Good! Horrible horrible feature to have on a game anyway! Look how much streamers alone  have ripped on games such as chilli and Vikings unleashed, just to get to the maximum bonus.

Agreed a much welcomed change! Is this to do with UK law or something? @eejit

Im still here mate I’ve been meaning to tune in and did the other night when you was on that Quantum game but I ended up closing it because I was so tired I’ve been working crazy hours the past 2 weeks… Last Thursday I did 12 hours followed by 15 on the Friday then another 12 on the Saturday and then 8 hours on Sunday  to say I’m goosed is an understatement ?? but on the bright side I should be able to afford a PC come payday ???.

I’ll be tuning in again when my shifts go back to normal. ?

Hey mate lol was wondering where you was lol did think you had gone quiet. At least know your all fine lol. Let me know when you need help with that PC mate ??

Haha I’ve missed watching you drive like a raging alcoholic on F1 mate ill be watching the next stream as this week isn’t as hectic.

I will do mate! My brother put me into contact with one of his friends who is a PC whizz and said he will build me the best pc possible with my budget… Only problem is he wants £50 for assembling it which I wouldn’t mind paying if the pc was going to cost £800+ but as I’m only looking to spend £300-£400 it seems a bit much in comparison and I’m wondering if the pc he would build would actually be that much better than what I can get used or from a custom build site.

I wasn’t even aware that Videoslots let you pay with your phone bill… Since when have they done this?

I’ve only ever seen this payment option on poor casinos with no known games such as Mfortune and a few others but they ain’t worth playing on as the game pay outs are terrible.

Perhaps you should get in to contact with Videoslots and enquire if they can remove this as a payment option for you, just being able to throw £10 or £20 on your phone bill seems too easy and even easier for it to start racking up.. Glad I’m on gamstop otherwise I imagine I’d have a £300 phone bill every month..

yeh, I blocked the casino on my poker sites too but it doesn’t stop me playing casino elsewhere. The problem with being an addict lol. I keep loosing on casino then that tilts me so poker bankroll goes. I am trying to self exclude from the casinos and just keep playing poker, but I don’t trust myself not to sign up to other sites. Anyways thanks for the gamban info I guess I won’t be signing up to it though, I just gotta try and stick to poker. Cheers good luck!

I dont know if this will be much help but one thing that helped me a little was when I was going to be playing rather than put a big balance on the site I’d only deposit enough to register to the tournaments I wanted to play and registered to them as soon as I deposited. Best of luck on the tables anyhow!

if I told the truth would have worse consequences than lying at the mo. But ye your right maybe telling them is for the best. I watch vids online to try make me not wanna gamble. It’s actually the devil tho, like I can’t beat it.

You can beat it mate but you have to want to quit to actually quit, just like beating any addiction. Just like when someone is trying to quit smoking a good thing to do and remember is the time since your last cigarette after you’ve gone a week without one it seems more possible and you can apply that to gambling perhaps you go the bookies every day but you decide to quit and even going without for one day is a massive achievement use that  “Wow, I’ve gone a whole day without gambling didn’t think I could” to push you forward and motivate you.

Don’t let slip ups stop you, they will most likely happen the important part is to learn your lesson and get back on too trying to beat the addiction.

Its not easy, especially gambling I’ve been addicted to many things (weed, video games, drink, cigarettes) even silly things that you would think you can’t get addicted too but I have an obsessive addictive personality so I have to constantly try to make sure I’m not overdoing something before I spiral out of control and out of everything gambling has been the hardest thing for me to quit.

You can do it mate if your partner will be supportive and will essentially keep tabs on you then that’s the best way to start when trying to quit, throw as many obstacles in your way as possible.

Just think there was a time in your life when you never gambled and never had the urge too, it’s not too farfetched to think you can go back to that.

Best of luck mate and keep us updated on what your doing, if you ever need support then there’s plenty of members here who will be there for you.

I’m the same mate love playing poker but slots, roulette and blackjack are my downfall. I’ve never had the inclination to up the stakes on poker… Quite happy to play micro tournaments even with a bigger bankroll but can easily do £100 a spin on roulette or a hand of BJ without a second thought.

To anwser your question though, no. If you sign up to gamstop you’ll not be able to play on any poker sites online you’ll only be able to play live poker at casinos etc.

You can ask poker sites to block you from using their casino but we both know that’s not much help when you can deposit elsewhere although it might stop you blowing through your bankroll on that particular site.

It is frustrating when your chasing…

I had something similar happen to me when I was still gambling. I’d signed up to Videoslots and hit a massive win on Magic Mirror 2 but the game crashed and I had to wait for a fix.. I also was waiting for my bank to send a recent statement to get verified.

I decided to try be sensible so I set my deposit limit to £200 for the month or so I thought.. In my eagerness I’d set a £200 loss limit instead but hadn’t noticed.

