Mildly ironic as I was just looking at my first thread for ages and some poor unfortunate who foolishly made an adverse comment about one of the bandits videos was immediately called a “wanker”, told to GTFO and to make sure he shut the door on the way out.

Some nice guys on this forum, but the atmosphere can get pretty toxic, especially if you dare to even made the slightest criticism of the owner of the site.   He’s a nice guy, but he is not “God” contrary to what seems to be popular opinion.

How about people be allowed to make comments without being called a wanker purely because they didn’t like a certain video or stance.   The Bandit started this site to promote healthy debate and discussion, not to promote a cult of scientology where every one has to march in file shouting out “one of us, one of us”

To be honest I didn’t even watch it – As soon as I saw the warning I knew he would go in big, lose large and then recover it all – he always does.

My recollection is that we agreed to go halves on the winnings if it comes in.   I don’t recall any discussion about sharing the loss if it doesn’t but I have a really bad memory for things like that 🙂

Yes i agree they most likely don’t care if it fills there pockets. Again this may seem obvious too you as the poster but at 1st read we can only make our own assumptions on the post. If i am honest my 1st thoughts were this was a chat was between you and a casino live chat agent. Have since found out this is not the case but i hope you can see how at 1st glance how it might come across that way.

Yep, I drew that conclusion pretty early, and I think some people still don’t realise it.  In summary it wasn’t Mr B being a total dick to worker, it was just a cut and paste from the internet

No disrespect to Mr B, but he gets a bit deep into it sometimes and people have difficulty drawing out the point of the thread.  That’s not because Mr B is dumb or his readers are obtuse, its just a different way of interpreting things.   Which then generates confusion, anger and conflict as every side thinks the other side is taking a pop at them 🙁

@Groundiskey.  You clearly know a lot about horse racing and I need a new outlet now that roulette is gone and I don’t like football

Someone once told me to bet on the second or third favourite e/w as the prices are better and they have a decent chance

so the question is, is there such a thing as an E/W treble, what does it cost and does that strategy rank right up there with a bet on Hitler winning the Second World War or is it feasible

@Dune2000 how do, in the past I was eager to make a ton of money fast and I used to do that sort of bet adding 3 or more horses to a betting slip, but a lot of the time found that one of the horses would miss the places and the bet would lose.

Now a days I do single win or single each way bets for me it’s the better option, although saying that I do place the odd each way double from time to time.

There’s money to be made from Tennis match betting, in particular the qualifiers stages.
I look for a match to be played where the odds are pretty even for either player to win, then I’ll jog over to flashscores website find the match get info on it and look at the players seeding and bet on the player who has the better seeding to win.
7 out of 10 times you’ll have a winner, the odds won’t be huge most likely around Evens money.

Thanks for that, that makes sense, might look into it – wouldnt make much, but it makes the game interesting, and evens is still double the money 🙂

It truly does come across as if the industry doesn’t give a flying [bleep]. I mean, they don’t.

Not sure it is there problem or whether it actually should be.   That sounds harsh, but fast cars cause road deaths, fast food causes obesity and diabetes, alcohol causes liver damage, tobacco causes inestimable damage.

It’s all out there for the taking, where do you stop child minding.

Once people strode the world like giants, inventing, exploring and if they screwed up they took it on the chin.  These days if they trip over a crack in the pavement because they weren’t looking where they were walking they immediately scream whose fault was that, it wasnt mine

If people want to gamble, gamble – if they don’t want to gamble, don’t gamble.   But they need to take responsibility for their actions and stop taking the modern approach of looking for someone else to blame.   Sure it’s an illness like alcoholism and drug addiction, there is help out there.

If they don’t decide to avail themselves of that help, that is their choice, but taking the easy way out as, everyone will be sorry when I’m gone, is not the answer, and it certainly isn’t the fault of a service provider – its personal choice and the responsibility lies squarely with them.

Got a few mates helping me out and off to a beer garden after if the weather stays nice.

