I meant to update this ages ago.

 

So about a week after this thread was made the old lady was sectioned or something I think as she was being picked up by ambulances in a confused state twice a day

 

The traveller guy problem sorted itself out a few days later. No joke he turned up on a horse and cart with his girlfriend and told me he was moving to a campsite in Somerset and Ive not heard from him since.. Probably not his smartest move though as now the police are now hunting him for skipping community service but to quote guy richies film snatch “you won’t find a pikey who doesn’t wanna be found” ?

He’s had 2k mate then says don’t know what to do next and says fuck this and what’s the point. What does that imply? People know I’m one of the first to help as you are also but he’s had his second chance. He should of used that money for a month’s deposit plus a month’s rent leaving a few ton to get things for his home. Who in their right mind decides to spend it on a cruise knowing full well they have nowhere to live when they get home.

That’s what I was suggesting I didn’t realise it was spent on a cruise, that’s pretty mental. also if 250 is a regular deposit then your wage must be over a month’s rent and deposit for a bedsit or something, when I was working full time (part time atm) I’d have been left with fuck all after bills n shit if <span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>I dumped 1/5 of my whole wage into a casino </span>

Sorry to hear about your situation mate, you still working? As a bedsit although not ideal is better than a car and a lot of private landlords will let you pay half deposit on moving in then the other half with the next month’s rent, that’s what I did to move in here, it cost me £750 to get in then another 750 the following month then 500 normal rent.. What did you spend the money Bandit gave you on?

Yeah I just had a look and got the same thing, unfortunately I have the worst credit going, can’t even get a tenner pay day loan or a twenty quid overdraft ? I spent a long time making silly choices

 

I wonder if theres a way to do it through someone else like my sister or something, like have her get the loan and then I replace her as director once it’s done.. Not sure if that’s possible though lol

Just looked at that Ice Cream thing out of interest

a new ice cream van can cost upwards of £60,000, a five year old one averages about £12,000, a new trailer might cost around £10,000 and a trike or cart might be as low as £3,000.  Then you have to add in the trading permit and the start up capital for your stock, along with somewhere to store it.  It’s also pretty seasonal

Good money to be made in the summer depending on competition, in your area I am guessing it is pretty steep and it only takes a couple of rainy days to completely screw your calculations over

Problem is always the start up capital in any business though and the need to continue paying bills while you generate income.  Do you have a specific skill which you could not so much sell to a boss but use to sell stutf.

Another alternative is franchises, although yet again you have to have the money to throw up front.

I found a site that sells the peddle trike things for a grand but then it’s the other costs like you say which could fuck me like licencing and everything.. I’m hoping to have around 3k potentially more if I can raise a bit from family and stuff, it’s funny I get nervous about the thought of risking 3k on a business but I easy play that a few times over on casinos each year lol
