Ahhh I love those.
Betvictor used to credit me with £50 to use on their ‘bonus slots’ every other month or so. It was very random but I’d get an email saying there was 50 to spend. So I’d always go on, gamble 80p spins and usually blow the 50 and then find myself depositing my own money ….of course I did. Their trick worked….except for this one time…this one beautiful time.
I got the usual email saying £50 had been put on my bonus funds balance for slots… So by this point I’m pretty tired of these. They aren’t fun any more and always cost me more as I end up redepositing. So I decide, fuck it…. I’ll do bigger waging. £4 a spin and I get the bonus….I get the massive wild bonus, and it drops a decent fucking win in £600+ so I’m like WOO HOOO nice one…let’s withdraw it…then I saw the wagering was like 250x £50. Anyways, 3 spins later I get the bonus again and I only fucking hit the double act bonus thing….well it went big. I ended up getting a balance of just under £3,000. But I’m still miles Away from the wagering so I just keep clicking…and clicking….and clicking….for fucking hours until…. I have completed the wagering and there’s £2.5k sitting in my balance. I was able to withdraw it. Couldn’t fucking believe it.
And the funny thing is that after that….I never received another £50 bonus email. Funny that eh

Mine is similar although I was brought up in gambling family. What do you thinks going to end up happening to a seven your old kid who was kept quiet at weekends, whilst everyone went out, with said kid picking his own horses, on form and jockeys, and putting 5p ew yankees from his own money via his Uncle or Grandad??
If it wasn’t racing it was queuing up to play the bandit in the Social club and then playing bingo. I had about 8 schools as a kid (my dad was military) and was pretty lonely so ended up in the arcades.
I still have a borderline gambling addiction coupled with a borderline drinking problem but I’m on top of those for the moments. Sometimes I feel like asking my Mam – what the fuck were you thinking – but I don’t.
I’ve gotten into running and trying to get really fit, it’s helping.
I genuinely hope you get a hold of those two vices mate. Running is a really good thing in my opinion. Once you’re going out for a run daily, you get a bit of an addiction for that too (but it makes you live longer). My upbringing had some similarities. My dad and pop would say “come her lad, and pick a horse in this. If it wins you can keep the winnings. I’ll put a pound on it for you” or if we were in the pub “here you go mate, here’s a few Bob go and see if you can win on the machine”. All innocent and kind gestures, but those things definitely rooted the addiction for me.
I worked in a massive social club which has £250 jackpot bandits in them in my late teens. I’d put my wages and my tips in them to try and Jack them. Occasionally I would hit it,and all that did was make the bug worse.
When I was a young adult I discovered online slots…that was when things got real. I remember being 19 and winning £3,600 on a monopoly slot (can’t remember which one). I had a full line of the speccy guy. That single win made me realise (believe is a better word) that big money is readily available. Since then I have had a few big wins, but a lot of heavy losses that outweigh the wins since day 1 of gambling. When I had my daughter I got a much better grip on things. Every time I’d win I’d think “that’s a weekend away with the girls” or “that’s a new toy kitchen for the baby”. And when I’d spunk a couple hundred down the drain with nothin to show I’d think “that was the baby’s Christmas presents I’ve just blown” or “I could’ve used that money to go on a trip to the zoo with the baby”. Thoughts like that stop me putting more in the devil and stop me trying to push my luck when I’m ahead.
The things that have never helped my addiction are the big wins. They have just shown me I can do it and I chase it again and again. I used to sneakily go on the slots during the workday at my old firm. I remember loading bust the bank during a shift and because I was trying to play on the sky I didn’t pay attention to my stake and played £3.60 spins and hit the fat orange robber across on the bonus and won about £4,000 on that first spin during work. Couldn’t really focus for the rest of the shift because I wanted to play. I hit a £7k win on rhino the first time I ever played it after watching hypa and I won £15k on extra Chilli two years ago. I gamstopped for a year after that, and I’ve had a lot of big losses that make those wins a drop in the ocean.
Play within your means and stay healthy, but it is very hard to change your ways when you’ve gambled since being a kid. It roots in deep!

