tails would be astonishingly close, despite the expected high variance outcome due to the high quantity of spins.

So yeah, you could be rinsing Reel King on the gamble, like you have been doing, but no other players will be worse off for it.

It’s quite late, so I hope I’ve explained that well and not just rambled on like I usually doĀ ?

Ā£41k up in less than a week, that is absolutely insane. I actually don’t think I’ve seen anything like the sheer consistency of this in the slots world.

@biohazard ā€“ what games do you run mate? Iā€™m down Wolverhampton next week for a couple of days with work

Mondays at the Goose, Wednesdays at the Lych Gate Tavern and Sundays at the Royal London. 7:30pm for all. I have supervisors who run each one, I more oversee them these days, so I don’t attend every one! Each game is slightly different, depends what sort of feel you’re after. Lych is my personal favourite, and it’s also the most popular.

Yep that’s exactly right. With quantity, chances are you will hit the top eventually. Of course it’s even chance on a 94% RTP base, so you’ll always lose in the long run! That is, if you don’t Martingale it like Steve does, then you have a chance perhaps haha.

Captain Venture gamble ladder is similar, however the last gamble (to 1000x) is weighted accordingly. E.g. if you were on Ā£600 on a Ā£1 bet, and the top was therefore Ā£1000, you’d win 60% of the time. I think that’s right anyway, you get the gist.

Right, so it depends on the game.Ā When it indicates best strategy is when there is a genuine decision to be made at some point by the player. An example of this is on Deal or no Deal Go All The Way (the hint is in the name) to achieve the maximum RTP, you should continue throughout the bonus and gamble everything to get the top feature. That is the best strategy there.

Another example is Legend of the Pharaohs, where it offers you a choice of free spins upon a retrigger, and certain options will have a better theoretical RTP than others.

In the case of Reel King, the gamble is a true 50/50 gamble, meaning that the RTP is exactly 100% and therefore has no impact on the overall base game theoretical RTP of 94%. This is because you can only trigger the gamble via a win generated from the 94%. Hope this makes sense.

I’d 100% be down for this!

I run three games a week across Wolverhampton, I’d be more than happy to help run the home game if needed. I have plenty of TD experience!

That’s a lot of weight to lose in that space of time, it was a tough bet ;). 3 stone is great progress though! Keep it up.

Steam Tower is a bit of a weird one, it’s pretty low volatility so I probably wouldn’t recommend it if you’re big win hunting on a small stake. Best you can hope for is a full line of the dragon eye with a multiplier in the bonus, or topping the bonus and getting the jackpot payment (is it 250x on top of your bonus winnings? Can’t remember now).

I actually really like Videoslots way of doing the bonus. It’s certainly very different to other schemes, but it’s a way of unlocking a chunk at a time with no wagering once you receive it. Of course, it sucks if you go on a foul run from the start and don’t unlock any increments, that’s where the normal bonus funds are useful.

It’ll get easier bud. When I’ve had a long session of slots over a period of a few days or weeks, when I’ve finally come off it for a cooldown period for a few weeks, the first week or two are dreadful! Finding myself struggling to entertain myself, it’s a bit bizarre. You sort of get used to playing.

In terms of hobbies, only trial and error will tell you what you like and dislike. Ever considered a combat sport, like boxing? It’s something I took up not long ago after being a long-term fan of the sport, and I love it! Gives you a real thrill and keeps you in great shape.

Yep, sorry brizman, I saw the similarities and given JB’s history I had to askĀ ?

But argyl is right, when you didn’t start flinging abuse left, right and centre it became quite clear you must be different people.

All jokes aside, I think we’ll be having this great debate (RTP, random, corrupt etc.) forever!
