Well done for excluding yourself this way WB shows you are truly determined  to stop rather than just having a break. I know its not an easy thing to do.

Try not to get too down about what you did, we’re all humans and all make mistakes but the important part is you’ve learnt from it.

If I wasn’t getting paid in a Fort night I’d give you the money or borrow you it but by the sounds of it you need it sooner than that.

Chin up on the bright side you can’t play that god awful play n go game anymore :p (The sword and the grail)

Whatever you decide to do I would recommend staying away from bonus buys if you plan on playing £50 a week then you’ll blow through that in about 5 minutes with bonus buys and most of the time you end up with a massive loss from these and with not really having had a proper session you’ll only tempt yourself more to deposit again or find somewhere else if you have limits in place.

Better to do smaller spins and get a few bonuses that way even if they are rubbish you’ll find it easier walking away after a session or at least I do if I put £50 in and have a few bonuses it’s so much easier for me to walk than if I lost 5 bonus buys in a row.

Maybe it’s just me but whatever you do make sure you put limits on your accounts.

Those specs sound about right Green2711!  I think the original World of Warcraft had a 2004 graphics engine.  My Geforce 5600 ran so-and-so on on medium game settings and later I had the Geforce 6800 and that thing flew on high settings.  The Geforce 8800 would be a touch higher still.

To keep the nostalgia going, which years did you all play Warcraft and how far did you get in the game?

I played from late 2005 to late 2009.  I rolled 2 warlocks up to around level 20 to try out both factions, then carried on with the Alliance warlock thereafter.  I hit level 60 in mid-2006 (max level back then) and joined an up-and-coming social/raiding guild.  It was pretty good as none of us had raided before so we were all in it together, got each other attuned, Jailbreak etc.  Then we went on to complete Ony, MC, ZG, AQ20, BWL – all of them on farm.  Most were geared up in T2 by the end of 2006.  We got halfway through AQ40 then the clock stopped as it was Christmas and the Burning Crusade was around the corner.  So yes the Warcraft base game had my fondest memories.  While I liked the content from the Burning Crusade, there were some guild politics due to the reduced raid sizes and it meant that a lot of the players got left behind.  Then Lich King came out in late 2008, did Naxx (which I never saw the first time round) but lost interest soon after.

I originally rolled a Warrior in Vanilla and started raiding with a social guild at first then joined a more hardcore guild (not as hardcore as the guilds who cleared Naxx) and became Main tank we cleared everything in AQ40 up to Twin emp and C’thun and killed 2 bosses in Naxx before TBC but the guild went inactive by that time and no one was really that fussed at doing Naxx with TBC round the corner. I also had a gnome mage alt that I used to pvp I got to rank 10 and was pushing for grand marshal but ended up getting burnt out.

I stayed with that guild through TBC and it became a bit more casual then but we managed to clear everything other than Sunwell. After TBC the guild I was in since vanilla disbanded. I also met my first GF whilst playing TBC started out as friends running dungeons and helping her farm and eventually she moved over here and we was together for 5 years, how romantic eh ??.

Im Wotlk I rerolled a night elf hunter for the first few raids into Naxx then whilst waiting for more raid content I rerolled a blood elf holy paladin and mained that up until Cataclysm clearing all raids on heroic difficulty.

After Cata I decided to quit because the game had lost its charm by then. I was defintely what you would consider a no lifer and I shudder to think of /played time with all my mains and alts combined haha.

Thanks Seedy I’ll message you when I get back from work or tomorrow ?

I would just get a tower and hook it up to the tv instead of a monitor. Much better in my opinion, and you can mod the tower to how you want it, saving money as you go. No point spending money on a laptop for a puny little screen and for it to run like shit after a day or 2 ?

Yeah that’s what I’m going to do I think since I’ve always had problems with gaming laptops overheating and it will be cheaper to use a HDMI cable to link it to my tv.

Seedy if you get chance these are the minimum specs I’ll need

I got an Acer the other month which handles almsot anything, including 4 slots and poker at once, or a high vis game.

