Always hard as a gambler to walk away when your on a streak but my advice is to play on Casumo, you can lock the pending withdrawal so you actually get the money in the bank even if you spunk it away later. Also realise the turning point, if you’ve got £500 and you’ve dropped to £200 just walk away, chances are your going to rip the balance if you continue and even though you may have pissed away £300 at least you are still £190 up from your original deposit even though at that point when your on tilt it feels like a loss. Harder said than done though, obviously!

Hey Bandit, didn’t realise you was a rum lover, it’s my drink of choice! I’d suggest giving Rumbullion! a try, really nice rum without a massive price tag for the quality of it, Pirates Grog is nice too as a sipping rum if your just having it on the rocks and cheaper still and El Dorado 12 years is gorgeous but a bit more pricey without going into Rums for over a ton.

Nice hit mate, is it me or does Reel King gamble ladder seem more reasonable than Capt Ventures? I was giving Ventures a bash on low stakes and gambling any tiny win that came in and never got past the 2nd gamble once!

Yep, that post accusing him of begging was a bit harsh, I didn’t get that impression from this guys post. My bit of advice would be to not touch pay day loans, at all. Get in touch with your energy suppliers/landlord etc and just explain that it’s been a hard month financially and try to set up some sort of plan to pay them back next month or in instalments.

When I used to play fobt’s I would go to Ladbrokes as it was across the street from my place of work and I never had much luck there but my cousin who is admittedly a lucky git went in with £5 playing roulette, every time he hit a number he would cash out and go on to the next machine, he ended up walking away with £500 one time. Another time he got a matched bonus on Bet365 and managed to get his £20 deposit (+£20 bonus) up to £500 on roulette then started playing slots to meet bonus requirements….we both didn’t really bother with slots at the time but he had a feeling a big loss was coming on roulette so he played a pirate themed slot think it was called Treasure Island or something like that and hit a feature where there was a map with treasure maps scattered about the place….had it on £2 stake and he walked away with £1500 from that feature. I’ve never had such luck and I’ve been gambling longer, he stopped 2 years ago and I still haven’t been able to get as lucky.

Such is the way with gambling, I don’t believe a company as big as Ladbrokes would be rigged. My advice is to play a game that doesn’t require you to gamble the bonus as at least you can walk away if you lose some of your initial balance. Also it’s called Lad’s broke for a reason! Sorry to hear you didn’t get lucky matey, it sucks but thats what happens 90% of the time, eh?

It depends on the casino, usually it’s 3-5 working days but I’ve had sites such as Pokerstars that pay out the very next day but usually 3-5 days (excluding Sundays)

Congratz matey, love hearing of stuff like this happening, especially at this time of year. Also want to thank you for this post as it made me log on to Casumo to see if they gave me a little gift for xmas, turned out I had 13 free spins on Fat Rabbit which netted me £2.50 took it over to Book of Dead on 10p spins and I landed dog face on the bonus and retriggered to win £25 then went on to Legacy of Egypt that gave a few £10 bonuses then I tried Jammin Jars that absolutely fcked me this month but landed a £25 base game win (Obviously teased the balls off of me during this win but alas no third jar) then to finish the bonus requirements I went onto Captain Venture for 200 odd spins and got a few decent base wins on 20p (£4 biggest one – five of a kind) and tons of teases but no bonus sadly.

I cashed out £40 which may not seem like a lot or a big deal but seeing as I currently have £0.01 in the bank it’s a massive boost to get it for nothing, it’s going to make it a bit easier for me until pay day rolls around to pay for travel to work and such.

Absolutely buzzing, once again thanks for posting this!

In poker it’s getting 1 outed, drives me nuts and I normally tilt afterwards and spew. In Roulette it’s missing by 1 number or the ball bouncing out of a winning number, BJ it’s getting dealt 20 against a 5 and them hitting like 5 cards to reach 21 and in slots it’s just not getting any entertainment value for money…those sessions where you burn all your money and don’t get a single feature and very little teases.

If it makes you feel any better I blew my monthly wage this month within a week gambling and never hit anything or got ahead with a single bet, was constantly chasing. That money should have gone to paying debts for pay day loans I took out at the start of the year that I have now not paid for the last 3 months trying to win it all back in one lucky session but it always ends the same…I know I’m a dope to think it will actually happen.

Only reason I took out those loans is I had a similar situation where for the first time ever I played high stakes roulette and got lucky walking away with 3k only to spunk it all buying news clothes, a laptop and treating friends to nights out and putting some back in to play with etc so I took out loans to tide me over and tried to go for a big win only for me to lose it all.

Don’t know what I’m going to do now I had a DMP set up which has now been closed but I will have to arrange some form of payment in January with these vile companies, for now I’ve just put it to the back of my mind until after Christmas and I’m just going to try have a nice Christmas for now and most likely a rotten year ahead but I put myself in this mess.

I’m lucky enough to be living with my folks still so my outgoings aren’t too high but now skint till Jan 15th and after arranging new payment plans most likely have the bare minimum to live on for 6-8 months. Gambling sucks sometimes eh? :/

“Please only play with what you can afford to lose”

is the mantra i go by when gambling though I know that the mindset is impossible to some. My mates girlfriend was playing slots and amassed a nice little pile of money and he was telling her to bank at least some of it but she just kept spinning and fed it all back in. Her attitude about the whole thing was so weird though, its like she didn’t care and the winning of money to her was just a side effect of spinning the reels and she wasn’t interested in making anything of it.

