Hiya green hope your well mate. I came off gamstop in may and in all honesty it’s not that straight forward. Firstly i had to ring them to take it off which takes 24 hours to disable. Second when i did try to deposit i had to go through vigorous chats in live chat with casumo before they would re open my account. Signing back up was a nightmare. Photo id passport proof of address and all the rest of it. Tbh i nearly gave up signing back up but i did for a year and I’m glad i did.

I second this completely. I remember making a topic when i signed back up in March warning people who were thinking of coming off just how difficult it is to rejoin afterwards.

For something that is so easy to join the first time around they make it extremely lengthy to sign back up once you come off. So much so that i even signed up for the full 5 years just to make all the faffing around worthwhile.

They say its to fully ensure that it is you that is wanting to rejoin and not someone doing it on your behalf. But i guess like in my case for something that has been a complete god send it was always going to be worth the extra requirements.

When i did come off for my short return i remember all of the sites that i had accounts with wouldnt let me play again right away after the 24 hours passed and every one of them i had to contact live support who then contacted gamstop themselves to ensure i had lifted the ban, some sites although i cant remember exactly who wouldnt even let me re open the account. Fortunately for me sky bet did after they completed their checks and i was able to get my bets on for cheltenham before rejoining again.

If you are only wanting a temporary play and are serious about rejoining and prepared to go through all of the hassle to get back on afterwards then I’d say fire away, and i hope you get some nice wins over the time of play, thats what i done. But if you feel you may not have all docs theyre going to require and/ or wont be prepared to go through all the steps to sign back up then id seriously consider if the christmas play would be worth potentially jepodising your chances of controlling future gambling. Gamstop is an amazing tool and at the moment you have full use of it, the last thing you want to do is lose that tool by not having sufficient docs to be able to rejoin. ?

You’re right mate, I only wanted a little flutter I’ve left myself enough or a budget for a £50-75 deposit after paying off bills and sorting out christmas and the rest has gone into a savings account that I can’t withdraw from, If I had the money available I’d no doubt keep depositing until I’m skint since I lack self control. Its just not worth the hassle, I’ll be renewing my passport soon but I’d rather not have to jump through hoops to resign up because I’d end up in the same routine as I was in 6 months ago and really can’t be doing with that. Nice to log in to my bank account now adays and it’s not all gloom and doom. 🙂

Ah well guess I’ll just watch The Bandits Christmas special instead, I’m hoping for a mental one, Steve! Perhaps a bit of paint this Christmas? ?

It’s a right pain in the arse from what I remember. You have to print and sign shit, fill forms out, and then you inform them you want it removing, then a cool off period (maybe 24 hours) and then the casino can start you on a cool off period before reopening the account. Could be wrong as it was a while ago I did it. ?

Ah well I guess this proves Gamstop works then because I can’t be arsed going through it for one session, too much hassle. 😛

    Cheers Haz and likewise!

Well that’s a bit shit, my passport expired 6 months ago and I haven’t bothered renewing it yet. I was playing at that casino that’s not on gamstop which I won’t name but back then my passport had expired a week before I sent it off without my realising.. I was told to send a photo of my birth certificate instead and they verified me, think a site like casumo would accept that if they do verify me?

Bit of a joke having to reverify after already doing so even if signed up to gamstop.

That’s a cracking offer, Seedy. I’ll check it out and check out the games they have to offer when I get home from work, cheers mate. ?

Hey guys, long time no see!

I’ve not been around these parts much as I’ve been trying to keep myself busy while I was self excluded and have been doing a lot of gaming to preoccupy myself.

I signed up for gamstop 6 months ago and on the 15th my ban will end. I’ve decided to have a little flutter over Xmas playing some poker before signing back up to gamstop.

So I’m just wondering do you receive an email when your ban is up? Do I need to do anything to get the ban lifted or is it automatic?

And finally, what process do I have to go through to sign back up to gamstop? Is it as simple as the first time?

Yo Mr Green i think its been mentioned you have to jump through a lot of hoops even after your ban has ended I cant be sure though ?

You been smashing WOW Classic? also you should get yourself gamepass on PC we can play some of the cross platform titles ?

Ah christ, that’s going to be a problem, need my passport renewing! I just hope I don’t have to go through verification again since I haven’t played for 6 months..

I have indeed matey, been smashing it.. Level 52 Warlock now which has taken me over 3 weeks haha. I rolled on a PvP realm so I’ve been getting ganked none stop by horde scum but still grinding it out!

How much does game pass cost mate? I wouldn’t mind reaching celebrity status by being on one of your streams (until people see how bad I am haha).

They used to be a great site and you’d get quite a lot of hours of play there because if you bust you still had the slot battles which had free rolls and other formats where you had a chance to play slots for free essentially and win back some of what you lost but I think they changed that as well adding bigger requirements to play in these free rolls as I remember being able to stick £50 in and I could play in them a few months later I stick £200 odd in and bust and it tells me I haven’t wagered enough through the slots…..then they reduced the RTP of games for UK players without actually informing us and it looks like they’ve done it again for everyone now and again informed no one.

If any casino reduces RTP then they should either put it up on the home page, email you with a notification or inbox you on their site. It’s so sly and seedy the way they have gone about it, honestly will never trust this company again. I hope they get shut down, it’s what they deserve fucking deceitful wankers. If other casino’s can still offer normal RTP to all it’s customers then a site as big as VS should be able to do the same, fucking greed is what it is.

Sly fuckers I’d imagine it’s due to you winning a lot in comparison to your deposits how much did you put in/take out?

Gotta love online casinos and banning you from bonuses because errr yer kno… Sometimes house edge just isn’t enough!

in reply to: How Will a £2 Cap on Online Slots Affect Streamers #82879

It won’t affect me if I decided to play online very rarely go above £1 but like Malky said if you take a welcome bonus there’s no chance your cashing out with £2 max bet so it’s going to make bonus offers for UK players completely redundant.

I’m not sure I actually agree with this one and most of the time I’m all for more restrictions being added but I feel this change will punish too many players who do like to bet above £2. Casinos already have to ask for proof of income so surely the best thing to do would be to use that information in a shared database amongst all casinos you sign up to and once you reach a certain % of your annual wage they cut you off for the year. Obviously that would be a lot harder to do because people often have multiple sources of income but surely there’s a better way of doing it rather than punishing everyone, there are some people who can gamble and not lose everything, not me like but plenty of other people ?.

You can’t beat Steve for banter I’ve noticed that a few streamers have been trying to sound similar to him but there banter game is weak.

I think his pineapple peeler comment will always be my favourite but he does come out with some funny shit ?.