VS eventually got Magic Mirror working and I got paid.. then the reckless gambler in me took over and I headed straight over to virtual roulette where I managed to blow £200 in a few minutes… Was just about to double the bet and spin a silly amount away and then I got a message saying I’d reached my loss limit… I was obviously fuming at the time when I was in tilt mode and chasing but obviously looking back it was the best thing that could of happened since I withdrew 800 which I defintely would have lost chasing but in the moment it was very frustrating..

Sorry to hear this mate, lots of people on here are going through similar problems (myself included) … I do find it odd how you prefer to play in the bookies or Arcades where the chance of a mega hit is none existant and clawing any money back is never going to happen (it’s not all that likely online either but there is a small chance atleast)

Im not trying to suggest playing online that’s even more dangerous since a deposit is just a click away.  I have just never been able to wrap my head around why someone would want to go sit next to someone smelling of piss or like they haven’t showered for a year and have to put up with a maximum win of £500 while also being heckled by regulars for a cut of the money you’ve won because they shouted out all 37 numbers to roulette and one of them came in and not to mention the £2 max bet that’s now in place. That was my experience with the bookies and I steer clear of them nowadays although the fobts did have a lot of money out of me in the past.

A top lad on these forums had a similar problem to you (Haz40) with the arcades and he made some significant changes to stop it happening.

So I’d suggest everything that Seedy suggested and also I’d suggest either giving your missus your bank cards or leaving them at home when you go to work to stop the temptation. I’d also sign up to gamstop for online exclusion just so you won’t be tempted to deposit to a site after you’ve excluded from the bookies and arcades.

You have to be determined to stop though otherwise all of this advice won’t mean a lot. I know what its like because I never wanted to stop either I went months going from bad situation to bad situation and doing everything in my power to avoid signing up… being skint every month for months on end still wasn’t enough motivation for me to sign up until I eventually signed up begrudgingly, you’d think losing a month’s wages once would be enough of a wake up call to sign up but I dragged my heels.

Even after signing up I’ve still had slip ups but I’m finally at the point where gambling isn’t constantly on my mind….ive gone back to gaming to keep my mind occupied and now I’m thinking about what I’m going to do next on the games I’m playing rather than how much I’m going to gamble when I’m paid and what slots I’m going to play.

But defintely the first thing you should do is come clean to your missus so she can help you tackle this addiction, it’s hard going at it alone and embarrassing to admit you have an addiction but it’s the best thing you can do when it comes to trying to rid yourself of this addiction.

Best of luck mate and fuck the fobts!

I don’t think it’s bizzare at all. I’ve done the same thing playing roulette before. Obviously it wasn’t a grand spin it was £100 but it’s all relative to how much you have isn’t it?

£1000 to me is a lot of money but to Jartu and a lot of other streamers it probably isn’t all the much.

Back a few years ago I remember being in work and my manager (who is also my cousin) had been messaging me with pictures of a crazy roulette run he’d been having online. I’d already been paid for the week and blew everything in the bookies leaving me with £5. When I saw his winning streak I thought “fuck it” and threw the last £5 into an online casino and put it on 0 on the digital roulette… Well it only went and landed and paid £180 which was pretty much what I was paid…

As far as I remember Jartu normally does high stake spins so like I said a grand spin probably isn’t a massive amount of money to him, it’s the equivalent of me doing a £25-50 spin.

As everyone else has said you have 0% chance of getting that money back, I’m sorry mate. Even if you told them someone else deposited using your card they wouldnt just give it you back they would launch an investigation and would want to pursue card fraud so no point going down that road.

I was in the same situation month after month until I broke the cycle and signed up to gamstop – blowing my monthly wages the day I was paid and then having to struggle for the month… this would include 1 hour 30 minute walks to work… and then back again 5-6 days a week for a month  since I couldn’t afford the bus, not being able to smoke for a month and having to constantly tell mates I can’t go on nights out followed by a lie or excuse since that was less embarrassing then telling them I couldn’t come because I’d gambled it all away and was skint.

Even signing up to gamban I still managed to find a casino not on it and started gambling again with limits in place at the only casino I could play on. I’m now self excluded from that casino also..as I did the same thing last month after removing my limits after a bad session. I thought I could do it but it turns out that I’m just one of those people that needs exclusion and cannot just gamble and stick to a budget; all or nothing.

So I suggest you sign up to gamban so this cannot happen again. If you have any family that can help you out approach them and explain the situation and they may help you out with some money or try get an overdraft from your bank. Failing that if your really that stuck I would take out a pay day loan only as a very last option but try to steer clear if you can these loans are extortionate and have put myself in a bad way finicially.

Best of luck mate, it ain’t easy quitting but you have to take the first steps… starting with gamstop.
