My last session of the week last night on Bonanza and I’ve just gone 1000 spins without a bonus and I’m now even on it this week so leaving it alone for another bash another time.
Your base game RTP was 59% which I can believe as I see that sort of return during bonusless base game play. The thing here is Theretical RTP. Now Bio is really the one to explain this but I’m guessing that the additional RTP you would have required to meet the RTP states in the Game Rules, would have come from a bonus or bonuses – but you didn’t get any of course so you’re stuck down at 59% relating to base game play. Of course there is nothing to say the bonuses you might have received would have boosted RTP to the Game Rules level, who knows a bonus or bonuses might have boosted you way into profit, giving you an RTP in excess of order 100% – we will never know. As Bio has said on many occasions however, RTP is calculated over the course did many millions of spins and your session, whilst a long and expensive one, does not come near to the level of play required to mirror Stateed RTP – no ones session can. We hope to get in a slot make a hit or hits and move on before it inevitably rinses us.
Feel for you though on that loss, it hurts I know.
I do t doubt this is your experience but not really identifying with it TBH. I play Bonanza a LOT. I have never waited more than 1000 spins for a bonus.
if I’m on it I can did in and out if the game. Today I dmhad a first spin bonus at 80p – went for 145x. That’s one of 6 or 7 bonuses today. I am up on the game over last 48 hours but some margin. Four or five bonus yesterday. All bonuses 60p to £2 stake across Bet365 and Casumo.
Played it one day last week and got 4 bonuses in the session and broke even. Couple of poor bonuses among them.
Still waiting for my big bonobos bonus hit – best so far 375x. Base game hits include 350x, 200x and a number in the 150x region.
Nice! A bit obvious but topical as a new trailer is out today on YouTube ‘Game of Thrones’
1Really poor form of Videoslots to do this and not inform the players, I was doing a reload bonus last week and luckily cashed out.
I won’t be putting another penny of mine into this casino until I hear exactly what is happening. It’s a bit like imposing a tax on someone and not telling them about it. It is clear that Videoslots, is the first operator to mitigate a higher online casino tax of 21% in the UK by passing it onto the customer.
We’re on the same page and as a fellow Gooner I’d expect nothing less! Just a bit perplexed that there isn’t a little more indignation about this subject – are we all so used to losing that it doesn’t matter what the RTP is?
Dropping from 96% to 94% RTP means that, theoretically, if you were to wager (not deposit) £1,000 (1,000 x £1 spins) you could expect to have a resultant balance of £940, rather than £960. But this is not realistic.
The realistic outcome is going to be much worse than that for the average player. It is very difficult to meet theoretical RTP over just a thousand spins. You would need to do millions and millions of spins before you can accurately assume to meet this level. The provider will dictate exactly where they have shaved off this RTP in relation to the payouts and frequency of wins.
I would hazard a guess that they wouldn’t want to disrupt the high volatility meta that slots currently have these days, so that would mean (most likely) the odds of winning a bonus, or the more achievable wins, will be cut to meet this new RTP level. What does this mean? It means you will be much more likely to go bust from your starting balance than before.
Thanks Bio, and that’s how you maintain profitability in the face of rising taxation. It’s lazy decision making in my opinion and could damage their reputation in the sector, it already has with me! So in short, out our money doesn’t last as long, fewer features to enjoy, lower returns when they do come – a one way ticket to bust town
So here’s my reply from Videoslots. Am I missing something! Isn’t this RTP change pretty seismic? This is a major kick in the balls for all slots players – isn’t it? Perhaps Bio could demonstrate the impact of a 94% RTP against a 96% RTP over day 1,000 spins. Or is it as simple as getting £2 less back per £100 staked?
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
I’m sorry to hear you feel that way. You are, of course, welcomed to select the casino that fits you the best.
What comes to the change of the RTPs, I’m afraid that they are permanent unless something new arises with the taxation. We will inform our customers if any changes are coming in the future.
If you have any questions or thoughts you are most welcome to contact our Support, we are available at any given time.

Don’t know what you were expecting, i emailed VS when they changed all the wagering etc… The reply was pretty much the same, if you don’t like it then do one to another casino.
Which i will, the disdain they have for customers who create there profits is unbelievable.
Yeah, I got exactly what I expected. They should be careful however, it’s a very competitive space and things change – VS might be top of the pile today but nothing lasts forever particularly in a service industry where you treat your customers like mugs.

Videoslots Ltd1Just to say that posting v late at night I contributed to this discussion in a new topic, didn’t realise this was a specific topicals thought ways general chat as was just clicking around, otherwise would have replied in here
In addition I have emailed VS as follows;
Hello, you have reduced your slot RTP’s markedly. This is hugely disappointing. I understand that this is due to increased taxation. However, I hope that this a decision will prove to be very bad for your bottom line (it probably won’t but I hope it will). It is hard enough to win as a player as it is. You know this. Only the compulsive will tolerate FOBT RTP in their online play. Please look again at this decision and find other ways to meet the demands of the taxman – do not let accountants run your business — you have taken the easiest decision but not necessarily the right decision in this instance. I’m afraid that I will not be playing at Videoslots whilst I can still get better RTP’s with reputable companies elsewhere. I welcome a reply. Regards.
‘Just Basics’ a Ken Loach film, from the team that brought you Kes, comes an everyday story of an ordinary British working man who finds himself in an extraordinary situation. Boy meets girl, girl is Albanian prostitute with heart of gold, girl wants British passport, boy marries girl under threat of fatal violence, boy starts business with undisclosed sum from mystery source, boy divorces girl, everybody lives happily ever after. The End.

1I used to play my slots at BetVictor but had my account severely restricted for playing Horse bets they didn’t like and einning just a bit too often – eway doubles people! Just make sure you mix it up with sufficient mug bets to stay under the radar. So having had that happen I don’t play their casino in principle. Bet365 for Sports can’t be beaten. Slots wise I’m at Bet365 and Videoslots. I prefer Bet365 because I trust the brand, 24 hour payouts regular as clockwork but, and this is a but – I self excluded from Casino at Bet365 about 10 years ago – when I asked them last year to reinstate my Casino account I asked them for a Welcome back bonus only to be told that won’t be happening as they have a policy of not offering any form of bonus or incentive to customers who have at some time self excluded – sure enough, in 9 months or so I’ve not had so much as a free spin out of them!
11st March 2019 at 6:19 am in reply to: What Forum Members Do You Reckon You Could Beat In A Fight? #51799I left it a while before venturing into this thread and what a strange other worldly conversation I find! To be clear I’ve always been a lover not a fighter! I made sure I was the school comedian at my sometimes terrifying Comprehensive and on more than one occasion got a ‘leave him, he’s alright’ beating pass. So in short I won’t be fighting anyone – least of all Hacko1 whose photos terrify me – both of them! ?
