Also there’s a lot more motivation for me to avoid drugs
The drug dealer on the street corner doesn’t email, text, advertise on the radio and telly 24/7 he sends the odd shotta text once or twice a week and its easy to silence those.. I did move cities in order to change my lifestyle
LOL at shotta text – great film.even if I couldn’t understand a word they were saying 🙂
29th April 2019 at 8:10 pm in reply to: Caring casinos, do they really exist and how do they care ? #63382No I don’t have a problem with drugs anymore but I do still struggle with gambling so you raise a good point although the urge is still there it’s just easier to avoid I supposeYep.you can use gamstop, gamblock and bar yourself from every casino and bookies in the area.
But the drug dealer on the street corner doesn’t have any code of practice, I’ve never touched drugs or tobacco in my life, but I have been offered them on a number of street corners from total strangers.
I must just look like a drug user 🙂
For sure buddy, I’m not touching it, dont want to give them a reason to not process the rest of it.
Make sure you keep us posted 🙂
The problem is that many people have no clue about the job but just assume they know everything. For one I can’t serve alcohol after we shut as a premise licence dictates the times you are allowed to sell alcoholSeen it so many times when I have popped into a shop late for milk or something. Some asshole screaming at the poor girl behind the counter because he can’t buy alcohol. If the deadbeat is that desperate for a drink at half eleven at night that he has to take it out on a young girl the loser needs to save his money and pay for a taxi to alcoholics anonymous.
Personally I would issue all shop staff with a cattle prod that they could use on wankers like that
Glad it worked for you – I just went on a casino review site to see what was said about them, and they weren’t even listed among the 1394 casino’s reviewed at Ask Gamblers. They must be pretty far down the food chain.
They are just holding onto that cash in the hope you cancel your withdrawal. Stay strong, that £12k is probably a once in a life time occurrence, buy something good with it, don’t spunk it back into the slots.
stop depositing for a while and way h the bonuses roll in, they don’t give a crap about you while you are depositing, if they think they have lost your custom they will try to entice you back
If you work for a certain buisness. And you knowingly and 100% willingly agree to fuck people over. You then deserve what comes with making that choiceYep, you have made that point on numerous occasions and pretty much everyone on this forum disagrees with your point of view.
I think it’s way past time we moved on from this point
29th April 2019 at 12:37 pm in reply to: Caring casinos, do they really exist and how do they care ? #63283You go on to claim you really care about the loved ones of a suicide, yet you sold them the rope. You’ve hypothesized yourself into a hypocritical stance. You are ignoring the main point, I got a good price for it, and also got it back at the end as he didn’t need it anymore 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Proppa wankers some of you. I just said fuck it il politely agree to dissagree. And 3 of you pricks just bait me again.
Im done here. BYE
In honesty JB I didn’t see the agree to disagree post so sorry if I was one of the 3 pricks
I’m not sure if I am one of them but to be honest I don’t care :-). I expressed my honest viewpoint, if that makes me a prick so be it, disagreeing with an individuals point of view and expressing it does not constitute baiting, it is merely vocalising an opposing point.
29th April 2019 at 5:43 am in reply to: Caring casinos, do they really exist and how do they care ? #63221Casinos are not there for entertainment. I’ve been thinking about this and i strongly believe these high volatile games are almost impossible to play for entertainment purposes. These games can still take up to £100 pound an hour on as little as 20p stake. So tell me who can afford to lose £100 pounds an hour cos i can’t. I’m beginning to believe there is no possible way to play a slot for entertainment without risking a decent amount of money unless your prepared to play for about 5 mins and that’s hardly entertaining. Roulette is worse as i class the game as the quickest way to win and lose in gambling. Entertaining gambling is putting a £5 acca on that gives you 90 minutes of fun or a 50p lucky 15 or a £1 placepot. Playing slots is impossible to play for entertainment without the risk of losing a substantial amount of money and that is exactly why people ended up doing their balls in. Why because they lose so fast and they feel they haven’t had their fix of game time so they re deposit and again until they get into chase mode and been tilted. These games are now designed to do that. The quicker we lose the more likelihood we will put more money in. The designers of these games are very clever and they know what makes us tick.I coun’t agree more Haz, and what you highlight here has been highlighted so many times on the forum, and is of immeasurable benefit. For people like myself who don’t gamble online the stories here are persistent reinforcement of why that is a good choice.
So many stories of people putting £500 and upwards in and losing it in an hour without a solitary bonus – you can get an overseas weekend break for that and come back happy, instead of an hour in front of a screen with the gut wrenching feeling that you shouldn’t have done that at the end.
As you say, the casino’s know what makes you tick, this is why we have this endless stream of megaways, which enable you to pump in £100’s at 20p stake because you just know the big hit that streamer got is going to happen to you. And then you are so deep in that you have to continue to get that money you couldn’t afford to lose back, or because you have let it become personal
Entertainment is 100’s of movies online for £6.99 a month, not £500 in an hour watching reels spin on a computer 🙂
But each to their own – its a big world and we are not all the same.

29th April 2019 at 5:17 am in reply to: Caring casinos, do they really exist and how do they care ? #63219It’s hard to police problem gambling, if jenny drinks 5 pints and then glasses the barmanYou have clearly been to Glasgow 🙂
Pretty much a glorious session on everything played. Fair play to The Bandit he says at the end, “this doesn’t happen all the time, don’t expect to win, paying for entertainment”, except I’m not sure that’s trueYep, there is now a perception that it does happen all the time – as you say, fair play to the bandit and I hope he continues to win, the video’s don’t interest me any more, I just use the slider to see what is being played, but I am pleased for him, not least that he uses some of the money to help people out.
But I would certainly say don’t do this at home, not least as most of you are not going to hit the top as you need the money and are going to bail out way before that level 🙂
1The bookies and casinos have very high staff turnover because staff see the realities and quit. If you choose to work for a company that purposefully spreads misery and destitution in the guise of “responsible gambling”, you can reap what you sow. In virtually all cases this is misery heaped upon anger and frustrationI’m not sure that’s all true Gunner, I think you will find that the high staff turnover is more a result of the miserable conditions these guys have to work in, sat behind glass booths taking abuse and threats of violence from punters who think it’s their fault that No 8 didn’t come in on the roulette machine, or that their horse fell at the last fence while in the lead.
If there is one thing I have learned from too many years visiting bookies it is that they attract far more low life violent scumbags than your average Marks and Spencers store 🙂 Unfortunately the chats they get with the nice guys you get in their don’t balance out your 3rd threat of a punch in the mouth that day.
129th April 2019 at 4:50 am in reply to: Caring casinos, do they really exist and how do they care ? #63216Honestly, what use are you to a problem gambler if you don’t give a shit about them ? No point you being in the debate.Ah I see your problem, you think I work for the Samaritans. Yep it’s a shame when a problem gambler committs suicide, but I don’t cry crocodile tears over them. People die of starvation all over the world, they die from warfare and disease etc etc, all problems outside of their control
So please don’t ask me to waste my time worrying about some guy who has decided to wallow in self pity and end it all, that was his personal choice, he decided not to man up and take responsibilities for his own actions and deal with his shit. The tired old “they’ll be sorry when I’m gone”
Newsflash to all those thinking of suicide due to gambling – “They” wont be sorry when you are gone, within a couple of months only your immediate family will even remember you even existed, they are the ones who suffer, the ones will will have to deal with the aftermath of your shit, and the ones I feel sorry for.
