I suffer from the same problem, it’s not great and I’ve often done the same. I normally work between 10-15 hour shifts at my place of work so it’s not great when I don’t get a full nights sleep but I just can’t switch off normally. The advice I would offer and I’m sure it won’t be very popular but it does work for me is to smoke a joint that normally sends me straight to sleep within 30 minutes, I’ll normally stick the TV on or put a show on Netflix because for some reason the background noise helps me nod off. I don’t want to advocate the use of drugs and I understand it effects your health when mixed with tobacco (I’m already a smoker) but as I said it works for me, it might not be for you. I have tried everything from sleeping tablets to listening to the sound of dolphins (sad, I know) but this is the only thing that has helped me. I’d rather do this than risk losing my job. Hope you find something that works for you mate and hope I don’t get criticised for sharing this.

Definitely do not take out any loans, you’ve been 64k in debt so I’m sure you don’t need telling but this is a slope that can lead to ruin. One small loan, leads to another and before you know it you’re in over your head. I’m digging myself out of a hole right now that started with this train of thought.

Is there no way you can find an apprenticeship in barbering and go down that route? I can’t really offer much advice when it comes to that, I had a work colleague that started that way and the company paid for his course but I’m not sure if thats the norm.

Best one I’ve had so far is £80 from a 20p stake on Book of Dead, think I got Dog face or Emperor other than that I’ve not had much luck. Kind of new to playing slots though I’m normally found playing Poker or BJ.

I’ve already replied to a few of these threads but at the end of the day this is a gambling community, you have to expect that there are going to be stories of big losses as well as big wins, you can’t have one without the other that’s the nature of gambling to only post positive gambling experiences gives a false image of what really happens and can be very damaging to some people in the long run, these stories can actually be very helpful to someone who may be about to attempt something stupid and put themselves into a bad spot, it heeds as a warning to gamble within your means.

While it’s a given some of these posts may be people looking for a quick hand out it’s best to not instantly judge someone as they may be posting purely to vent or to ask advice, there are people on here who are older and wiser and have been in a similar situation before who can offer advice or support. I’ve only been on the forums a few weeks but in that time I’ve experienced that this community is ultimately friendly and a close knit group, we don’t want to scare people away from sharing their experiences or what is on there minds as they may post here as they feel as gamblers they won’t be judged as harshly as they would elsewhere as a lot of us have made the mistakes they have at some point. I think The Bandit has been gambling long enough to spot someone who is just after a quick hand out so just try show a bit of compassion and empathy before jumping the gun.

That’s strange, only time that happened to me is when they gave me so many days to verify my age and I didn’t send it through in time so they locked my account. You could try email them and ask why you was blocked and see if they will unblock you.

I’m stuck in work atm on a 15 hour shift but I’ll check when I get home if any other poker sites offer home games…I’ve only ever played on Stars and Party Poker and can’t remember seeing it on Party. We will sort something out though as I’m sure everyone is itching to play with you Bandit. That sounded wrong but you know what I mean!

Just checked on my mobile and couldn’t see it either, that’s a shame, sorry buddy. It doesn’t surprise me as the mobile app isn’t the best I never seem to be able to find bounty builder tournaments when playing on it.

English guy, are you downloading on a laptop/Pc? If so try download it from http://www.pokerstars.com not sure if it will make a difference or not but worth a shot or there could just be problems with the site atm.

I’m not saying plug your shit at every turn but you’ve got a bunch of catchphrases that would be perfect for shirts. If you put your mind to it or read your forum, comments on YouTube, you will see what people associate with you and what they like. Put it on a shirt. You can source really nice high-quality fabrics for low prices in the UK, from India, China, Pakistan, even the US! With any luck you can find somebody local with high quality. The guys that make the packaging for Gucci, Chanel etc are 5 miles from my house.

If your internet is shit, pay for FTTP (fibre to the premises). You can put it down as a business expense and it’s 100% legit. You can also get grants from local councils and bodies set up to bring high speed broadband to people who don’t currently have access. If you ever want to sell the place, having the best internet for miles around is a great selling point.

If he released a shirt with “Wank Stain Coconut sniffer”  printed on it then I’d buy it and wear it with pride.

That’s shocking, matey! Sorry to see that, have you had the kind of sessions where you barely bonus and when you do it pays naff all and are never ahead for the session? Or are you chasing for a big win even when ahead? At what point do you withdraw if you are having a decent session?

No worries, bud! We can see how the turbo plays out but with the starting stacks it should take a while before it becomes push or fold. Anyone who’s interested join up to the club even if you can’t pay the buy in right away or can’t make this one you’ll still be in the club for futures games if it goes well!

For people as technologically impaired like myself to do this:

– Download the Pokerstars client (https://www.pokerstars.uk/) and create an account/log in.

-Once in the client in the bottom right you should see “more” tab click it and select home games.
