That was my problem i signed up to gamstop then went in arcades. What was the point in using gamstop. 3 weeks ago i decided to stop all slots betting and online poker ( mates account). Your right it’s not easy and i don’t know if I’ll keep it up but im going to try my hardest so please don’t fall into the trap i did of just substituting one form of gambling for another.

Yeah it’s such a hard habit to kick mate..Ive never really been one for the bookies personally…I did used to go in when I was younger and play but always hated the atmosphere and generally most of the people I met in there who more often than not would  badger me for a few quid or start telling me what numbers to play and just generally annoying the fck out of me. As soon as I found online gambling Ive never been back in one but literally the day after signing up to gamstop while walking past Willy Hill I had such a strong urge to go in and place a few quid in.. thankfully I was late for work so I didn’t have time ??. I can’t imagine the urge will ever go away it may not be as strong after a while but I reckon I’ll always be a gambler at heart.

They’ve probably lost a fortune if players could sit there for hours spinning for free but you also have to remember

1) An error like this shouldn’t happen, I’ve never heard of it happening on any other site. If it’s the slot provider who messed up then they should persue them. If its their own team that messed it up then they only have themselves to blame. I don’t believe the slot just started playing up on its own.

2) All withdrawals go through checks and they should have spotted something was up since I imagine the withdrawal amounts on the days it happened would be astronomical.

Either way it appears to me that this once decent casino has been going down hill since they secretly changed rtp and didn’t notify customers of this change until they was found out. I honestly don’t have a shred of sympathy for them.

Life lesson that mate I would never go into business with family or friends it just complicates things.

Ive almost finished a 10 hour shift in quite possibly the deadest shop I’ve ever worked at. Literally pottering around looking for stuff to do bored shitless  but only an hour to go until beer o’clock. ?

It’s a hard topic to discuss as we still do not really understand fully how the mind works..

I would say that will power comes into it and while it’s easy to say “Yeah it’s will power, I had a problem but I wanted to quit and so I did” the problem with a statement like this is that different people have different levels of addiction and while someone might have had a problem and quit and perhaps it was challenging that still can be 100x times more challenging for someone who is a compulsive gambler for example.

Of course I believe anyone is able to quit if they truly put their minds to it, even the most severe addictions.

I have a friend who has had every addiction under the sun as he has an obsessive compulsive  personality and he has said a few times to me that kicking gambling was harder than kicking opiates and that’s a pyshical dependency.

To those who think that people who say that people who are going to do it just do it I will say to that sorry but you’re wrong – everyone is different and you are basing your opinion purely based on your own past experiences. Also it’s makes more sense that you would post it up online where you are annouymous than to confide in your closest friend/relative as its not exactly a conversation you can just bring up without consequences that said person may not want.

Either way its better to show compassion rather than making a person who is at rock bottom feel worse. What’s the point in kicking someone while they are down?
