I do believe that on my 48th Birthday that’s the first Grand National Winner I’ve ever backed. Happy days.
Hello,
yeah I understand about locking in and trading rather than gambling.
The biggest issue I’m going to have is finding an edge due to not currently following a sport. I thought I found a strategy about 2 days ago on the greyhounds but since then have lost on it lol!
I’m not looking to go full time from it, (unless I find some mega money) just a top up on the wages.
With all due respect I think you’ve got to understand the sport you trade in so you can know when to go against the flow and with out that knowledge you will still be looking to just get a bit lucky,
Like I said, I could talk about this for hours but if I were you I’d practice with very low level stakes on Under/Over goal markets and you could always do simple trades like backing a favourite when they go behind, Good luck.
I currently do matched betting though profit accumulator.
After about 1.5 years I’m over £11k in profit and still growing everyday.
im now TRYING to learn how to trade on Betfair but not having much luck, I’ve bought a book written by Caan Berry. So I’m going to read that then look at buying some videos.
Hi Apple,
I trade on BF. My biggest tip for anyone starting is that you have to realise that you’re not betting, you’re trading. It took me ages to get this into my head but when I did it reaped benefits.
For example. I was on +4.5 in the Man City game against Cardiff, obviously City went 1-0 quite early on.
To someone having a bet that’s a good start, you think you’re probably going to win so you let the bet run.
To someone trading, they cashed out after 12 minutes to take a 40% profit.
I aim to make a profit 2-5% of my bank roll a day on average.
I could talk about this stuff for hours but the last bit of advice I will give you is to know your sports, I have 25 years worth of knowledge betting on World soccer and it provides a few edges.
It’s all good now, Andy. My main and probably unclear point is the humiliation for an older type of bloke to take a selfie with his driving licence. My account got verified and I received my withdrawal.
If I could be bothered, and I’m not, I’d question you about GDPR but I suppose the days are coming when you are going to have to provide photographic ID for almost everything. 1984 and all that.
The majority of the time we will request it at the 2k mark, when your account deposits, withdraws or a combination of both amount to this total, as set out by the UKGC. That is not the only time we can or do request it, we will request if there is a case of multiple accounts, 3rd party payment methods have been used, if you fail to come up on the initial checks that the system carry’s out on account creation to be able to verify your of legal age, if a device fingerprint is used on more than one account, IP addresses linked to more than one account, multiple accounts in one house and that is to name a few of the reasons that it may have been requested early (pre 2k). As long as your account is created with legitimate details and you have the documents that you know we are going to request at some point there is never going to be a problem, and yes we do have a poor guy in the corner checking accounts! The only part of that you got incorrect is there is more than one of them, there is a team!
Andy, hello.
I’ve been mucking about with Casumo for ages now, when the verification request came through I thought “no problem, I have a folder with all my docs, I’ll whack that over and get verified in a couple of days” – I just thought asking for a photo holding up my ID to my ugly mug was a bit humiliating and somewhat out of order. I accept I maybe old school but I know the UKGC do not require you to do this.
I’ve played through about 3.5K with you guys, my net deposits with you is £46.10 – I play from one IP and no one in the house has a Casumo account other than me so I’m going to remain cynical. That said, Casumo is a good Casino and thanks for being on BIAM.
I’m over the moon, that’s like the 2nd raffle I’ve won in 48 years of life 🙂
I got 5th prize on Videoslots!
However, ha ha, the email they have for me is [email protected] and not the one I’ve registered here with.
If you read this, Steve, apols, I got pissed one night and locked myself out of my BIA account so registered a new one, so if you get to read this sorry for the extra work.
Cheers and thanks
David
Yeah, placed it when Ollie took over and they’d won four on the trot or whatever.
I’m still a bit annoyed with them 🙂
Cash out is only £6.00!
I’d totally forgotten about it until they beat PSG.
Ha ha, I was so annoyed I’ve sent them the selfie, they’ve gone quiet now……
Overall it’s been a positive experience but to me it just doesn’t feel right anymore.
Game over.
I’ve had the account for ages and all of sudden when I want to make a withdrawal they wan’t to see a photo of me? They can tell from my stakes I’m a low level non-degenerate player and they have the audacity to tell me that a photo is part of the UKGC regulations when I know for a fact it isn’t
I have a £5 ew on Man Utd to win the CL with them, 40/1 – when Barca beat them I will close the account, f**k these guys.
