My sister’s dog got dehydrated as a puppy and went all floppy at the beach. hydrating fluid and an hour in the vet cost £140, luckily she’s really good with money and barely noticed but I thought fuckk me 140quid to inject some water

 

I’m so glad that this happened and although I was unable to donate I feel really proud to have been part of the initial thread that set it all up, well done guys (especially andy) what an amazing thing to come out of a gambling forum x

yes I agree the bandit does more than he needs to to promote responsibility when gambling.

I was just pointing out that bandits  videos do not have a general restriction on them which in a way I love as it’s the only way my work Wi-Fi let’s me watch them.

The win unfortunately.. I think that’s what separates the problem gamblers from not.. by the time it hits my bank I’m just looking forwards to gamble with it again in the hope of the big win serotonin rush i had before..

Yea good point man that isn’t even gambling related like sports.. I think it’s a similar tactic as putting a bookie or two in every council estate but none in affluent areas, when your on a low income a prize 10fold your bank account is far more appealing and with respect I don’t imagine the majority of full time jezza veiwers  are the most well off. It’s a no better than smack dealers like Englishguy says “first ones free but once your hooked we’ll rinse ya”

Ive suffered quite terribly with anxiety and depression for years and i did what you should never do. I escaped reality. It started with weed and beer as a way of escape but that soon spiralled into a whole list of self destructive behaviours gambling being the worst and carried on for years.. everytime i sank all my money into a casino or drank till I was sick I would never care as in my mind death/suicide was just around the corner so fuck it… then I got so into drugs and drink that I lost all control over everything and would spend days or weeks totally wasted, i ended up in a coma after totalling a van during a black out. After that near death experience I started to realise how sacred life is and began to change, I still have problems but I’m so much better now (still drink smoke and gamble but all in moderation and nothing more) but my advice is to do as you’ve done and talk to people, don’t bottle it up and self medicate with things that feel like escape like I did.. unless you want to end up scarred and broken with a dicky arm and a constant craving like me.

The worst part is I come from the most supportive family and if I had just spoken to them instead of trying to cope alone all of that would never have happened.

Sorry for the sob story but I do feel it’s important to mention as sometimes escaping seems like the only thing to do but it truly is short term gain for long term pain.

I’ve had the same thing happen too it’s an absolute bastard there’s only a couple of places that don’t do it these days I know play ojo don’t and rizk definitely didn’t as I hit a 9p wild line on DOA FOR £187 from the tiny amount I won from 10 free spins on starburst lol and they payed out no problem but it was a few years ago now lol

I’ve found video games or mobile games help a lot especially when you get like a rank or something you start getting a little buzz when you go up a level or overtake one of your mates

I’m not a proper gamer or anything but it does keep your mind busy and is far cheaper lol

it depends on how much you’ve stolen and your criminal history really dude, im not a thief but i know a few and 3 people who have been caught stealing from their employer

 

the first dude built up a stupid amount of credit card debt as a maths student then when he got a job as an accountant defrauded them of 12k 4k he was caught for and 8k he later admitted he recieved 2yrs in prison suspended for 12months and had to pay back 4k

the second dude was a drug addict who stole around 2k from a corner shop he worked at, he got a slap on the wrist and had to pay back half, due to addiction and character references i think

the third matey worked for an arcade and fiddled the machines to only notice 10% of the money going in, he got 200hours community service and had to pay back a grand because there was no way of telling the exact amount and he was a problem gambler which they did take into account

 

hope that helps mate, also with all the police cuts it can take months, i crashed a car pissed last jan (stupid as fuck i know) and wasnt arrested formally till may….
