Hi, I’m in the same situation (or even worse cause I don’t own any house) and had same experiences as you did. Ofc no bank will give a penny while youre score is disastrous, their system won’t alow them. I tried all possible kinds of credits but ofc nobody gave me anything. The eeij’s answer is probably the best in your situation while you still have a chance. I don’t have a mortgage or anything so, in this moment, I’m just trying to decide about the bridge…

Get over the financial lose but remember how you feel about yourself right now. Those money won’t come back through gambling or events (probably). Think it could’ve been worse so stop being stupid right now, before it’s too late. What’s done is done, shit happens, forget about it, focus on other things!

no matter how many obstacles you’ll put between you and gambling there will allways be an alternative to gamble if you really want to… the complete lack of any money source is the only real “cure”… ironicaly,you’ll get there if you’ll continue gambling !… so it’s all about your will power but try to stop before it will be too late. gambling what you afford to lose it’s not an option,just stop,find another adrenaline source,play with the kids,do sky diving or whatever and when you see a gambling machine just think that’s boring,not fun at all,meaningless… what’s done is done,you’ll never be able to turn back time but you still have the chance to enjoy the rest of a happy life with your familly so forget whatever you lost or won,just step on a different path,there are plenty of people who don’t even care about gambling,people who never gambled a penny,be one of them! it’s not easy but it isn’t that hard either.stop thinking it’s hard to stop ,think that it’s piece of cake and just do it. you need to really dislike everything about gambling… nobody will help you when you’ll be broke,keep that in mind and everybody else will laugh at your back,some will probably cry for you,most will avoid you …you’ll be alone . so think that (i hope) you’re still in time to stop and do it . fk the bookers,the casinos,the bookies! they all suck and they get richer with any penny you spend there…. so,starting today,try to pass in front of a bookies shop and think to yourself: “i used to waste all my money here,what an idiot i was! fk it! ” …

i’m now in the point that i can’t pay my debts ,i got no hope for any financial support at all, i can’t sleep nights,i hate myself,i’m desesperated and my life sucks. i don’t see any real exit for this and i’m afraid to think about tommorow…i destroyed my life and my wife’s life already,i got nothing to care about anymore in this life.i don’t even believe in miracles anymore. Do you wanna be like me?? keep gambling!

@Slotsofun Yeah, I had (of course) that problem with my wife too… She never liked gambling and, as you did too, I didn’t tell her about my winnings cause she didn’t want me to play at all… During the years she kinda accepted the idea… The bad part is that now I put her too in debts with my late loses. So sometimes I think that was better when she didn’t know where some money were coming from but in the same time I wasn’t dare to ask her for money to play… She was exactly as you said :”if I catch you gambling”, lol…. On the other hand, she’s still with me and that says more than words. Your partner choosed to leave (if I get it right) and of course nobody could blame her, she made the rational choice, imho. My wife is still with me after all the bad times I gave her but I can assure you that she’s not happy… The level of stress that the gambling puts in our lives is not easy to live with. I must tell you that I honestly thought few times to divorce only because she deserves better and I hate make her suffering, I hate see her crying, it breaks my heart seeing her sad. So you maybe should think (even is painful for you) that maybe she’ll be better away from you. Sounds cruel but….

Love (they say) it’s not about rational choices.

Sorry if I interfere too deep in your private life, I just saw the similarities between our stories.

Yeah, it’s exactly why I’m angry (on me), cause I always fk up the good things :/ And now I crossed a line that I shouldn’t have. I’m completely blocked (financially) and yeah, as you said, my mental health isn’t quite brilliant 🙂 That’s one of the reasons why I posted this little story, writing it helps me forget and calm down a bit and speaking with ppl that really understand the issue is a great thing. Thanks Mark, I totally agree with you and I know those things but I never stick on them.. I lose more than I could afford and the 10k thing was just an illustration of how dumb I am when I lose control. It’s not necessarily about the amount. And yeah, as I said an account blocking is a way to go. Well, first I gotta sort out this mess somehow and I got no idea how, tbh. Cheers 🙂
