Don’t do this pub thing it’s too risky. You live there. It’s your local. I don’t trust a very small minority.
Easy solution is for him to ask who’s interested and then invite the people (via email) who are interested that he thinks are genuine, nice people and ain’t going to go all Ed Gein on him. 😛
1Here’s a thought to the people who are so upset that The Bandit makes a little bit of money from creating content – Do it your fucking selves if it’s such a golden cash cow. I say that knowing you won’t because:
A) It takes a lot of time to put these videos together.
B) You need to be entertaining and need people to like you otherwise you’ll have no audience and judging by the bitterness of these complaints I doubt these kind of people have what it takes. No one wants to watch a bleeding vagina after all.
C) You’re broke as fuck and just envious that The Bandit can actually play slots whenever he likes.
It’s not like The Bandit just set up his channel and suddenly got a load of people supporting him. He’s put a lot of work in over the years to get to point he is at now, he creates content and the majority of us enjoy it and don’t mind using his links to support him and as a little way of saying thank you.
On the subject of people asking for hand outs – when I first joined these forums I was the first one to speak up and say that certain forum members were being a bit too harsh on people posting up there problems after they was being ridiculed and tagged as just looking for a hand out but now I’m becoming a bit cynical. I’ve seen quite a few people trying to start go fund me pages for things they don’t need exercise bikes, phones…you name it and it’s starting to grate at me. I tried to help out Rikki for example as you don’t need exercise equipment to lose weight so after saying that and him posting it up it makes me think that money is actually for gambling, maybe not but I’m not as trusting as I once was. I’m also seeing people who aren’t even active members of the forums starting threads constantly asking about prize giveaways; no contributions or any other posts just “when you giving away more free money, Bandit?”
Literally so many parasites on these forums now if it wasn’t for people like Haz, Andy, Blacko, Bio and other regulars I would have fucked off a while back but I love the core of this community.
I may have overstepped the mark a bit with this post but like Haz it gets to the point where you can’t bite your tongue anymore.
3There is one tonight at 21:00 but like I said I haven’t advertised it so chances are no one will be signed up.
It was quite a lot looking back sometimes having an addictive and obsessive personality can be a good thing haha
Well if you don’t have to money to go the gym then I would just recommend doing excercise in your own house if your too anxious about going outside. You can start by doing push ups, sit ups, crunches and such even just walking up and down your stairs or even creating some space in your living room and running from one side to the other – the only thing that matters is that your heart rate is increasing and your burning off energy, you lose weight by burning off more calories than you take in. First thing to tackle is getting your diet sorted and sticking to it as diet is the main factor when losing weight and then start throwing in some excercises.
Just don’t fall into the mind set that because you can’t afford the gym or afford excercise equipment that you can’t lose weight because you can lose it just by eating healthy and excercising in your house 🙂 and hopefully your circumstances will change in the future and you can then join a gym if you feel confident enough and can afford it but as I said you don’t need the gym or equipment to lose it, it does help but ultimately you can do it without.
Remember Rome wasn’t built in a day so start out small and gradually challenge yourself to do more and same with the diet slowly decrease your portion sizes if that helps.
1Hey Rikki,
Don’t be silly about people calling you lazy! We all have our own circumstances and life experiences mould us into the people we are for better or for worse, it sounds like the death of your sister had a massive impact on you and I’m sorry to hear that but the fact you have made a step in the right direction to shed some weight speaks volumes, good on you matey.
I can definitely relate to your story as I also suffer from anxiety and depression and a few years back I weighed around 17 stone which was massive for me considering I’m only 5″6 in height. I must have been around 24ish when I decided to tackle my weight issue. I started off small with going for walks – the job I used to work in Crewe required me to go to the bank at the end of every shift so I was walking mon-fri for about an hour doing those bank runs. It was near the end of the working day so I had to walk rather fast to get there and the first few times my heart felt like it was going to explode but I kept doing it and every time I challenged myself to walk even faster to the point I was striding down the street and upon getting to the bank I would check the time I made it in, every time I got there a bit faster it motivated me just a little bit more. It wasn’t long before I felt confident enough to start jogging there, then running then doing sprints…I must have looked like a lunatic but I just pushed on anyway.
After a month or so the pounds started to drop off and I got into the routine of exercising on a daily basis and with that I started to eat a healthy diet as I didn’t want all the work I was putting in to be for nothing. My diet was pretty simple: Smoothies in the morning or something healthy like porridge. bran flakes or a bowl of fruit. For lunch as I was busy working I would have John West tuna pots – little pots with pasta, sauce, tuna and vegetables in although you could make these yourself for a lot less or I would have tuna pasta using wholewheat pasta and 0% fat mayonnaise (small portions) and in the evening I would have baked sweet potato wedges, sweetcorn and lemon sole fish but really just find something healthy that you enjoy eating for me it was that and make sure to eat sensible sized portions. If I was ever peckish in between meals I would snack on yogurt, fruit or fill myself up on water. The hunger pangs at first are horrible but as your stomach shrinks you get used to it.
