Right, so it depends on the game. When it indicates best strategy is when there is a genuine decision to be made at some point by the player. An example of this is on Deal or no Deal Go All The Way (the hint is in the name) to achieve the maximum RTP, you should continue throughout the bonus and gamble everything to get the top feature. That is the best strategy there.

Another example is Legend of the Pharaohs, where it offers you a choice of free spins upon a retrigger, and certain options will have a better theoretical RTP than others.

In the case of Reel King, the gamble is a true 50/50 gamble, meaning that the RTP is exactly 100% and therefore has no impact on the overall base game theoretical RTP of 94%. This is because you can only trigger the gamble via a win generated from the 94%. Hope this makes sense.

So theoretically speaking then on average you would lose first gamble 50% of the time. second 25% third gamble 12.5% and on average to would hit a six tier ladder 1 in every 64 times which is something like 1.56 % chance which sounds quite unrealistic in a way but if you sit playing and have up to 100 wins it’s actually more likely to happen than not. On average of course

Be careful to read t and c’s with video slots when I joined it was £10 matching bonus but when I lost my initial deposit I couldn’t play the bonus money as I had only released 1 pound of it from my own money.  It may have changed now you’ll have to check

Big bucks I remember as one of the best games when first came out that game would let you gamble up to 3 or 400 quid literally of a 50p win if you were brave enough of course. The other one was rocky with pots the amount of gold pots won before it got to even 251 quid was unreal even on 20p stake. In them days game did pay well when first installed

Many moons ago on the FOBTs, it was common for newly installed games to give you a decent-ish win on the very first spin, which can only have been to lure in players. But it worked out well for me one day, I discovered a new version of Rainbow Riches installed that very day was guaranteed to give you a 4 leprechaun bonus on the first spin. I went round 7 different bookies that morning and hit it on multiple machines in all of them, best part was I could tell from the pot levels whether anyone had already spun it or not. Made about £900.

Was that the rainbow riches that didn’t have pots. It had I think a streak or something instead on reels 2 3 and 4 ?

That must of been a decent  win in the base on 30 quid stake. Not many gambles to the top

Just a few years ago was due to go away for five days to Portugal to celebrate my birthday with my other half and friends. Villa and flights all paid for and a hire car waiting for us, classic case of living beyond our means. With no credit card to fall back on, as I ditched them a while before, I found myself 24 hours from departure with £20 to my name and pay day two weeks off. That £20 would have got us to the airport where a difficult convo with my friend would have followed revolving around me asking him to sub us a not inconsiderable amount of money – not the best way to start a holiday! In desperation I headed for BetFred in my lunch hour and resolved to play the next Racing Post Nap dog to win and reverse forecast. It wins and the forecast lands, my £20 is now £90. I’m spreading my bets, a tenner on the racing, a fiver on the virtual – proper mug bets – but they are winning. Forty five minutes in I’m at £350. Still not enough! I head for a fobt – of all things I’m playing their Cocoroach Racing game! I can’t lose! Finish off with some conservative roulette, walk out with £690. Great holiday – never in doubt!

Great win that mate bet you were buzzing ?