I get what you are saying but I swear to god I’ve managed to turn one £30 deposit into a few hundred quid many times. My usual process is I play cashing rainbows firsts. It’s a not-too-popular slot where the bonus locks the wilds in place, but the max win is 250x. Similar to clockwork nice.
Anyways, I might just be lucky but it seems to bonus a lot and the jackpot is easy-ish to hit. I’ve even has a jackpot line win in the main game a load of times. But I’ll play that slot with the first to second £30 deposits, and MOST OF THE TIME come away up. Once I get to £60-75 balance I’ll head over to either sword of khan or legacy of the dead. If I can get the balance to £100 I’ll go on a megaways slot a(currently Rick and morty or genie) and try and grind for a bonus.
I totally appreciate what you’re saying about whacking £150 in running one game entirely, but there’s no enjoyment from that for me and I would be super tilted if I blew £150 without any decent wins, bonuses or gameplay. At least if worst case scenario happened and I lost £150 over five deposits but LOADS of various games and gameplay I would have some play enjoyment from it. Playing one slot like that unless it was lil devil would be boring as fuck for me.

I usually deposit in £30 batches £0.60-£0.80 a spin. If I wipe the balance I will redeposit 3-5 more times. (£150 max)
Maybe it’s the games you’re trying. Some are a lot more volatile and some are just a twat to bonus. Like jammin jars or knights life.
1Extra Chilli used to be my thing. My technique was deposit £40, and do £10 bonus buys trying to gamble up to 24 spins. If I got there, I’d usually clear more than my initial deposit in that bonus (most of the time). Then I’d do £20 bonus buys with the winning and aim for 20 spins.
Most of the time I would do well to build the balance, but of course there would be the occasional session where I’d lose on the wheel instabin back to back until the money was gone…
And then there was the time where £40 became £15,000.
BUT NOW I never play it. I know it would take a good number of spins to get the bonus and then it would be so heartbreaking to lose on the first wheel spin and not be able to have another go straight away, but instead have to go through hundreds of spins just to get another crack at the wheel.
Point is, I think it depends on the game. A lot of games are worth playing through the many spins because the game is fun and base pays are good. Like Rick and Morty is enjoyable to spin through. Genie megaways has mini bonuses triggered throughout so that’s ok.
But games like buffalo, wolf gold and chili are not worth spending thousands of spins on just to get the bonus because you will inevitably risk your bonus or at least risk losing a good bonus in place of a 5 spin shitter.

But anyways, I thought I’ll give his vids a go yesterday. Watched one (can’t remember what he was playing) but on the right hand side in MASSIVE letters was this casino euro logo. Never fucking heard of that casino before and honestly about 2-3 times in the same vid he goes “over at casino euro today, if you want to give them a go the link is in the description” in his irritating brunmyish accent.
Some people seem to like him, but he isn’t my bag at all. Too pushy with his affiliate links and I’ve seen people on other forums suggesting he has pushed non UK regulated sites in the past too. Not cool.
Btw, I’m referring to chip here above. Not hideous, I like him. He seems genuine and soft. Like he is genuinely made up when he wins. Not over the top acting, just a genuine harmless guy who is entertaining to watch.
Ok, here’s mine…..
A couple of years ago I was doing sky’s super6 religiously. The place I worked had a league going on the sky site for a cash prize at the end, so I was dead eager to do well week on week….
I was also registered in a non-official ‘super6’ league with a recruitment company I used. Basically they carbon copied the fixtures of sky’s super6 each week onto their own league, except instead of a 250k prize, they would give out vouchers for the team who got the most points each week and then a final winner at the end. So I would always do exactly the same scores on both leagues the official sky one, and the makeshift rec company one. I was doing well on both and was likely going to come first or second in the work league.
Anyways .. my birthday weekend came up and I was getting on it pretty early with my mates. I log into the rec company league and set my results for the 6 fixtures. I go on sky sports and lost connection on my phone (was on the train on our way into Liverpool) so fucked it off thinking I’ll do it later.
The Monday comes around after a messy weekend and I’ve got an email of the recruitment company…..
They were congratulating me for my incredible predictions, and I’d won the weekly prize…. Where would I like my £50 vouchers etc….
I’d only fucking gone and called every single score correctly. On the fucking shitty pointless recruitment company league comp!

I feel lucky when I gamble so I think I can try it. You know, sometimes gambling is like Russian roulette for me because I always win.