As I said I suffer from anxiety but I was with my girlfriend (ex) at the time and she wanted to sign up to the Gym so I decided to sign up too because she was going but had I been on my own I doubt I would have worked up the nerve. I actually signed up to Bannatyne health club (owned by Duncan Bannatyne from Dragons Den) as they had a promotion on and the price was reasonable at the time. It included a sauna, steam room, swimming pool, gym and access to free fitness classes so there was a lot to do in the place so I started going for 2 hours a day after work just jumping on the treadmill and alternating between walking, jogging, running and sprinting and then adding an incline in as I got fitter and ending the session by doing some weights and jumping on the rowing machine/cross trainer. I started to take healthy eating even more seriously at this point as the treadmills displayed how many calories you burnt whilst on it and it takes way over 45 minutes just to burn of a bloody mars bar haha 😀
After around 2-3 months of doing this rigorously the stones completely fell off me I lost around 7 stone in just under 3 months and now I find it hard to gain weight. I definitely felt more confident and it seemed like people were more willing to interact with me whether that was because of the confidence boost or me losing weight I’ll never know, maybe it was a combination of the two – people are very fickle and vain I found after I lost the weight. I think when you go through the struggle of losing weight you sub consciously change the way you think about food also, now when I go into a shop I don’t even bother looking at the junk food anymore.
I hope me sharing this story helped in some way even if it was just for some ideas or motivation, best of luck to you mate just remember it’s all about being determined and getting into that routine, once your in it then all you have to do is maintain. If I can do it then I’m sure you can as I’m the laziest fucker that’s ever existed haha 🙂
Hitting more than 3 scatters on games where extra scatters do bugger all really boils my piss.
1For me it’s to be bitten by a radioactive spider but seeing as that ain’t going to happen I’ll settle for Liverpool winning the league 🙂
One of the above named streamers is in my opinion a terrible actor.
I honestly couldn’t guess who you might be referring too 😀 😀
I was getting really excited up until the part where you said you need to be intelligent and well spoken ha! 😛 It does sound like a dream job though, hopefully someone on here takes you up on your offer. 🙂
Chip has to be one of the unluckiest streamers I’ve watched to date, he still uploads videos of him playing losing sessions (most of his videos actually) but I’ve noticed he tends to show the bonus roll in on the highlight reel then cut it if it’s a bad bonus….that kind of annoys me, should show the good and bad sides of gambling. I’d hate it if The Bandit did that, part of the fun of watching is listening to him berate a slot that paid him absolute shite haha.
As for doing £5 spins well they kind of have to do those kind of spins as most play with wagering money and even a £300 deposit with a bonus means you need to wager around £10,500 or more so without getting a decent bonus on high stakes it’s very unlikely your going to do that. It’s obviously easier for a lot of popular streamers people like Nickslots who get paid for streaming on YT/Twitch, uploading YT highlight videos, affiliation links, selling merchandise on Casino Grounds and such, he apparently donates all his YT donations to charity but you would still imagine he is making a decent turn around even without them. These streamers are still gambling within their means due to this as I imagine losing £2000 on a stream wouldn’t really affect these streamers all that much. Even when they are on a “bad run” it’s not going to compare to your average slot player as they have a constant income coming in just from playing and recording. If I had the capital to get started I’d probably do the same thing though, can’t really blame them!
2Sorry guys! I set up the heads up last week but I’ve had a lot of shit happen the past 2 weeks which is why I’ve barely been active here and completely forgot to make a post on here and TGC so it is set up for tomorrow but not many people probably know about it so feel free to sign up but I doubt there will be many people playing – I’m stuck in working tomorrow, sadly. I’m contemplating what I want to do with myself moving forward however and I’m thinking of signing up to Gamstop soon so you may need to get someone else to arrange these games – hopefully Bio will be up for keeping them going, I’m still undecided currently having an internal conflict with myself even though I know what the correct decision should be.
Don’t mean to derail this thread but if Bio or someone else could set up the next one as I don’t want these home games to stop just because I may not be around much!
Much love guys 🙂
I’d be up for this depending on what day it falls on. I’m not too far from Wrexham so should be a good laugh and would also be my first time playing live poker 😀
I don’t see anything wrong with taking kids to the arcades as long as its in moderation and you are keeping a close eye on them if they show addictive tendencies then perhaps don’t take them again but as a kid I used to love going to my local sea side arcade and really I didn’t even bother with the fruities I was more interested in the shooting and racing games and the penny drop games.
The min I deposit is £10 but I tend to stick to the rule of choosing my stakes so I get 100 spins otherwise I would feel I haven’t given the slot a chance to bonus after 100 spins I’ll either go for another 50 and move on or just move on if it hasn’t paid anything in the base game.
I’ve tried it a few times this month and bonused it like 4 times and each and every time I’ve had the respins followed by the bonus guarantee. I’m not a fan of this one.