I asked in the bookies what the odds were on Liverpool beating Spurs 2-0 and they said 6-1, never placed a football bet in my life and now I;m an expert L0(    Seemed pretty grim odds for a score forecast and they certainly seem favourites

Thanks for the advice. It’s weird in a way cos i feel like i have to have a big loss to re sign if i come off gamstop. I’d rather lose £500 in one hit then self exclude instead of losing £50 a week for a year making 2.5k loss. You’d probably say why lose the £500 in the first place and stay on gamstop but i know how i am and how my mind works. It’s like i have to justify it if that makes sense. If i leave it as is it will eat at me knowing i could come off it at anytime. I suppose maybe best option would be to extend the ban. I’ve gambled practically it feels like all my life and i know I’ll never give up but I’m trying to be wise. I suppose it’s damage limitation in a way.

I totally empathise – the big wins are actually the worst, because I would be in there the next night to win again, but lose, and then go back the next day because I wanted to win back the money I had won and lost – if that makes sense.

Its only after a real kick in the nuts that I would stay out of them for a while as the memory was raw.   The funny thing is that the lesson never sticks in your brain – which is why gamban is a good idea, its a constant reminder everytime you try to log on

I’m on gamestop for about another 5 weeks and having very similar thoughts. At the minute i feel I’m in a good place with my gambling and only had one bad session in an arcade in 6 months. That’s good for me. I would love to play again just what i can afford to lose on low to medium stakes but i just don’t trust myself as I’m very much an all or nothing person. I just wonder whether I’ve been better these last few months solely because the opportunity has been taken away. For me if it’s impossible to play i don’t really have the urge. I’ve only had the odd fiver or tenner in my mates account for the poker tournaments arranged on here. That’s it. It doesn’t take much to tilt me so I’m very much undecided at the minute. So i know exactly where your coming from.

I wish I could count the amount of times I have not gambled for a couple of weeks, thought right I have it under control I’ll just go in and have a quick £20, flash forward 30 minutes and I am £500 deep.  If you think there is even a remote chance you are going to get savaged just stick with the gamstop.

The problem is that once it is in the slot it is just numbers on the screen – I know if the opportunity hadn’t been taken away from me today I would have now been sitting here feeling like shit wondering why I went in to the bookies.   Most gamblers are all or nothing people, they win £300 and want to turn it into £3000 and then turn that into £30000

Most of the time we turn it into £0 🙂

Happy days man I’ve seen people lose so much on the fobts I’m glad they’ve finally made a positive change, sadly for me it’s the 20p slots that I’m addicted to lol

On a side note dune I wanna apologise for having a pop at you a little while ago turns out your like a fine wine.. You get better with time ?? so I take it back your a good dude

Likewise, you seem a decent guy who has had a pretty shitty life to date.  Sure as hell hope it works out for you, the way I look at things, you can’t turn back time and if you could you wouldn’t be the person you are today, you could end up as someone worse.

Life deals us all blows and we just have to take them on the chin and get on with it, sometimes life is shitty but its the only one we get (unless you believe in re-incarnation and with my luck I will come back as a small kitten living next door to a chinese restaraunt 🙂  )

Those 20p spins dont seem much but they can eat you alive, especially when you get a Rise of Anubis bonus after 200 spins and it pays 40p – if I ever meet that dog faced asshole I am going to go out of my way to take him to the vets for a very painful neutering session, involving his balls and two bricks 🙂

    Hi Steve,

I noticed on your latest Grosvenor casino video that you had a lot of play points.

In case you are not aware, these are being cancelled tomorrow.

100 play points is £1 of real cash. If memory serves me right, you had around 5500 play points, which is

£550 of real cash that you can collect or gamble.

I hate the thought of you losing all that hard earned extras!

    mike

OMFG, how the hell can they justify that.  I can understand stopping them, but just cancelling them is seriously shitty, especially in the bandits case.

Hi guys was just wondering how many spins on donuts you have gone with out a bonus? I just spun 475 spins with out a sniff. I think I had probably 10 teases that’s all. I probably will never play that game again.

If you do actually get the bonus expect 23 dead spins and 10x 🙂

Someone out there will know (eejit?) but I always get the feeling like many that big stake bonuses are capped to protect the casino.

I have never seen a 20,000x on £10  stakes, although as people say it might because fewer people are playing at this stake