Your looking for the best graphics card you can get as standard, always look for top end G-Force with a large capacity RAM. It cost me approx 600quid… if your looking for cheaper you need a PC, not laptop. Laptop standard 250-400quid range wont handle well games like Football manager, never mind WOW.

I don’t think I’ll need the absolute best graphics card as I seem to remember Wow not being very graphic intensive to the point I could run it on a potato back in Vanilla days.

Also I looked up shadow but it seems Blizzard hands out bans for people using it.

Seedy if you could do that it would be most helpful mate I only realistically want to spend £400 max I’m not looking for a pro gaming computer just something that will run Wow without stutter and fps lag.

Thanks for the replies guys 🙂

The best ones imo are Party Poker and Unibet although Unibet doesn’t allow 3rd party hand history trackers and player stats/history if you use that type of software. Unibet is a lot softer; the playing field is generally quite poor so you can win quite a bit playing cash games there although I’m not a fan of the interface it’s a bit zany and childish and there is not a great selection of tournaments to play and the fields are small for most so again better chance to cash but obviously the prize pools aren’t massive. Party Poker has the best interface, more selection of tournaments (Freeze out, Bounty, rebuys etc) but the field is generally better than at Unibet but still soft in comparison to Pokerstars, the casino is good (I’m actually up there) and has a decent selection of games (sadly no Captain Venture though!).

Overall I’d say Party Poker is probably your best bet as you have more choice in terms of Poker tournaments and formats and you get a weekly rebate if you opt in via promotions as well as rake back.

Party poker no longer allow HH or HUDs. If you enjoy playing poker PP is the place to play as they are really striving to become better than pokerstars by making the site more recreational friendly.

That’s actually great news I’m more of a feel player myself so I’ve never used HUDs personally but it will feel like an even playing field now where actually paying attention to the table will be benificial instead of relying on software to make decisions for you.

When my gamstop ends I’ll probably continue on PP, in my eyes it’s already superior to Pokerstars.

Don’t forget folks… More rake is better.

Is there a worse slot in the world? 27 consecutive spins without a win of even 1p. I know its all high risk high reward but this is ridiculous on £2  stakes… I had 100 spins for the record and best win was 12 quid;. utter garbage. had more play and fun on doughnuts at 20p for ten quid than this. How do they even get away with it..?

Yes it’s called The sword and the grail and its officially a piece of shit ?

But yeah Napoleon is tilting so many 0 wins on that bonus, you usually get better base game hits… 2 soldiers pays quite a bit iirc.

I would probably start on a slightly higher stake on a game that bonuses fast and hope for a 50-100x hit on games like Wild North or Golden Colts if that comes in relatively fast then I’d go on the usual popular games on a smaller stake like Book, Rise of Merlin etc. My current flavour of the month game is Money Train  – really like this new slot and it seems bonus quite often in the base; at least for me.

Or I’ll do that in reverse and start on BoD/DHV on 50-60p if I get down to £40 then over to Wild North/Golden Colt on £2 a spin to try save the session.

Well that shocked me. No mention of legacy of Egypt or captain bob. ?

Haha Sadly I can no longer play Captain Bob on the site I’m on and my love of Legacy of Egypt is slowly fading it seems to take forever to bonus nowadays for me and eventually when it does it will give me 3-5 spins which are completely dead with not a sniff of a retrigger….but perhaps its always been like that and I was just getting extremely lucky earlier on with it… One things for sure it’s the only game I find impossible to leave and its ruiner a few decent balances over the last few months. ? If it ain’t working then it’s time to change strategy!

I was given an £18 bonus for free yesterday and Golden colts on 40p paid 100x back to back so it’s currently in my good graces ?.

It’s just postponement tactics, they obviously want you to reverse and spunk it rather than take a £25k hit. Just be patient and if you hear nothing back in the next few days then contact them again; if it was won fairly then they have to pay it if they try to refuse then you can always contact the GC but they will probably drag their heels a bit longer hoping for that reverse, don’t give in and congratulations!