This is the sign of a degenerate compulsive gambler. For some it doesn’t matter how much they have won even if they withdraw they will throw it all back in at some point, they may have started for entertainment and to try get lucky and make a bit of extra money but it eventually gets to the point where they just want the fix of adrenaline and dopamine you get from hitting a big win. Casino’s love players like this, sometimes you have to play smart and just withdraw your original deposit back and play with the winnings but not many people do this. I find it interesting that Paul (Rolla) even in times of utter degening that he occasionally has the smarts to withdraw and block himself after a big win that recoups all of his losses for the session because I’m very similar and the temptation to go on and try double it is very hard to shake sometimes!

Yeah I watching watching that stream too but Rolla was going for the max, I’m sure he would have had a similar win had he just collected a bit earlier. I think he maxed spins once or twice but lost on a multiplayer gamble, personally I think it’s not worth the risk to get the multi too high because if you have max spins and you can trigger the multi a couple of times in just a single spin. Nice win though!

It can be infuriating to see these streamers hit these huge wins then win nothing yourself but you have to remember a few things:

    1) YTer’s and Twitch gamblers get revenue from their channels, it may not be much but I bet it helps especially the more popular you are.

    2) Most are affiliated with online casinos so a lot of them get special treatment in terms of bonuses so they can promote the site

I’m not saying all do, but most. With this set up it means they can play more. Sometimes it can be good to have deeper pockets as I’m sure you’ve seen Bandit lose 1k-2k playing then reloading and hitting big on reel kings to recoup the loss but obviously it can always go the other way too.

In the end it all just comes down to luck I’ve spunked off close to £700 this month and just haven’t been lucky at all. Playing Poker this month I’ve built up a bank roll of $500 from a £100 deposit that I tried to take a shot with but ended up losing the majority of it in 2 buy ins getting massively unlucky KK on a 2 K A rainbow board, getting shoved on by AK for him to hit his A on the river and then AcAs on a Ad 9d 10s board to once again get shoved on once again on the flop against 9s 10d for him to 2 diamonds on the turn and river. The other £600 was on slots and mainly on Book of Dead when I did well over 800 spins at various stakes only to hit 2 bonuses that paid naff all, the only one that paid was when I had to lower the stake. It’s just the nature of the game as I had a session a few months back from a combination of Poker, BJ and Roulette where I managed to run up a bank roll of $3000 from a £100 deposit (Pokerstars converts to dollars on deposit).

A bit of both, when I’ve skinted myself for the month from being degen I find his videos tide me over until I can play again although when I see him risking it for a biscuit on Reel Kings that’s the type of play that entices me and makes me want to play as that’s generally how I gamble, huge risk, huge reward.

Hard to get money in the pot with a Royal Flush unless they are unfortunate to have something like 8/9s, FH or Quads (theres a video on youtube on Quads vs Royal, how sick would you be if you was holding quads?)

I play Poker, it’s my main game but I only play micro stakes. My fav tournament structure is bounty builders which I believe is going to be the future of Poker. It removes the stress of cashing as you can make your buy in back just from KO’s but obviously makes the game a bit more bingo like as people will call wide if you have a decent bounty with just about any 2 and it’s the right thing to do in most cases if your put in a spot to risk 1/2 your stack for a bounty that’s bigger than the buy in or the min cash (depending on players left etc).

I will say I’ve started to grow a bit tired of it all though, it’s devastating to build up a roll then move up the stakes and have to move back down after a succession of bad beats, getting it in ahead and losing, knowing that you had to make the call or shove and just getting unlucky, it happens a lot and takes a lot of mental endurance. Same for tournaments as well, making all the right moves and running deep then going out with AA vs a lower pair that hits his set or getting done by a runner runner straight or flush.

Nowadays I’ve just sodded off bankroll management and if I fancy playing for fun I’ll put $25 in when I’m paid and play $0.10/$0.25 cash table if I double up I’ll move to a $0.25/$0.50 table and try to double up then leave and join two $0.25/$0.50 tables and see what I can make from that if I have a good session I’ll keep moving up the stakes until I’ve got enough to take a shot at higher buy in tournaments or cash games. On occasions I’ve risked an entire balance on a heads up game or used the balance I’ve built up to try get lucky satting into a high roller tournament but still no great success as of yet but all you need is that lucky run in a high roller bounty builder to grow a massive balance so I would rather try that then spend hours upon hours, weeks upon weeks and months upon months sticking to bank roll management only to make a very small profit for the time put in and then go on a down swing and lose a lot of it. The main reason I do it though is because micro stakes are very hard to beat, you’ll find people saying that it’s easy but it’s not, you can’t play your own style of poker because playing more hands = paying more rake and it’s very hard to beat the rake at micro stakes and it’s very hard to cash in micro MTT’s since on Stars you have 5000+ people playing that tournament so yeah getting out of the micros as fast as you can would be my advice to anyone playing, if you don’t want to risk your own money doing it then build it up with other forms of gambling or go the high variance route until you have enough to start playing real poker where your bluffs might actually work etc.

    Gl at the tables!
