Sorry to hear this @argyl53. I know you’ve been on a hot streak in recent weeks as I’ve been following your posts on the forum. This time is always the most dangerous! As you said yourself, it feels like you can’t lose, and when the hot streak ends it can drain your bank account so fast it’s unreal. I was in the exact same boat earlier this summer – had a monster run of big wins, but continued going into September and lost a large chunk of it! Fortunately I had already put a good amount to good use.

I would highly recommend not upping the bet to £1 or above as another poster suggested. With your deposit sizing, you will barely even last a minute on those stakes.

Stick to what you’re comfortable with – just because you’re at max hive, doesn’t mean it’s going to release the swarm any time soon. It can take an absolute age!

And @6220mjones is spot on – the base RTP does significantly reduce during max hive stage, as confirmed by one of the developers of the slot.

Online slots aren’t compensated, so it literally doesn’t matter if you had a big win or a big loss last time you played a particular slot, it’ll still be a random outcome the next time!

Games like Wild Swarm, although they have a memory in terms of progress, there is actually no benefit in RTP terms to returning to play. What I mean by this is, Wild Swarm works by having a steady RTP until you max the swarm, then the base game RTP plummets until you trigger the swarm, then it resets and returns to normal. It doesn’t remember the number of bees, each individual bee has a random chance at triggering the swarm.

Da Vinci’s Treasure, Donuts & Wild Heist
No new slots really stand out to me as great, at least with my own experiences on them. These three are relatively new(ish) and have pretty solid gameplay. Even if Donuts is a nightmare to bonus, and to bonus over 10x…

Best overall slot
Fruit Warp, The Falcon Huntress & Laser Fruit
Fruit Warp has to be #1 for me, got an unbelievably positive RTP on it from nearly every single session, and I just love playing it! So unique. Falcon Huntress is beautiful, has a solid bonus game and is generally one of the more unique ‘book’ style games. Laser Fruit has crazy potential and I find it awfully fun to play, the bonus landing sound is so satisfying too for some reason!

Best feature
Captain Venture, Magic Mirror Deluxe II & Golden Fish Tank
Although I could quite easily pick the above three, as they all have great features, I went for a different approach. Captain Venture & Magic Mirror Deluxe II have crazy potential and are hard to bonus, so if I could pick any two bonus features to have instantly it’d be these. Golden Fish Tank is just great fun and has great potential also (I enjoy pick based bonuses!).

These are the only two I really use most of the time. Videoslots has an amazing range of slots, and the average cashback (races and weekend booster) are very fair. RTP tracking is also a huge plus! I’m a black card holder with Grosvenor Casino so I have some loyalty to them. Definitely my main choice for land-based gambling!

Worst slot
Buffalo Rising, Battleships Direct Hit & Gonzo’s Quest
God, I honestly hate all of these. Buffalo Rising I have had thousands upon thousands of spins without a bonus, and even when I have managed a bonus on the rare occasion, it has gone for less than 10x. Dreadful. Battleships Direct Hit, granted, I have only played a small amount of time on, but the pays are so bad it’s unreal. You are literally relying on hitting a jackpot, may as well buy a scratchcard! Gonzo’s Quest I’ve just found an absolute bore fest, with nothing decent coming out of it. I was surprised when Bandit managed that big win the other day!

This post has confused me – surely it’s exactly the same odds? There are six reels, and (normally) 3 scatters. Therefore there will always be (whilst there are 3 scatters and not more) two on one side and one on the other, and the proportion of these should be equal?

I personally would like to see less bonus buys! It’s becoming more common, and it really takes the point and fun away from the slot, at least for most slots. The only one I actually like buying the bonus on really is White Rabbit, and maybe Extra Chili or Vikings (but they’re far too dangerous for me so I stay away anyway).

I’d probably say Magic Mirror, if I had to pick one, purely because I find it an absolute arse to bonus!
