Sorry but that is absolute bullshit. If it was so important and used to stop the criminal activities you mentioned it would be written in legislation, it isn’t. It is a ridiculous thing to ask for, they have more than enough when they verify to cover themselves against what you mentioned.

It is? Ever read the MGA and UKGC requirements?

Kindly point me to the part that says you must send a selfie picture in with your passport?

It states within all reasonable means of required proof. That means… a passport with you in it. Ive sent this exact thing to 4 casinos. All 4 approved me. Bandit likes throwing his toys out about things like this, and thats his choice.

However – as he also affiliates for, and represents a vast majority of UK players, as much as he doesnt know it, he influences alot. And his opinions on this are wrong. I have the only view in the forum of someone who likes bandit, we grew up in the same town, and i work in igaming. I know what companies do, the fines, the UKGC up the ass restrictions, and most of all, the dodgy side. Part of 9/11 was financed through illegal money movement, part casino based. Malta is FULL of people trying to bend the rules. The UK has the right idea, legal the shit out of it and make it harder.

For anyone to actually send a selfie is easy. Itll take 2 mins max. For a terrorist to? Not possible. Put it this way, each time you do tis, you save someones life. Probably true.

why on earth does a casino need to know what someone looks like? I’m baffled by that

They dont. They need to show its you in the pic. As you can steal ID or fake a name. And as you can deposit by prepaid card and vouchers, its the safest way.

Look, honestly – the only people upset about this are the ones who either play illegally, have no ID, or just dont like being asked for shit that frustrates them. Bandit will send it 100%. Probably already has. He knows he has to to keep ReelKing going on another site. If they wanted to ban him they can. At any time. For any reason. They have to pay him but they can close his account. All casinos can do this. Or limit his bets. But they wont as he gets other people playing there. He is up 300k lifetime. From his affil. links there is more than 300k profit for Casumo and dunder im sure.

So he will remain. As he should.

Firstly – I agreew ith most of what Bandit says, but this I have mixed feelings.

Working in iGaming, even in Malta, you see the need for these kinds of things. Steve, with his recent increased levels of deposits, will be flagged up on every system of anything from VIP, SuperWhale, Jesus, or “Fuck me he is back”.

What you need to know if each year casinos also have to pay tax. They have to submit reports on large depositors to regulators, licencing companies and such. In these reports are listed that they comply fully with AML checks, KYC submission, holding of documents, GDPR and DPA.

So short version – Its sending a selfie that enable you to gamble the amount that you do, in the comfort that you have, and reap the rewards that hardly anyone else has the balls, or brains, to figure out. In return they guarantee your wins, payouts, insured funds, and also pay you on time.

Id just do it and get on with it.

However – Them asking the poster above for a letter form the boss? Thats odd. Why not just send in the simple Passport/BankCard/UtilityBill/WageSlip?

As for source of funds – without that casinos become drug money laundering operations REAL fast. They get shut down daily globally and its a mess. To operate legally you need this.

I know as you work in the industry you feel you must defend places on stuff like this but i’m sorry mate, it’s ludicrous that they ask for a selfie – there is a very clear photo of me on the actual passport, it’s not like it’s some easily attainable crappy ID card now is it.

Thats not why i defend it. Yes it may have your pic but they dont know what you look like. Coud put over a pic of Ryan Gosling and they wouldnt know. So i defend it not because i work there, but if you see what people move money to accomplish through caisnos (Drugs, terrorism, immigration, illegal takeovers) then it makes 100% sense

I’ve checked and it’s a Source of Wealth request. My deposits in March were twice my verified monthly income so they want my to demonstrate where the money has come from. Obviously a lot of that is recycled from withdrawals.

Send them bank statement for the month highlighting the withdrawals from other places, they have to accept it as gambling income is an income. Anything else they ask for they dont need.

Unless you took money from friends or family in that time… then they will ask for more, as it looks like borrowing to gamble. The joys of “gamcare”

I have sent in Driving Licence and payslip plus utility bill, selfie with bank card, colour picture of bank card etc as part of verification- but apparently my level of deposits now requires KYC additional verification- this list of acceptable stuff is a bit odd for example I could provide a letter from a benefactor! I don’t have the list to hand but the letter from my company seems the easiest to provide but I am wary for the reasons above stated

Thats weird. Obviously I dont know your level of deposits, but im guessing 5 figures monthly for this type of range of requests.

However – if you are UK based and playing on the UK site then source of wealth, ID, address and the required info they already have is more than enough (I work in iGaming so I know).

    The worst is sizing.

Once spin size goes up, wins get bigger. After i hit the 20k on White rabbit in December, i won 3k the next week on Genie Jackpots, pulse didnt even move. Crazy.

I have limited myself im my own ways so I wont go mad, but the amount you earn as you move up really can make it risky when the stakes rise. Ive seen people on payday here lose 5k in 1 hour on 20quid novo spins. And then go back to life with nothing. Mental.

Also please dont say as a slot paid nothing for thousands of spins when you get a bonus it’s not fair it pays low or 0. That’s impossible. Each spin is independent. You could lose 10000 in a row. Then win a penny.

I’ll respond on behalf of the gambling industry.

Many reasons. It makes people stay longer. It shows volatility. It’s hard to program in a min win without affecting overall rtp and payouts.

Mostly – psychology. The longer people chase the more providers make. Simple.
