I hope Bandit won’t mind me posting here, I don’t want to open a new thread because of one tip, but I do like this one a lot, and it’s for saturday, march 2.
Red Star Belgrade – Partizan Belgrade, Eternal Derby.
There is an old saying – there are no favorites in derbies, anything can happen. But fuck me, if there ever was one, here it is.
RS are having a great season, 21-2-0 in the league, 100% record at home, 11-0-0 with 33:4 goal difference. They even played CL after 20 years or so, and managed to beat Liverpool at home, although no one expected that. They sold 2 starters in january transfer windows – central defender Milos Degenek and central mid, Nenad Krsticic. They kept their stars players and added Ivanic from BATE, Gajic from Bordeaux, some random speedy Slovakian dude from Trnava, and few more players from Superliga. All in all, great window for them. In 2nd part of the season they’re 2-0-0, beat the shit out of Vojvodina 4-0 and got narrow win at Surdulica.
Partizan, my beloved club, has improved a bit. Not enough to surprise here, though. Currently 3rd, with 14-8-1 record, 6-4-1 away from home. They have some worries ahead of this game. Starting DC needs a surgery, so fuck knows who will replace him. 17y old kid who had a debut in 3-0 win over Proleter, or Scekic, who’s actually defensive mid. Red Star is 15pts ahead of Partizan, they will win the title 100%, no question about it. Note that pts will be halved at the end of regular season, after 30 round, because or league is super shit.
I do see Red Star winning this one with ease, perhaps 2-0 or so. Sadly.
